Lets accept the fact that the A350-1000 has a beautiful design compared to B777-300ER, but the B777-300ER is one of the safest with 10 doors, and the top selling twin engine aircraft in the world and still counting with the new B777X.
I'd go with the A350. The 777 has more weight capacity, total thrust, and thrust per weight compared to the A350, but the A350 has better wings, which allows shorter takeoff distances and easier ascend to higher altitudes during cruise. It translates to excellent fuel savings (less wind/air resistance the higher you go).
Also, if you look at the section profile of the A350 and 777, it looks like Airbus is able to use the interior space more effectively, resulting in a smaller cross section. The row of windows runs through the center of the fuselage on the 777, while it runs higher than center on the A350. As a result, the 777 has more unused space above the passenger cabin than the A350. Boeing will be using the same fuselage cross section for the 777x. They are only thinning the walls to allow a more comfortable 3-4-3 seating.
I'll go with the B777-300ER. I love those GE90-115b engines! So powerful. But, the A350 is also very great and comfortable.

well Boeing's 777 is a huge success story but now it looks a bit dated compared to the more modern Airbus A350.
A350 has more beautiful wings, specially those sexy sharklets, and it has more sleek and sound body work. It also has a pretty face. Having said that, 777 is an iconic plane and the next generation 777x will surely maintain that presence. It will be interesting to see a further stretch of A350 to compete with 777x.

The a350 competes in cost per capita rather than direct size with the 777x. Why do you think the 777x is stretched? To reduce cost per passenger even more since the a350 is lighter and has greater range where new wings and more efficient engines on the 777x isn’t going to cut it against a cleansheet like the a350.
I mean, that both planes are amazing. 350 is more elegant, but 777 is like animal, like shark.

Basem Benyamin get some help how many years has the a350 been in service and the triple 7 is in service for about 30 years and it has less than 10 major accidents search it up before you say anything
It accidents are mostly pilot error but there is one 777 which crash due to design which was BA38
The 777 has had only had about 5 major accidents since 1994 the a340 has only had 1 crash and its been in service since 1993
Croosin GD and all passengers and crew survived
I've flown on both, they're both excellent aircraft.

4750m for a 777-300ER to take off??? That shows you the bias and inaccuracy of this video, so all other info should be taken with the same skepticism. Dubai's runway is 4000m long and the 777 takes off there every day in summer (40+C) enroute to North America and Australia (14-17 hour flights). That's the longest possible runway it needs. It takes off out of Newcastle (2100m) every day.
Yes I agree the 350 is prettier, but it should be, its a 30 year newer design. Let's see if they've made 1500 of them 30 years from now, shall we?
Ah, you can pretty much guarantee that they will make 1500 as a minimum. The A350 is a beautifully engineered and thought out aircraft, and well ahead in quality control and operating efficiencies... It is a game changer, far more that the hyped up "dreamliner", which is a cramped up marketing syndrome, with still unresolved battery issues which are now just boxed up. Never declared why they were catching fire or a solution, just encased now in heavy weight added external solution...Now 737 Max while we talk about philosophy of quality, oh Boeing quality control to the fore.... Sorry, Boeing has put profit before aeronautical engineering since moving head office from Seattle. The bean counters in Chicago will be responsible for it's downfall, unless the focus returns to quality, not short term shareholder price. Yeah, way more than 1500 A 350's coming your way Jack, for sure.
My brother a350 it's a state of the art of aeronautic engineering with safety first. 777-300er is one of my favorite plane which I have been travelling in. But Boeing has started placing safety as an option on its plane. I will still prefer to fly 777-300 rather than the upcoming 9x. The 350-1000 is a more balanced aircraft flying more safely and economically

The price of the A350-1000 is 359 millions according to the Airbus website, the price of the 777-300ER is 320 millions.
The 777 killed off the 340 design and airbus had to counter with the 1000.777x will be bigger and have many upgrades including a larger high lift low drag wing.Emirates ordered how many hundred 777x's so Boeing is still leading in the super twin engine range.A-350 should do well though.

Skylax, wrong, the 777x lineup has over 300 orders already and they have only just started building the prototype 777-9x this year, all up orders are as stands the A350 family, 852 ordered with 142 delivered, 777 family, 1,962 ordered with 1,534 delivered, the 777 family wins that argument also.
A340 is not efficient due to 4 engines and a single deck aircraft. Past aircraft like 707 and DC 8 were successful with 4 engines because they started the dawn of the jet age.

i don't believe the claimed runway takeoff lengths. they are too long. i think the 777 is more in the order of some 3600m
The figures you quote for the A350-1000 are for the A350-900. The -1000 has a typical pax of 366 to a max of 440. It's range is 15,557 km. which is less range than the -900 variant.
The recent MTOW increase means A350K now has more range than the -900 variant that it was stretched from

I prefer the Boeing concept and for sure their conventional yoke.
One thing not pointed out in the video is which plane will still be flying in 20 years. The Airbus product has a short life therefore it will be scrapped long before the Boeing is.
I've always been partial towards the 777.
Stop confusing a 350-1000 with BOEING 777-300ER, a350-1000 competitor to 787-1000 and that it, and when people ask well who is better? My answer to that who is better BMW or Mercedes? And speaking about 777 family, airbus failed to that with a340-500 and a340-600, airbus much better on a320 family then Boeing 737-800 and 737-900er or Max. And that’s how this market work as is right now
@ 2:01 the writing on the bottom of screen says A350 WXB 1000. Its supposed to say XWB. It means XTRA WIDE BODY. even though boeing has been in the game longer than airbus, airbus still has better product. theyre much quieter and more fuel efficient. @ 2:51 thats a lot of birds hanging around the airport. the a340 took 100 tonnes of fuel from germany to los angeles. the a350 only consumes 77 tonnes. thats 23 tonnes of fuel savings for the same payload

When it comes to the A350-1000 there is nothing to argue about. Pls do not try to compare because the 777 is much older technology ...
The 777X will share almost nothing with the earlier 777's, the body will be 10% wider, the wings are completely different, new engines for better economy, both 8x and 9x will be longer airframes than the 200 and 300er's and both will gave a lot more endurance than the earlier aircraft they will replace.

@RashadLynes nrrr not really mate 777x is already in trouble, Lufthansa is rethinking their order as it might keep their 747-8 which were gonna be replaced by 777x. cathay too as its downsizing, emirates too as its cutting routes, qatar is blocked by neighbours and isn't flying as many routes singapore is in loss for the first time in years and might go for more a350s and some 787s instead of 777x. So it's not looking good still two years to go for its first delivery so anything can change

Except the Bombrdier CSeries, they aren't in the size class, but their fuel burn per passenger mile is in the same class and better than anything else of their size. Technology moves on and these are the class leaders. Bombardier and the A350 take the 787 sales pitch of operating smaller aircraft from smaller airports to the next stage. These three make smaller airports possible for intercontinental travel. Bombardier recently operated a representative test aircraft out of London City Airport, usually only available to regional jets and turboprops, and flew to JFK with no stop. Nothing as big or bigger can do that, BA does it with an A318 or A319, but they can't get off with the upwind transatlantic fuel load, so they have to stop for fuel in Ireland. 787 and A350 will be able to make the South Pole routes from NZ to South Africa or Perth, Australia to Argentina.
