This is a very popular questions I receive. Which one should I get? That will very so much on what you want to do as they have different qualities even though they do overlap a lot. I can't tell you which to get but I can tell you what I have learned as a beginner with no prior experience with either. Also there are a lot more things to consider such as dust collection and smoke evacuation. But when I made this video it was like me talking for 30 minutes, lol. So had to cut it down to the basics. I hope this video helps and if you have any questions, just let me know. I am not an expert but will try my best to give you the best information I have. Thank you for your support!
Love your no-nonsense discussion. I’m ready to jump into the whole CNC universe and my son wants me to add a laser to cut balsa wood for his RC airplane hobby. Which jtec laser would you recommend to add to my onefinity CNC?
Hi, thank you very much! Interesting question. Balsa wood is great for laser cutting and usually don't need so much of a powerful laser to cut it, depending. So you wouldn't need generally a more expensive laser from jtec to cut it. They have a couple of different wattage versions on the onefinity website. I believe a 7 watt and 14 watt for engraving mostly. But then a 24 watt, 44 watt for cutting wood and engraving. But I am super excited and have been really thinking of getting their newest option. The 64 watt laser just released which can switch between 24, 44 and then the 64 watt depending on material and wether engraving or cutting. It makes a difference. Bigger laser vs thinner laser in cutting and engraving. I never thought I would get one attached for my cnc but. I am really thinking about it. The 64 watt can cut through 3/4 inch thick pine in two passes, But if you are just interested in cutting the thinner balsa wood, then the 24 watt would work great. Hope that helps some and check out onefinity website as they do a great job explaining the capabilities for each laser options. Thanks for watching and commenting!
That is a tough question. For smaller 4ft x 4ft CNC I definitely love ONEFINITY CNC. I have had great results and I am still a beginner, lol. But if I were going to get a bigger CNC for 6ft backdrops. I would most likely look at Phantom CNC's. But they do have hobby CNC's such as BOBs CNC and Maker Made machines but those are lower quality than phantom and priced accordingly. I have never used either. I hope that helps and good luck!

Nice explanation. No pointless intro, straight to the point. Thanks!
Thanks! I’m excited to see what it can do in the shop
Your welcome!

Hi which CNC brand do you recommend for beginners, to be able to cut marquee and 6ft backdrop designs
