Using map editor I replaced the Titan with a giant baboon, and that's all I can think of when I hear that quote, so it never fails to make me laugh

After that happen, I was like, "Nigga! He just put the whole world in danger by helping the Titans!"
Tbh Arkantos only acted pretty much at the last moment even though he knew everything about his son getting deceived and so on.
Remember when back in the day, these graphics blew out minds when the game first came out!!!

I find it pretty cool how the common threat of the Titans brought together factions that were enemies in the original campaign. You play Set worshippers when fighting the titan in Egypt and Folstag becomes your ally when fighting the titan in the Northlands.
There were campaigns in the original game where Amanra worshipped Set and there were also campaigns where the enemy worshipped Isis.
3:06 Y'know despite Oranos and the Titans trickery, Kastor makes a fair point. What is the point of praising gods that ignore your prayers and have seemingly left you and your people in the cold, abandoned, forsaken. I can understand why it would be all too tempting to turn to any other gods in a time of dire circumstances, even the Titans for aid and guidance, despite the past.
Late reply but the entire point of faith is that it comes from within and doesn't waver when the circumstances are grim. That's why it's faith and not an opportunistic alliance. And though one's faith in a person can falter cause people are fallible, faith in God is supposed to be unyielding cause God is supposed to represent perfection, virtue and love, otherwise why would you worship the entity?

Yeah I found that bit really weird. Wonder why Arkantos and co forsook the Atlanteans. Heck Arkantos could have just talked to his son before the titans got summoned and prevented this from happening in the first place.
Kronos' opening narration is just awesome.

I still don't understand Cronos's plan, restore the atlantean civilization and then somehow help to reach Mount Olympus, kill guardians and then liberate the lesser Titans to THEN liberate the big ones, lol

We have a small colony South of the island, come we us but don't touch these old Titans Temples, we believe that this is bad. The Game and its expansion still 10/10 extremely recommended
I can kinda explain Cronos's plan. He released his servant to guide a gullible army. The servant shows the Atlantians, which came back to Atlantis to rebuild, the "true gods". When they got to the island, they were set on the new gods. So even if the Greeks showed up to tell them otherwise, the Atlantians will deny what they say.
Major note: In the Fall of the Trident, Athena in Arkantos dream, told him the only way Kronos can escape is with the help of a mortal. The servant of Kronos, may not be considered mortal, but that's what Kastor is for.

Yeah, they had two expansions. The first is Atlantians, and the second Chinese.

Because they're worshiping the titan gods these titan gods were banished and locked into tartarus by zeus atlanteans orginally worshipped poseidon and the olympian gods. So to worship titans like kronos and rebuild they're temples was seen as upmost betrayal.

In real life there are many that try to trick you like Krios, but no one to warn you in advance as Arkanthos does to Amanra (to addition to 99+ reasons why life sucks)
i love how when they got to the norselands to fight the titan there that one frost giant just freezes the deer that was there
i loved this game and enjoyed it so much but one of the reason why i played this and loved it is the cutscenes.
Why'd they settle Scandinavia when they had Spain just east of them?

In order to get a more realistic gods cultures in the game, they have to get into scandinavia. But I get your point. Maybe going to Germany/Deutschland would be enoght because they worshipped norse gods.
The first game was this really involved, complex story and then Titans is basically a game about Kastor being a tool. :p my childhood.

it's actually explained in his character bio that after the events of the main campaign, he actually worked out a peace agreement between the Norse people and the Giants...

I have been playing AoM since I was 4 years old(2002) and I am still playing it now (14 years old). It's much better than most nowdays games *cough* shooters *cough*
Honestly, seeing this campaign, Fall of the Trident and the Golden Gift remastered would be incredible.
