    I love the conspiracy that FIFA gave the US the 2026 World Cup to stop them from prosecuting FIFA

    • @DerNatioller
      @DerNatioller 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This “conspiracy” is not really a “conspiracy theory.”
      It is a very plausible theory, knowing USA loves to investigate corruptions in foreign companies and states and use their extensive military to press their asses to jail, FIFA is knowingly corrupt, there is no question for that. Unfortunately, no powerful country loses anything from FIFA’s corruption, so they turn the blind eye from FIFA’s blatant obvious corruption.

    World Cup final: Argentina vs Qatar
    Messi missed the game thanks to “mysterious illness”. Qatar was unable to get in Argentina’s box all game while Argentina went full attack mode all game and scored 5 goals…all of them were ruled offside (including Julian Alvarez’ 30 yards long shot goal). Rodrigo De Paul, Angel Di Maria and Lisandro Martinez were sent off on 60th, 72nd and 85th minute causing a substitute Dybala to go on the pitch as a center-back. On 90+10th minute, Dybala committed a foul outside the box but the referee considered it a penalty. Qatar scored. The game ended 1-0 with the host Qatar as a world champion.

    It actually got worse this morning as it was just announced that beer won’t be sold inside stadiums during the World Cup. Budweiser who provide $100 million to FIFA for exclusive rights of beer sales at the World Cup just found out less then 48 hours before the World Cup. During the last World Cup, the Russian government stated they were struggling to cope with severe beer shortages during the World Cup.

    • @ThreePointOneFou
      @ThreePointOneFou 2 ปีที่แล้ว +101

      I'm not even remotely upset about this. Budweiser was the same company that, in 2014, joined with FIFA in basically running over Brazilian laws banning the sale of beer at soccer matches, laws that were enacted for a reason. Good to see Bud taking one hard on the chin for once.

    This absolutely reeks of hypocrisy. Anyone can have their likes/ dislikes when it comes to how countries do things but bringing selective virtue signalling into sports is hypocrisy at its peak. So no country should be allowed to host the world cup besides those that are completely innocent, apparently. The US is decidedly NOT, being the main western power that perpetuates the Gulf. It has also slaughtered way more people in the middle east than Qatar over the past decades.
    This speaks nothing to my personal opinion of Qatar, which is low, despite some of their slow positive changes. But I also separate these feelings from this sports tournament, something many new 'human rights' advocates similarly did with the Chinese Olympics. (China is currently committing genocide).
    Aside from bribery, nothing else should get in the way of a neutral sports tournament, as long as there is no interference. Why? because sports is a platform and a foundation for discourse as much as it is competition. Want to change Qatar? go there and talk to the people instead of pissing on them when you've never met a single Qatari. the majority of Qatar are foreign workers, many of whom are from the subcontinent. The vast majority aren't 'slaves,' or what the decidedly racist western media would tell you. To claim that is an insult. Being South Asian myself, I can say that despite Qatar's treatment of workers, many more are living in relative comfort and are a part of the nation's success.
    And politics doesn't determine whether a country is a good host or not. That is up to their determination to run a good World Cup, which they have in spades; as well as the hospitality of their people, which Arabs have in spades.
    If you're resorting to complaining about beer and how catastrophic its loss is I don't know what to say.

    diffrent countries = diffrent morals. The religion in Qatar prohibits alcohol consumption and bans LGBTQ +. I completly dissagree with the mistreatment of migrant workers in Qatar and neither do i defend them. But the fact that you're trying to change a country's morals (on alcohol and LGBTQ rights) is backwards. Just because the west has a certain Liberal belief dosen't make u have the moral high ground. when your coming as a guest to a country dosent mean you own the country and can change their laws/values/morals/religion. The hate is mainly leper from the west because they missed out on the competition this year, so now they think its okay to comepletly hate on this country making them extremly childish. im not even from Qatar and have no relation to the country and i can see this obvious western bias. No bias this was I think the best world cup i've seen. The final was the most exciting final of all time no debate, The shear unpredictability of matches gave us results id never thought id see like South Korea vs portugal, Brazil vs Croatia, Japan vs Germany, KSA vs argentina, france vs tunisia, brazil vs cameroon, and morrocco's incredible run to make history at this world cup.

      Dude, you say that "when your coming as a guest to a country doesn't mean you own the country and can change their laws/values/morals/religion" that means if it's hosted in let's say France that French people have the right to be Islamophobic and to treat anyone who is brown worse than they would treat someone white? That's the point you're making here and it doesn't hold very well yes you can have different views on issues but that doesn't give the right to openly discriminate. Also the matches that happened doesn't excuse the fact Qatar handles itself politically if you listened to what he had said and not took it at face value you would've realized about what he meant.

I'm glad there are some TH-camrs who are going to continue to talk about this. As an Indian American, this tournament has a different sting to it for me hearing all the stories of migrant workers, and as a result I wont be watching this tournament as a personal choice. I don't at all blame anyone for making a different choice than mine, and by no means do I feel morally superior making it. It's actually quite sad, I love the World Cup, I've watched it since 1994 with the memory of Baggio launching his penalty into orbit. But watching the players play in a stadium built on the blood of slave labor is too much for me, especially when many of them hailed from my country of birth.

    I don’t doubt the worker’s rights violation by Qatar and that’s something they should work on but the west is hypocritical. Similar violations happened in Brazil in the 2014 World Cup but no one spoke up about it and now some of those stadiums are sitting there empty. No one is talking about the human rights violations of Israel on Palestine, China on the Uyghur Chinese, Indians (small minority of hindutva) on the Indian Muslims, US being involved in the Middle East for the past 2 decades, British and their conquests and compare to those I think Qatar stands a world apart tbh. Regarding the lgbtq rights, the country is a Muslim country and people should understand that Islam doesn’t allow that as a practice so it should be understandable why it is banned. You can be from that community and come and watch the games but the moment you step beyond the line and start portraying then it’s going against the rules and that should be understandable. Lastly regarding women, I don’t doubt that there are rights violations in Qatar for women but to say that women are oppressed that’s not true. If you speak to women who live there, they will tell you how happy they are (not accounting for those that are actually oppressed which are a minority). Just because some things are not on a western standard doesn’t make them wrong. We should definitely stand up when there are any violations but there should be an understanding of balance and respect and fairness. Lastly, just because you don’t follow a religion that dates “a 1000 years ago” doesn’t mean other people don’t so have some respect for people that do. It goes back to the hypocrisy of having the same standards for yourself as you do for others. @Maqwell

    I'm glad I started watching your videos. Your post Ferguson era Man utd video got me hooked to your channel and its really good to hear that you're channel is not just an infotainment channel but also a morally righteous one as well.
    Im from Pakistan and I've lived in Qatar for 10+ years. Alot of what you said in this video is correct and I've got stories to back it up. Stories from individuals that have been affected by their "laws"; guardianship of women, racial prejudice not just from Qatari or other Arabs there but from employers and state as well.
    Qatar, along with other GCC states, is one of the most repressed governments out there. BUT that repression is only reserved for women and people from the Asia (subcontinent and east asia) and Africa. Qatari and other Arab men have the best life there. I abhor that place on the another level because how they have treated me, my family, my friends, my colleagues and my country men and women.
    Thank you for making this video so some people can avoid that place. ❤️❤️❤️😘🤗🤗

      @@duckey6806 the west especially America has no right to play moral compass. Why didn't yall keep the same smoke for Russia 2018?
      By your logic, The states shouldn't host 2026, given their horrendous history and present day evils- unfair treatment of black people by the police and justice system, insane gun violence, destabilization of many countries etc.

    For the LGBTQ thing I don't think its is hard to respect their countries rules. It is mainly a muslim country and you can't be gay in Islam. Other countries respect the fact that LGBTQ is allowed but no one can respect Qatar? It's like france, they literally banned the hijab and nobody says anything about it.
    You also need to realise most people around the world have a religion and will follow the text even if it was from 1000 years ago as it is a message sent from God

      Im not respecting bigotry and discrimination, they can follow their 2000 year old words all they want but if it paves the way for hate then fuck it tbh. There is no excuse for hate or discrimination, France and the hijab are no exception both are bad and you cant justify either.
