- How to replace an output shaft seal at home!
It's an easy job to do by yourself even if you don't have a lot of tools, and can save you lots compared to taking it to a mechanic!
Basic Procedure:
- Jack up car
- Unbolt driveshaft from differential
- Pull out driveshaft
- Remove seal and replace
- Reinstall driveshaft
SR20DET Transmission output shaft seal part number - 32136-U010A

Crazy how I just realized I had this problem, thx dude.
You didn’t have to remove the transmission oil right? Because the car is level it won’t leak out?
Nothing will come out of a manual trans ! :)
No need to drain, a drop or two may fall out if you're unlucky
did you put it in dry? or do i have to put oil/ lubricant on it?
Generally it's best to rub motor oil around the outside and inside edges. I would.
What if I replace it and it's still leaking from this seal?
I've changed mine twice already lol
Either you're really unlucky or you need to check your driveshaft for any irregularities, i.e. length, balance or lack thereof, etc
What is the cause if it leaks from the front?
That’d be the input shaft seal probably
or ream main seal inside the transmisson n block
