It's hard to believe this video exist.. This was how my child self imagined the campaigns to be like. And to think you've surpassed that is incredible.

I haven't played Tale of the Dragon, but honestly I think it needs some shaping up. The story cinematics have so much potential!

I signed it (though I recall signing another one a while ago). Was it just a matter of money? I heard they took lots of shortcuts during development.
WOW those city shots are godamn amazing , makes me wish they had shots like that in the actual game haha
It's a bit tougher to do it in-game, what with lag and the visuals taking up so much space (unless the game map is loaded separately).
@@Anraheir did you have to use the biggest map size? and how distant were the background cities from the character? or did you make them smaller so you didn't need to put them that far? your video is simply amazing, thanks for sharing

That was fantastic! The scenes if bustling cities were especially cool! You really did an excellent job of capturing the air of each civilization.
When i used the editor i used to make a very unrealisticly symitrical cities it was almost creepy the level of symmetry

AOM may not be the most remarkable RTS game of his time, but it has such a beautiful atmosphere and aesthetics. Also, this cinematic is a perfect example of what you could do with the editor if you were skilled and patient enough.

This is amazing. It Captures the feel of the origin AOM campaign by following all those amazing locales and graphics, and those cheesy but effective special effects... nostalgia man, its helluva drug!

Wow, another incredible cinematic! Just came from the second video. So cool and as many people have already said, excellent work. Again, really capturing the scale and feel of each civilization in an amazing way. Really like how you portrayed Atlantis, similar to how it is often portrayed as an aquatic island peninsula kind of thing surrounded by several rings. Keep up the great work!

This was really cool to watch! I've messed around in the cinematic editor before, and I know you can do some cool stuff with it, and this video is exactly the thing to show off just that! I really like the detail and work put into this; the only criticism is that it wasn't completely obvious to me that it was a Christmas tree he was looking for, but I'm not a Christian, and I'm also pretty unobservant, and I don't think AOM has any specially-decorated trees like that... all in all, though, super great work! was fun to watch

amazeing cinematic..... one thing that esspecialy appealed to myself was how you hade the bustleing human shaped city scenery's......cut in by the 'untouched' wast wilderness of desserts..forests..mountens etc..where the titan progenitors of both men and gods walked ^^
This is the most incredible AOM cinematic that I have ever seen, and that includes the original ones that are a part of the game. And you did it without a single word, it's mind-blowing. You should be a dev for this game. You've really made it look like the world of AOM is lived in.

Well, this isn't a campaign, it's one of the best things I've ever watched
While the graphics are outdated for today, I've always wanted to make a legit 90 minute movie with the AoM editor, with legit voice acting and all.
Yeah, I too have been flirting with that idea for a few years now. No doubt it'd be doable, but it would take much work. Despite the outdated graphics, the AOM editor can deliver some spectacular scenery (with persistence and attention to detail, of course).

I'm making a campaign too, though I don't believe the cinematic will be as good as this, man, your effort levels must've been hell high
Just one scene at a time. Move on after you get the basics down, then return to fill in details.
Dude... how the hell did you do this? Like, I have no idea, this is amazing! How much work it must've taken to do this, how good your PC needed to be to run all this so smoothly, you are a real God of Age of Mythology, you know that? A true magician!
I loved the funny bits mixed in between the actions, but I mostly loved the little easter eggs you placed. Horus walking on the desert, Gaia patrolling the forests near Zeus' temple, Ymir passing behind the mountain and the dwarves' village, those were so neat! And of course, the funny chase sequences. Lol!
The ammount of effort and serious dedication, mixed with a little humour. Absolutely breath taking scenarios mixed with absurdly huge quantity of things happening. Seriously, how did you do those parts on the Egyptian cities? Those were just *CROWDED* 'till no end! You're a true artist! I am so glad I was fortunate enough to stumble on this!
Hey thanks man. I really appreciate you appreciating this cinematic and all its little pieces (sometimes I think I'm the only one enjoying the little details - guess I'm wrong). As for how I did it, it just took a lot of time (about a year of sporadic work). I came up with the story idea in 2011, but didn't get around doing it till last year. Some scenes I had ingrained in my mind since a long time ago, others were last minute ideas that popped up while implementing the project. For the cities, I wanted to give an atmosphere of crowds and people, so I knew I needed to place down a lot of units. With much triggering and testing I got what I wanted. It's very doable - you just need an interesting story line and lots of sporadic work.
This was actually really beautiful, very well done man
