  • Last year I hardly sold any firewood bundles, but this year is completely different because of one change I made in how I sell bundles. Bulk bundle sales has completely changed my perspective of how people buy firewood bundles and the 12-pack bundle sales has become my most popular sale.

Hello Phil, I keep saying to myself I need to get in the firewood business. I also like watching Brad, he’s a good guy too. Take care and hope you have a blessed day and week ahead my friend.

It is crazy what people buy for convenience. It is also interesting seeing how prices differ in different parts of the country. People around here would run you out of town with those prices. Take care Phil.

Awesome Phil! Hard to believe, I know, that folks buy bundles like that. I think a lot of my folks are moving them again (camping, splitting with family, etc) and like the convenience of the wrapped bundles. Thanks for the shout out!

Great job, Phil! Looks like you need a little more ballast on the feet of your bundle/wrap stand. It gets a little wobbly. But very impressive that you gave the bundle wood a try and it's such a success!

Sounds like a good way of selling bundled firewood, I’m with you, didn’t seem to make sense, but it works. That bundle machine sounds like a great idea, less wear and tear on the body is always a good idea. Enjoy your videos, keep up the great work

Nice job on the bundler. One thing I do when I'm making bundles is try to keep a few slim pieces off to the side to finish a bundle off. I'm hoping my bundel sales will take off. I may live in too rural of an area for people to pick up bundels but there is a commnity of 500 or so homes a few miles away. I'd think those people would come buy and get some.

I'd flyer that neighborhood with some bundle options and put on there you deliver one day a week and orders need to be placed by x day to be included in the weekly delivery. I haven't flyered anywhere yet because I sell out but it's on list of to-dos whenever I feel like I need it

@@FlatCreekOutdoors Unfortunately it is a gated community so I can't get in to flyer it. I'd be happy if I could sell 2 of my 10 bundle deals a week. That would be $5,200 a year from 6 cords. I need to talk to the gas station up the road now that things are settling down some for me.

I sell an unimaginable amount of bundles now that it’s established and everyone knows it’s there off my roadside stand. I deliver to a customer that gets 40 bundles a month just because they are more Convenient to handle. She throws them in the garage and grabs them to take inside. Super simple. People will pay more for things that make their lives easier. Trust me when I say a bundler is welllllll worth the money especially if you have someone helping you it only takes about 30-45 seconds to make a bundle on my twister firewood wrapper. We did 300 bundles in about 8 hours.

On the internet says that black locust has like $21 two like 50 bucks a bundle I was thinking about selling would but I know that locus Burns really hot and doesn't smoke March and it doesn't start will but you have to start with something else but I wanted to sell it on the side of road just something extra to do I like the smell of wooden like fires and I like burn it in the wood stove I had a ton of locusts that I bought for like two hundred bucks 6 quarts which is a lot of a lot of wood for that but then I had to cut it all up and split it it burns higher than oak I see some people around where I live twenty-two $15 to$8 to taka$10 I was thinking about doing that but then locusts like where I am you don't see it too much so I was thinking I should raise it more than 20 but I wasn't sure I was wondering since you're experienced worker what do you think 🤔

Great video and info Phil. I sell 50% bundles and 50% what I call a loose stack $20 for the small and $40 for the large. I always have people ask if I will sell a cord but I have come up with a response. I am the 20oz guy not the 2L guy. You can buy a 2L of coke for $1.50 but the convenience of a cold easy to handle 20oz for $2 is what people grab. Every piece of wood is just as much work so why give it away at any cheaper than you have to. I am pretty much going to a full on bundle specialist for next fall. Just a FYI I bought a Twister bundler in December with a few speed trays and it is a game changer on the speed. Just so you know it was $3000 delivered and the Brute Force you see as well I also had a quote for $3100 delivered. Easily will pay for itself in a month or so. Keep up the great videos!

I just bought a gross of "big" bags to make bundles with the intention of "bulk bundle sales", I was thinking 10 bags for $100 delivered.
Last year I sold all my wood delivered and stacked only, and sold all 7 cord I had in 6 weeks in the fall.

best example I can think of.
    Say chicken is 8.99 a lb in a minute-mart.
And 4.99 a lb in the back corner of a grocery store.
    Which is more convenient??
that's why people like the wood bundled.

I am also quite surprised that someone would buy the bundles in bulk. I sell a face cord of pine for campfire wood for $50 and those seem to go well. I want to start selling bundles this year as well. Around here campfire wood goes for about $1 per stick on average. Thats $220 per face cord.

    • @FlatCreekOutdoors
      @FlatCreekOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

50 for the face cord is a great deal for whoever buys it. No way I'd be able to justify that much work for $50.
