Another one that doesn't get enough attention is Pentatonix Star Wars Tribute (Live at the AMA's 2015). They start out Acapella and then the full orchestra comes in and Pentatonix holds their own with them!

It comes from the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky. The idea was brought to the band by the bass, Avi Kaplan who was classically trained. It won Pentatonix their 2nd grammy for arrangement instrumental or acapella. (The first was Daftpunk medley which you already reviewed I believe). You can tell by their expressions that PTX really did want people to laugh & have fun listening to this. 🤓 (And I must say, despite saying this isn't the type of music you usually like/listen to, you certainly know a lot about the orchestral version! 😏)

It was written by Tchaikovsky and is played by a full orchestra, although most of the time only a few instruments are playing.
