2021 Tacoma my first truck ever. I never considered a truck until I drove a friend Chevy Colorado. Trucks built today ride as smooth as a car, plus they just look bad ass.
I own a 19 Ranger. And when you look at the specs and compare them to even a early 90s half ton, the modern midsize trucks will normally have more payload and towing capacity than the older ones. My Ranger has a GVWR of 6100 lbs with a GCWR of 12500.
Had a ford freaken ranger years ago and loved its size for offroading and most truck things, after owning 4 1/2 ton trucks im looking to go back to a midsize preferably a 1st gen crew cab tundra
I work in Downtown LA twice a week. It can sometimes be a bitch to park in some parking lots and spots in 2011 super crew F-150 and I wanna move up to a crew long f 350 next 😅
The best move is having whatever truck you want and also having a little beater car for running around town when you don't need the truck. Save gas and keep the miles off your truck. I have a 2020 ram 1500 and a 97 honda accord that i got for $400. The insurance is only $40/mo and gets over 30 mpg. It's great for random errands around town. i don't take it on the highway though lol.
I had a Ford ranger in the late 80s, I lifted it, bigger wheels and tires. I had a killer sound system 12 Ev 12s in the bed a ton of amps. You could hear me coming 10 blocks away. That was my first truck, damn I miss that truck.
I know you guys at custom offsets are about 4x4 trucks, but I always preferred mid-size trucks myself over a full-size I’ve had 1 full-size F150 and it can be hard to fit in parking spots and on the side of the street if you don’t have a place with a driveway!! But a mid-size and “mini truck” can just fit perfectly in most cases. I always also preferred a 2WD version over 4x4 because of where I live we don’t get a ton of snow, some years we’d be lucky to get over 15” in a season. But I always loved slammed bagged mid-size & mini-trucks over lifted. Now don’t get me wrong I like some lifted trucks but to an extent
If I'm gonna go for a mid sized truck. I'll probably pick a older Chevy Colorado. Not the new ones. The older ones. Crew cab short bed. Those things are fun when you throw a decent suspension underneath them and go to the desert. (Saying this because I've driven one exactly like that)
All my trucks have been midsize trucks, and I love them. Had 2 rangers, 2 S10s, and now a 2019 Canyon. Absolutely perfect for what I need, and capable of towing 7000, which is more than I'll ever tow
My daughter owns a Nissan frontier she’s primed to get wheels and a lift kit for it. We will be looking for a kit soon. Unfortunately we’re in a rural area and only have PO Box address so you guys can’t help. I hope soon you’ll be able to help us out.
22 frontier . My first truck and i love it, Only thing i haul is my motorcycle and I’m Getting 20 mpg. Only thing I wish I had from full-size is a V8 lol
Ok loved the video but I have one request. Y’all gotta make a video about dodge Dakotas I haven’t seen y’all do one the Dakotas need some love too. I have a 00 Dakota with the 4.7 v8
I know those Mazda Bseries are rare but I got a super clean red one on some 33s and 5inch lift and I love it, after regearing I only get 12 mpg but its unique and different from rangers
05 gmc canyon, 20x12 hardrocks 33x12.5 trail grapps 5 inch lift. Love it, it's perfect me and my dad repainted it, swapped the motor, and some rust repair, I think it looks great
I have a 21 Tacoma now and it's nice. I average 24-25 mpg daily driving, I have hauled over 1200 pounds in the bed, it fits down the ATV trails at my hunting land that a fullsize would get stuck between trees, and the aftermarket support is phenomenal
How has no one mentioned the first gen Tacoma?! I’ve got a 2000 2.4l and it’s a badass. Easy daily, no trouble parking in the city, and nimble in the mountains
08 Nissan Frontier. 4x4, 4-door, roof rack, utility track, and bed extender. Do I wish I had the space and power of a full size? Yeah. Do I enjoy having a super versatile truck that has allowed me to to haul more stuff than a full size crew cab? Yeah.
I have a 97 ranger 4.0L 4x4 and it's a tank. My dad bought it in 99 after he got out of the army and he beat the absolute piss out of it and so did I when I was in high school. One time it sat for three and a half years without anyone starting it. We put a new battery in, jumped the starter relay, and it still purred like a kitten.
The Taco is beyond amazing, plus holds its value like crazy. With all these shortages, I had someone offer me 65k for my taco, when I got it for less than 40k
I’m sad they forgot the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen Toyota pickups that were the predecessor to the Tacoma 😢 They were way more capable than any of those other 80s mini trucks, especially the 1st and early 2nd gens that had solid front axles
If mid size trucks were cheaper than there’s be an incentive but I don’t see a point in paying the same and sometimes more than most full size trucks for a smaller one. I get supply and demand makes things go up but logically, less material shouldn’t cost more....kinda lame.
I’ve owned a 2018 LT Colorado and a 2019 Diesel ZR2, now I’m in a Half Ton I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Mid Size Trucks 🛻 not saying anything is wrong with it, It just doesn’t suits me anymore. Great Video BTW! 👍🏿
I own a 19 ranger fx4 and drive it everywhere. I live in the middle of nowhere and it has done just about everything from getting groceries to rescuing my side by side. My 2021 super duty black ops hasn’t seen mud or snow yet but will pretty soon.
I like the tacoma, but for the same gas mileage i can get a full size that tows more and more room inside. And i live in south so parking not really a problem
I just got a 21 ford ranger FX4 and let me tell you I like it a lot and even tho the numbers aren’t high you can definitely get up to speed quick and pick up speed also but idk if I should lift it if I do I’m think about a 2in leveling kit or go with a 3in and get some rims and tires
4 door, short box S10's are out there if you look hard enough you can find them as long as they are not completely rusted out. Nice trucks if you have a small family and still able to haul some stuff in em. 👍🍻
Had a 2019 ford ranger traded it in a couple months back for 21 ram 1/2 ton because I needed to haul a trailer around but personally I would have a full size truck and I loved my ranger it was a 2x4 I put some toyo open country at3s on it and had a blast every weekend out in the mountains never did get stuck in it and I live in Montana and that’s impressive for a 2x4 especially when it was 20 below with 4 feet of snow the only downfall was the towing capacity but I’m definitely gonna get one in the future just for the mountains
I want to have a Maverick for the daily commute with the 2 inch lift and 31” tires, but then also have my half ton for the weekends. I’d love to get the new Lightning, and take it out to Custom Offsets to see what shenanigans we can do with it!
Loved my S10's, my Ranger and B2000. I own a 1/2 ton currently and the new Santa Cruz. Would kill to have a clean square body S10, but the wife would kill me in my sleep.
@@emmanuelalva6597 there's no real comparison to the old trucks (s10 and ranger) they were basic vehicles. I will say i like our ram 1500 eco diesel better for truck purposes. The Cruz is more car like, i haven't towed with it yet. It's great for getting around in and hauls everything I've needed to so far. I would say the mpg could be better (27 ish on highway), but it does get down the road pretty nicely and is no slouch for power. We have ghe turbo AWD version.
@@dsw_kat2693 i have a 96 suburban and a 07 ridgeline . I find my self driving the ridgeline much more, the car like feel is just easier to daily drive. Not sure how the awd system is on the Santa Cruz but the awd on the ride line definitely does much better in snow then the 4x4 on my suburban
Why, why, why did you not at least mention the Dakota? The beginning of the modern day midsized pickup. The S10 and Nissan Hardbody are mini trucks right? ok. Thanks and have a great day.
I liked s10s when I was a child. Now I have work, kids and fast shit to do so I need at least a full size ccsb. Also how in the fuck you gonna leave out the shitbaru baja.
I would get a midsize but with some of the work i do on the side my a half ton or 3/4 ton truck is better suited. more bed space, more room in the interior and cxan tow more then a midsize can. granted my current silverado cant tow as much as som of the new mid size but i have buddies with trailers that we use for the weekend work that when loaded can be towards the 10000lb weight range. I like the how easy fitting into spaces is width wise for the small ones and finding parting but overall the length isnt to much different. for i would want a crew cab and at least a 6.5 ft bed. my current is an extended cab and 6.5ft bed and more cab space would be nice but i can tafford something new. I just dont like the stupid 4 spped auto in my truck with the 4.8 v8. if the 5.3 was in it would be more fuel effient and could tow a bit more. future purchases.
Tacoma !!!!!
I live in Chicago and have a crew cab 7.3 that I daily, go bih or go home

There ain't no stranger to the ranger danger.

2006 gmc canyon 4 door love it but not alot of aftermarket lift kits for them

Toyota Hilux Gang 💪🏽🔥🔥

I wouldn’t mind checking out a Tacoma. Ive been wanting to build a truck for hunting, fishing etc and camping
