- The longest-fuselage member of Airbus’ A350 XWB jetliner family - the A350-1000 - has received its airworthiness type certification, with the milestone first delivery planned before year-end to Qatar Airways. Personally, I think the extra length and six-bogie landing gear makes the A350 look a lot better.

@@Femto1990 the 340 was a really unlucky aircraft that due to the circumstances has never been revolutionary or worth for any company. Even in the technic was nothing to be highlighted, therefore i was wondering about his choice
Was on my first A350-900 flight few days ago...this aircraft surpasses all competition...it is simply perfect.
The A350 is a game changer for sure and it definitely looks better than the 787 dreamliner in my opinion

Care to share which other planes have the 6 wheels landing gear setup and having that angle? This is more for my info.
The Tu-154 has 12 wheeled main landing gear that angles forward rather than backwards, regardless my comment was aimed at the number os wheels on the main gear, not the angle at which the gear sits, the 777 technically copied the 12 wheel arrangement from the Tu-154.

B767 was Boeing's copy cat
Starglance The 767 is a lot narrower than A300 with the 777's big pointy nose. That's why it can only take LD2 contains instead of LD3 which is what every plane takes on cargo flights.

Ankit Agarwal Emirates said they’d buy 100 if they’d make a Neo variant, Airbus doesn’t want to so it’s not looking too good. Extra seats and a bit better fuel efficiency won’t drive airlines to flock to it.

Ankit Agarwal well, Boeing saw there was no viable road for 4 engine aircraft in the passenger market and just focused on the freighter versions of the -8. Airbus could have a winner if they made an A380 freighter.
Still blows my mind how these machines are build and assembled like a Lego toy and then take to the skies with no effort whatsoever amazing !

LMAO 1:48 They used an A380 to test A350 Trent XWB engines? Why not put the Trent XWB on all 4 engine pylons on the A380plus and call it an A380neo? Emirates would have bought 100 A380neo's at Farnbrough Air show Next year
JundaComputersGmbH they sure did just like how GE tested the GE90s on 747s, engines designed only for the 777. You cannot slap 4 trent XWBs on an a380 and call it more economical which is what emirates wants from a neo cus the trent XWB is a special breed of animal designed for a twin engine ultra long range widebody like the 350. Having 84k to 97k pounds of thrust per engine on a 380 is nonsense.
You would be a crappy engineer.
JundaComputersGmbH each Trent XWB has around 97,000 pounds of thrust. Current A380 engines have 70,000. The pylons need to be redesigned to accommodate the heavier, bigger, more powerful engines, most likely leading to the need to strengthen the wing then the wing struts. That would make for a complete redesign pretty much.
Did you forget that the Trent XWB84 for the A350-900 has the same rating as the Trent 900 higher thrust variant?? The only difference is that each xwb84 is a tonne heavier than the trent 900. The trent 7000 for the 330neo is also a tonne heavier than the trent 700 but somehow they get better efficiency. So maybe Airbus should say why it can't be done?? Also if Airbus decided to stretch the A380 then maybe the XWB97 is the right piece of kit? But as we all know...that wont happen!
Man, Trent XWBs are designed to carry A350s with two engines, having 4 of them on the A380 would be a waste
