Thanks so much for posting all these videos. This is arguably the most underrated strategy game of all time, with an amazing storyline to boot. I love how they [Microsoft & Ensemble studios] tied all of it together in the game and provided a gaming experience I will never forget....

So, *Atlantis* were submerged after a mortal combat between Arkantos against Poseidon and Gargarensis? Wow, *Zeus* should be happy about this announcement! ;)
1:49 definitely reading too deep into it but each character's last line is definitely consistent with their character. To Odysseus, this is just one chapter of his 17-year ordeal, so he can only focus on what's been lost. Amanra, the most faithful character, sees the kernel of hope in this horrible situation. And Ajax is just worried about his friend.
I imagine he'll be something like the God Protector of Atlantis, just like how Athena was to City of Athens. Not all gods hold a domain over ideal concepts in Greek Mythology. Some are heroes made gods, like Herakles. Although it'd have been nice to know if Arkantos was a Demigod after all. Lacking domain info here. =)
@@LuckiSir they aren't dead they just became powerless (or at least very weak). once all their followers return and their temples are rebuilt they'll get their power back

I think the game ended bad. A far greater end would be that Arkantos swam out to the others and was picked up into the ship. Because that could open up for a romantic relationship between Arkantos and Amanra.

The only problem I have with Age of Mythology is that it lacks veterancy like the CoH and C&C strategy games have.
