I don't see why would they want to make a Remaster of an already Remastered game, sounds like a cash grab then.

Aoe2 multiplayer was miles ahead tho. The town center system in aom together with the hard pop cap makes every game a stance still until somebody gets an advantage, and then it's full snowball. But the single player if aom will be in my heart forever
The map Editor. But actually everything was great. In the dwarven campaign when you realize Loki tricked you with folstag Banner. 10/10 Also the infotext of each Unit. This game got me interested in Mythology.😊
Best thing about aom was that it was actually educational - in mythology, culture and language from various countries. Would love to see Celtic, Indian and Japanese mythology added to the new game.

They might, given AoE 2's success. But if they do, two things I persobally want: 1- *redo the entirety of the Tale of the Dragon campaign!* The maps, the textures, even the stories could use a lot of tweaks and improvement. 2 - maybe 1 or 2 new Civilizations with their Myth Units and God Powers, maybe Persians or Babylonians. This one is tough, though, because a lot of their aspects were already incorporated into either the Greeks or the Egyptians.
There is a god power in the game that turns your soldiers into myth unit killing machines. However, it is only available to followers of Oranos and Kronos - the titans banished behind the gates. How ironic.
Both those scenes are absolute beauties but I think for me it has to be the first scene of Kronos rising up from behind the hill, his awesome size and the sound as he’s pulling a meteor down from the sky. What a game.

As a kid, this intro always seemed so epic to me. I still remember exactly how I felt. The flashbacks even scared me a bit. But then Zeus gave them strength! Like a dream. I loved it.
This is an amazing game intro, not only it's cool looking and epic, but also it tells the context you need to know before you start the game's campaign. It's kind of like the prologue of the Lord of the Rings
Honestly looking at this intro, I think the mechanic that the Atlanteans have for their Heroic units was either prototyped and shown in the intro, or was inspired by the intro, because literally, human units getting decimated by Myth units, only for them to get a blessing from the gods, and then charge right in and destroy the Myth Units.
I Love that the Intro Portrays the "Backstory" and the hint of Poseidon being the Bad Guy. The Intro Shows the war between the olympians and the Titans in a way. Kronos gets defeated by Zeus and is locked in the tartaros. Then the Temple gets Destroyed, Arkantos gets helped by Athena and flees. But poseidons Trident falls and nearly Hits him. That was on purpose. He wanted Arkantos to die. The Main campaign in this Game was called "The Fall of the Trident" (at least thats the direct translation from German). It is all shown in the intro, but you only ever realize that after you beat the campaign.

I remember when I discovered this game in middle school, and I was reading Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus at the same time, man I was completely dying for ancient Greek mythology Crazy times!

I love all of the Age of Empires intros, but I think this is the best.
