Yes, let's see some Alaskan adventures fishing and foraging.
Thanks for the feedback David! I plan on it now, Thanks for watching!
Yes, do a video for Alaska
Thanks for the feedback! And thanks for watching!
We would love to see a video of Alaska. I would say do one. We live locally so your videos of local camping spots are so helpful. Driving & Camping in Alaska is on our Bucket list. It will be great to get your perspective on Alaska.
Thanks for the feedback! I plan on doing a video out there now. I have done a few in the past when I visit and when we were living out there (Playlist here if your interested for some of our favorite spots in AK: th-cam.com/play/PLULLdZboZ_pZ4ZaW-AdOM3wTL22c3ukCG.html )
Glad to hear you enjoy the local content, we love camping around here. Thanks for watching Heather!
15:47 to “adheez these” i think most people would say to stick these on but i like how you invented a new word
Lol i didnt even realize, thanks for watching! 🤙🏽
Love the longer video! Feels like I'm just hanging out with a buddy camping
Thank you for the feedback!! Thats exactly the vibe I love having on these videos, cheers!
It does for sure great vibe!!
I can't recommend enough for a future project to build an air deflector for the front of the GFC. Stock, the leading edge of the over-cab portion of the GFC makes for bad aerodynamics. I was able to raise my mpg by two at times and the deflector I built mercifully ended the thrumping/shuddering sound and vibration cause by the stock GFC leading edge at highway speeds. Also, I was thinking of making rear hatch handles like you installed, but felt the outside handle would provide a jerk-open point for any miscreants wanting to break in. Stock the rear hatch is sometimes a problem to open, but the trade off is that locked the hatch is harder for banditos to open! I really like those towel hangers you installed. Good idea. Thanks, Kaden.
I'd love to add an air deflector to the GFC setup! If there was one I could buy off shelf i'd go for it but currently my DIY capabilities are pretty limited, I dont have tools (or the time) to work on a lot of side projects. The grab handles have been great, definitely a good point though for those outside handles but i'm really hoping I just dont run into any banditos to break in lol Thanks for watching!!
I hear you on the handles. My handles weren’t really designed for just every day opening, although they work well for that. They were designed for use in colder climates that see snow and ice. The corner latches offer almost zero purchase to be able to open an even mildly stuck hatch.
I suppose those could be used to try and pull the panel open, but they’d have to brake the metal locking tabs first, and I’m positive the VHB would let go before that happens.
Awesome videos!!! Definitely like the local vibe for sure and you testing all the goodies for your truck!! Keep up the awesome videos!!
Appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching Chris!
Love the reggae background music!
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for watching Clinton!
I love the level of detail you put on most things. ❤
Thank you!! Appreciate that
Gonna be making good use of that Boxio toilet after that meal hahaha
😂😂 ain’t that the truth lol thanks for watching!!
That is a nice set up sink and toilet going to really look into that that sandwich looked fire
Thank you! They've been a great addition to the setup! Thanks for watching!
While I was at OverlandExpo West, one of my neighbors I was camping next to gave me a suggestion on how to make the fire out of the ignite fire can come out higher. If you get a 1/16 inch drillbit and drill the little hole that’s inside the connector to the fire pit, you will get higher flames because you are allowing more propane to flow through. And dude, you are killing me with forgetting everything. Lol.
As I was driving home from Flagstaff through Vegas on Monday/Tuesday, I thought about hitting you up and hooking up real quick. Us Filipinos need to stick together lol
Thats awesome! And makes sense though, giving the connector a few more holes would definitely increase the fire output! yeah man hit me up on IG sometime, Salamat!
Nice recovery from leaving the skottle legs behind! Lol
haha thank you! Sometimes you gotta pivot :) Thanks for watching!
Love the new stickers. You need to put that on a shirt.
I just might do that! Thanks for the feedback, Cheers!
Love the dual use hooks
Yeah i'm stoked to use these, good utilization on the panels. Thanks for watching Jonathan!
I am hearing that the newest and coolest Overlander option is Dual Snorkels... The word is that this groovy trend began in Belgaria
Dual Snorkels?? lol i've only ever seen one on rigs so thats interesting! I'd totally add one to my rig though lol
Jb weld one off the hooks on readylight. It might fix it.
Good idea! I got some JB weld in the garage but I dont think I have the hook part that broke.. but I may be able to drill a small hole through it to give it somekind of hook capability to hang it places, thanks for the recommendation and thanks for watching!
I am in Alaska, and I watched all of your videos when you were still here. Please make vids while you're here, we'd love to see them. I'll be hitting the Copper and Kasilof at the same time you'll be up, "FISH ON"!!!
Thats awesome thank you! And I will this summer, I'll be bumming it around Soldotna and hitting the Kenai, maybe kasilof if some of our friends end up down there? but we'll see. Have a good time out there! Fish ON!
Awesome! If I see you, I will definitely stop and say hi😎👍 Have a safe trip man!
Red Horse!!! You will get the kick with one can!!!🍻🍻🍻cheers
Yea that was my one and only beer that night lol! Thanks for watching!
@@Kadenventures Masarap na sipa! That’s why Red Horse is popular in the Philippines bcz you can get more buzz with every bottle.
Great video, you film as if we are along with you and knock it out of the park. Really enjoyed the laidback style 🔥
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback, thats exactly the vibe i'm aiming for in these videos so really glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
I love Alaska . Pls vlog when you go
I plan on it now! :) Thanks for watching!
Another good video. You are growing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watchin Peter!
Thanks for the longer watch! Really enjoyed it. Definitely going to check out Lovell Camping we always forget how close it is.
Glad you enjoyed it! You should definitely check it out sometime! One of our favorite places to camp near town. Thanks for watching!
DOPE STICKER!!!!!! I'll take a few if you still have some.
Message me on IG! I got a few left I can send out. Cheers!
Love your videos.. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Definitely would love a video in Alaska! Enjoy your time & relax but I know my husband and I will watch.
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback! I'm planning on filming a video while we are out there! Thanks!!
Hello Kaden… wife and I really enjoy channel and all local camping you do in Las Vegas area. Would love to get a couple of your new Kadenventures stickers… hope to see you on the trail
For sure! Message me on IG, i'm mailing some out this weekend, Thanks for watching!
Before San Miguel acquired Red Horse it used to be a malt liquor, not a line of beer. I bet the new "formula" is watered down compared to the OG stuff.
This stuff had a bit of a bite but im sure your right though lol we heard red horse get called the college party beer in the Philippines in a video we were watching recently lol!
Anchorage was awesome, we visited our son in Elmendorf Air Force whe he was stationed there. we call that mosquito coil Katol in PI and red horse gave me a headache everytime. Pls. do a alaska fishing video
Katol it is. Part of Philippine life.
My dad was stationed there as well and I was born on Elmendorf actually ! I'm going to start callin git Katol didnt know that phrase for it! luckily this red horse didnt give me a headache.. this time lol! Thanks for watching!
I got a similar pour over coffee cone at REI for $14.95. It seems a little bit sturdier than what you got at Daiso, but definitely not 10 x better! Lol. I use it all the time, especially for backpacking. Gets the coffee to you almost as fast as you can boil the water.
Nice!! $14 isnt bad though for a sturdier version of it, I liked the single pour over for when im out by myself made it so much easier/quicker to get a cup of coffee together! Thanks for watching!!
Yes, Alaska video!
Thanks for the feedback! I've added it to the video list for this summer :) Thanks for watching!
Chopped cheese look yummy buddy👍
Thanks man! i'll definitely be doing this again in the future
Love it ... except for how long the propane was running while you fiddled with the toilet/sink. (Guess I'm just cheap lol) Hope you schedule a Vegas meet up. 1 night truck camp thing. It would be cool to hang with all your followers on weekend - when it gets cooler. Keep it up!
Yea! I’d love to get something on the books, maybe in late fall when the temps cool off for an over nighter near town.
And lol yea I usually don’t let the propane run long like that (I’m cheap too) haha but it was close to be out and I wanted to get the tank replaced before our big CO road trip so I wanted to run it out. Thanks for watching!
👍🏾 for Alaska
Thanks for the feedback! I got on my list for this summer now! Thanks for watching Dray!
Seafood City gang...I see you man 😆
oh yea! closest Filipino store to our house lol! Thanks for watching!
I like those desert folk things, stickers? I’d probably buy a few if available
Thank you! Hit me up on IG, i'm shipping a few out this weekend! Thanks for watching James!
@@Kadenventures don’t have any social media man. Sorry
HA! My first camping trip around the LV area was Lovell Canyon back in 2008, it ended poorly 😅! Went on my first adventure ride with my new motorcycle to test out gear, I had to run home in the middle of the night, grab my truck and go back and get my gear, LOL, total disaster!
lol! Trips like that make it all the more memorable later down the line, what did you forget that you ende up leaving in the middle of the night?? A sleeping bag? haha
Storms, couldn't get my stove to work, sleeping bag not thick enough, sleeping pad was horrible, and didn't have enough light 😂😂. That's why I camped so close to home, it was a learning experience as I was just starting to figure out motorcycle camping. I'm much better at camping these days 😊.
I always chuckle when I hear someone say yee naaldlooshii (skin walker) 🤭 that was a great attempt though. I grew up on the rez, any time we walked to the outhouse at night if we heard a sound in the distance we automatically thought it was a skin walker 😆 love your videos and hope you make a video of your trip to Alaska. Stay safe out there 🤙🏽
Thank you I tried! haha Ever since I watched those Skin walkter videos any brush moving in the middle of the night I'm freaking myself out now lol! Great times though, glad you enjoy the videos and I will definitely be making a video out in AK, thanks for watching!
Make a video in Alaska! Visit Truck House Life.
I plan on it now! Thanks for the feedback, and I've seen him driving around town lol!
love your videos..
Thank you! Glad you enjoy the content, thanks for watching!
I enjoy watching your channels. I go to the Daiso/Seafood City/TJ. LOL
Yes!! haha we do that same combo with At Home thrown in there sometimes as well =p Thanks for watching!
We will bump into each other soon! 😁
We love your Alaska videos! What skin walker channel were you watching?
Thanks for the feedback!! The channel I was watching is Shanclen www.youtube.com/@ShanclenShadowProductions hes got great stories on there
We came across your videos about 3 months ago and decided we will follow you anywhere! Lol, you know what we mean... No stalkers, maybe skin walkers tho'! No, really, love your vids, definitely subscribed and look forward to hitting that like button every time! Be safe
Thanks so much! I appreciate the feedback and non stalker vibes =p lol! Really glad to hear you enjoy the content, thanks for watching Cathie!
im still traumatized by red horse because my uncle let me drink a sip when i was like 12 years old LOL. maybe if i drink it now, it'll be like water.
LOL! Damn i'd be traumatized by it too then, I think the first beer I had a sip of was Corona (Im was also like 12 or 10?) and I remember it being so nasty but today I'll drink a Corona anytime hahah Thanks for watching Chris!
Bro, if you can get your hands on San Mig Strong Ice, that’s the one. Tastes better imo and definitely has kick.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll keep my eye out! Maybe they will be in Seafood city sometime lol Thanks for watching Mark!
Oh man, don't mix up the toilet & sink. They look really similar. (Sorry, dad joke)
lol! I hope that never happens =p
"Slightly in German" LOL I use a 40f sleeping bag, but I have a liner for early spring and fall. Would definitely recommend! How many campsites do you estimate are out there? I was curious if I could find a spot if I went Friday night, or Saturday morning?
lol! its more like English words underneath German text and pictures lol I did just buy a sleeping bag liner and it definitely helped! There are a ton of campsites along this road especially as you go down further, we've camped as far down as close to the trailhead (which i cant remember the name) but as you go down this road is forks, private property to the right and left goes into more BLM area, down this road there are a bit more pull offs. My recommendation would be hit up Google Maps and check out Satellite view of the road so you can mark possible spots along the way, some smaller roads veer off and into open spaces like this one: 36°10'00.9"N 115°35'52.4"W so i think you'd be fine if you went Friday or Saturday morning
@@Kadenventures Perfect. Thanks very much for the info!!
nice video brother! heck, I always forget stuff, even with a list, I even forgot two main meals, the meats. your dinner looked amazing! i noticed that "aloha" sticker on your truck, are you from Hawaii?
Thank you!! and I'm not from there but the wife and I go at least once a year, we love Hawaii! Thanks for watching Dave!
I think I've camped in that area before, is it near the Late Night Trailhead?
Yes! Past the late night trailhead and over the hump to Pahrump (lol sometime told me that before essentially past Mountain Springs) and Lovell Canyon is on the right hand side off the highway
Nice spot ,can you fish there too?
Sadly no, there isnt really a body of water nearby but that would be awesome if there was! Thanks for watching!
How are you liking your toyos? I’m in the market for 35s and they have good reviews.
I've been using Toyo tires for probably 8 years now, I had the AT2s first, then got the AT3s and now these are the 2nd AT3s I've had (each set I've gotten at least 45k miles out of them) and i've been loving them! I've never (*knock on wood) have gotten a flat on these, relatively quiet tires and they look great on the truck. I was actually on the fence between these and some KO2s but after some research I decided to stick with what I've been using since they've been so tried and true. Hope that helps, thanks for watching John!
@@Kadenventures I’m looking at R/T trail Toyos and they seem legit.
I have a Frontier also , were did you get that flat liner for your tail gate ?
Mountain Hatch! One of the only (at least when I was researching these a few years back) flat tailgate vendors that had one available for the Nissan Frontier mountainhatch.org/products/mountain-hatch-for-2007-2022-nissan-frontier
@@Kadenventures Thank you , I ordered it .
Just made that sandwich, but added pepper jack with the American cheese . Awesomeness .
Just curious, before purchasing GFC camper does that rear door lock from inside.
Yes ! the locking mechanism comes standard actually, I just never used it before but now that I know how it works I use it a lot more now lol
Is your truck the Frontier?
Yes! 2012 Nissan Frontier
I found trash from some trashy people. - QOTD
lol! Right? Gotta take care of these public areas though otherwise they'll get closed down, thanks for watching!!
