Hey everyone! Hope you’re enjoying the series so far! If you have any video suggestions for the 240SX, let me know! I’ll be working on finishing up the suspension ASAP so we can get this thing back on the ground!
I love the attention to detail you put into this built with oem genuine parts, quality aftermarket parts and the cleaned/repainted parts. Can't wait to see more of this build
It is so refreshing seeing someone do a proper restoration of a 240. Not just another hot boi drift “build”. I’m new to the channel but will definitely be sticking around!! Great work.
First off, amazing build man, love every minute of it. Second, huge props to the fella that did the carrier install, that’s a true professional that doesn’t mind sharing his craft. Awesome video!!
Really enjoyed this video. The well-filmed step-by-step interspersed with your commentary (at times self-effacing and humorous) was a great technique. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next step with this car.
Looking great, I'm glad you let the pros take care of it. Chrisfix makes it look like a walk in the park ,misleading thousands of people. I'm glad you had it done the right way 👍💯💯
I'm glad he was able to admit he was wrong in the diff build there's a lot going on and a diff set up is pretty expensive! coming from a jeep guy that's done many diff rebuilds and upgrades!
I'm loving this rebuild! It's so good to see true love and dedication go into this project, keep it up! With the 240SX Restomod and the DriftStang projects going, I wonder when I'll be able to get myself a project car hahah
Yes!! Ah man I loved this. I've had my SR swapped 240 for 6 years now and I've been there. Everything is so simple in theory. No shame in getting help, you gotta learn some how. Keep the videos coming.
ThaKenMan damn 240 peoblems lol, had mine for a year and ive done a full trans/clutch job, engine rebuild, full cooling system update cause my oem rad blew and a couple other shits n gigs 240's do to you lol i love it though
Scottys oh yeah, I’ve swapped countless axes, diffs, radiators, you name it it’s probably been swapped. I wouldn’t trade it for the world tho. I find that there is a brotherhood/ sisterhood with 240s. Even when you have a budget and resources as extensive as @saabkyle04 and still run into the same problems. Everyone’s gotta pay tribute to the Nissan gods. Lol
I just had a day where I wish I didn't leave bed - I lost 8 hours and $120.00. I don't feel too bad knowing you're right there with me saabkyle... Thanks for sharing and being genuine 👍
It's really a matter of having the right tools. If you don't want to invest in them, it's definitely cheaper to take it somewhere. Glad it was built really nice!
Great video as always! I was just thinking, one of the first videos I watched from you was that Z31 Datsun 300ZX overhaul detail. Making something old look new again. This video series kinda reminds me of that, only x100! Keep up the good work Kyle
Once again proving why no one fucks with differentials or if you do it yourself *you gotta have experience* the process is simple, but you're measuring *in thousandths* so it's not so simple. Same exact experience I had with my SN95 Mustang, glad you got to see it for yourself.
Fantastic video as always kyle. Well put together, very informative and also the general type of project you are doing, (restomod) is fresh to see in comparison to all the drift builds.
Very enjoyable, especially explaining your mistakes. I do almost all my own work on my cars EXCEPT for taking apart and reassembling the differential. Too many moving parts and room for mistakes. Good job on deciding to take it to a shop!
This so cool 😎! Although I'm not really a fan of this model, it really is an education to watch you check and rebuild this baby! You're a positive guy and I'm not surprised this project is going great 👍! Keep going 👍 👍!
"noone will be able to see and appreciate all the work that went into it" That's where your wrong, by watching this video I've gotten to see and appreciate it.
great build. Honesty is not a good thing in modern times... personally i think that you make it more genuine that way. i know you could edit that and show that you rebuild that yourself. i also try to work on my car and learn on mistakes some times they are costly but the main point is not to quit. I'am also before Diff rebuild on w201 and i know it would not be easy. with the preload etc
i don't like begging for reviews (never have and never will after this) but can you review a 3rd generation Camaro (if you can get you hands on one) thinking about buying one but wanna get a good review from you first! (its my dream car so that's why) But keep making great videos you make some of the best car videos ever really the best!
His name was David and yes, he was awesome, really took the time to show me everything. I'll be going back there when it comes to working on my transmission for the RB. Great people!
This is so funny. When you first started this, you looked like a clean cut "white as snow" white dude...Now you look like a hardcore car mechanic who has seen some things.
If you had first watched ETCG's video where he struggles endlessly to get the preload and backslash properly adjusted, you wouldn't even thought of doing this yourself.
Was the retailer from the UAE called partsouq? If so I've used them before and they are awesome! If not, check them out, they have a ton of genuine nissan parts are good prices.
Where did you find part numbers for all the bolts, vent tube, etc? I'm in the process of rebuilding my diff right now also. The diff breakdown doesn't show parts as small as nuts/bolts. Thanks
I know this video is old. But I’m working in my 91’ and can’t find the proper torque specs for the rear end unit being put back. Any help would be awesome!
Hey everyone! Hope you’re enjoying the series so far! If you have any video suggestions for the 240SX, let me know! I’ll be working on finishing up the suspension ASAP so we can get this thing back on the ground!
+Saabkyle04 Yes! This series is so fun to watch! Nice to see you restoring this car! Makes me happy!
Intelligent Horse Thanks pal! 🙏🏻
Intelligent Horse 🐎
Cant wait for the jdm bumpers and taillight install. Kinda wish you could swap the jdm hvac controller

I love the attention to detail you put into this built with oem genuine parts, quality aftermarket parts and the cleaned/repainted parts. Can't wait to see more of this build

This build series is amazing and I have so much respect to you for getting your hands dirty during the process. Your passion shows and really helps.
InternetDude Thanks buddy! 🙏🏻
The shop part was so satisfying to watch
The tech you took it too is a great presenter and good at explaining things
*Great vid! So glad you went to a shop! Diff work is known to be....well, quite Diff-icult* 👍
Seeing that expert work on your diff was something else...
the effort he puts in the car is insane, he gets every little screw from nissan and makes it new
what...? that's pretty much normal practice. If you don't you're either just being cheap or a butch.
Really enjoyed this video. The well-filmed step-by-step interspersed with your commentary (at times self-effacing and humorous) was a great technique. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next step with this car.

This car is going to drive like a dream

Saabkyle04 I'm really enjoying the rebuild journey!
I'm glad he was able to admit he was wrong in the diff build there's a lot going on and a diff set up is pretty expensive! coming from a jeep guy that's done many diff rebuilds and upgrades!

Coffee Phill Thank you! Just make sure it’s a car you’re passionate about, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! 😁👍🏻
I remember I came here when Kyle did a review on that bright yellow 2006 Nissan Xterra ever since then I’ve been a faithful fan 😁
Yes!! Ah man I loved this. I've had my SR swapped 240 for 6 years now and I've been there. Everything is so simple in theory. No shame in getting help, you gotta learn some how. Keep the videos coming.

Most legit TH-cam car channel, big props Kyle!
Love this vids man. Wish my local mechanics would have videos like this so we can have the peace of mine that they know what they are doing.
This is simply an outstanding resto/mod series. Bravo Kyle!
I just had a day where I wish I didn't leave bed - I lost 8 hours and $120.00. I don't feel too bad knowing you're right there with me saabkyle... Thanks for sharing and being genuine 👍

Hand down the best video of this project!
Great video as always! I was just thinking, one of the first videos I watched from you was that Z31 Datsun 300ZX overhaul detail. Making something old look new again. This video series kinda reminds me of that, only x100! Keep up the good work Kyle
Thanks man! I remember that! I wish I had another opportunity to do something like that. Detailing is so much fun :D
The cleanest condition one probably anywhere.
Glad to see this car get new parts, have been here in a long time. (Watching the videos)
Kawaii Smith Thanks bud!

that was a very interesting video, as you explained and continue with such interesting videos, best regards from Black Forest Germany

Underrated channel. I love the videos
Every time you wipe down the extra dirt and dust, you reminds me of James May's American cousin......:)
Dang these guys are experts!
I did an LSD install the other day, the lights were so damn bright.
"noone will be able to see and appreciate all the work that went into it"
That's where your wrong, by watching this video I've gotten to see and appreciate it.
Glad it all came out good at the end.

Just started watching your videos, had to sub to a fellow North Carolinian. Keep up the good work!
Great vid like always. That's really cool transmission place let you record but talked you thru it.

Your 240sx is looking great Kyle 👍
Thank you!!!
That guys shirt...ECGS East Coast Gear Supply is in Raleigh NC. Deffinatley one of the better shops in the area.
I recommend getting strong magnets to the drain plug that it collects all the metal particles :D
Stabbs _ good idea
Stabbs _ well if it’s a Nissan part like he said it should be built in.
Stabbs _ The new plug from Nissan has a magnet built in it 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video. Very knowledgeable fellow you were working with
His name was David and yes, he was awesome, really took the time to show me everything. I'll be going back there when it comes to working on my transmission for the RB. Great people!
clear blinkers and new wheels.
Brilliant, Kyle! Thank you!
This is so funny. When you first started this, you looked like a clean cut "white as snow" white dude...Now you look like a hardcore car mechanic who has seen some things.
This was an honest great training experience and vid..
If you had first watched ETCG's video where he struggles endlessly to get the preload and backslash properly adjusted, you wouldn't even thought of doing this yourself.
Could you review a Acura NSX? If you could Kyle that would be awesome!
You are making so so so clean mods
What a great shop
Looking perfect!

Does this shop have all of the seals to do a rebuild?
Been a minute.

Awesome video, man.
Dave Houghton Thanks Dave!
You could tell kyle is getting so fed up with this build😂😂😂
Do you still have the Chevelle Malibu?
Pls make a video of lincoln navigator 2017 in depth
Kyle,
Do you happen to have a part numb list, for all the bearings/race etc?
Thank you for making amazing videos
Edward Alaniz Thank you for your support!
What gear oil are you going to use?
When people look at their car and imagine what they want to do and end up halfassing it
You know expectation vs reality?
Well you are the expectation
J⃟O⃟N⃟A⃟T⃟H⃟A⃟N⃟ S⃟C⃟H⃟U⃟L⃟T⃟Z⃟ If I cant do it right, then I’ll find someone who can 👍🏻 Regardless, it’ll be done right!
Kyle do a video on the 2018 ford flex
Awesome content. Subscribed!
Did you ever put differential fluid in your differential or is it not needed
Where did you find part numbers for all the bolts, vent tube, etc? I'm in the process of rebuilding my diff right now also. The diff breakdown doesn't show parts as small as nuts/bolts. Thanks
No thread sealant on the drain/fill plugs?
I can taste a little salt in this video. Great job none the less
is there a link for all the seals sold in package?
if you have no specialized tool for torquing the bolts, what else can you use?
I just want to see the type x kit on 🤤
So now you're going for big power? How much? 400hp?
Please i need to know, did you replace the crush sleeve when you reassembled the diff? If you did, where did you find a replacement?
satisfying level 10000000000000
Hi! Where can i get the piece that is between the differential and the transmission bar? Thanks guys!
I wish you rebuilt a Kouki 97/98 240sx.
Doesnt the USDM s13 have a diff oilcooler?
I know this video is old. But I’m working in my 91’ and can’t find the proper torque specs for the rear end unit being put back. Any help would be awesome!
Salute from united Arab Emirates🙂
