FUCK THE WORLD and PISSF****T were some of my favorite surprise characters to come across. I managed to steal their jackets. It was so funny and unexpected to see Kim enjoy terrorizing those kids 🤣
I'm usually a save scum type of player that will reload if I don't get an outcome I like, but in this game I savor the chaos. Like flying into that poor lady was too funny I just let it roll. I give people weird answers and just let myself seem nuts. I've only played a few hours so far and it's amazing. I have no idea what's even going on but I'm actually having fun.

First playthrough I did max empathy, got the ending where Harrier quits. Doing a max perception run now, even if I keep dipping skill points into unlocking more thought cabinet slots...
@@muse5722 When she blows her brains out you have the option to quit. The game tries steering you away from it a little, but you can persist and get a game over, which can be an anticlimactic end but a fitting one.
@@ShadowmarkReturns l felt so bad about Ruby that l soft-reset 3 times going for rerolls... Just for half of the Hardie Boys to die in the tribunal. I made sure not to save-scum again then, or l would've ruined the game for myself. Maybe that would've been an interesting ending
Just got my first ending in the game and Cuno ended up being shockingly endearing in the end, I mean. He’s still an asshole, but I actually kinda liked him. Enough to even make him my Junior detective
I love Cuno. He's a glaring reminder that fucked up kids are this way because they're going through some shit. Reminds me to be patient with people even when they get on my nerves.
I just played through this game for the first time and I went in not knowing how fucking hilarious some of the dialogue options would be and intending to do a mostly serious playthrough, but then sometimes a dialogue option would be too funny for me not to pick it. How Kim put up with my shit, I don't know.
@@TheGlowingKebab I just like reading the internal stuff myself. I played DE before The Final Cut and I never imagined the skills sounding like a rough, gravelly man speaking slowly. I also feel like the narrator often doesn't grasp the cadence that the line is supposed to be read in, whether intentionally or not. This is a case where he does though and it's great

A bit late to your comment, but if you're still wondering! You need to have the horrific necktie speaking to you (high Inland Empire). When you speak to the Tequila Sunset's drinking buddies on the island the dialogue with the necktie should be triggered (idk if it requires any passive checks), the necktie tells you that you definitely should buy a blue medicinal spirit from one of the drunks and insists that you'll need it later. After the confrontation with Ruby the necktie advises you to open this bottle and if you agree, instructs you on further stuff (you should be wearing the necktie at that moment). Also you need to equip one of your hands with the Molotov before going to the tribunal but I don't remember if any voices tell you to do so.

Voice acting for that character was beautiful. Steals the show for me every time. Everyone else is a little stilted in comparison.

Having played this game MANY times, I can safely say that most of this is even WORSE in context.
"Your body betrays your degeneracy". The game provided just as much context for that line as the video did. Makes me laugh my ass off every time.
Joyce did mention a "racist Behemoth" guarding the gate before I went to see him.
