Did restarting the vehicle rest the ATRAC? Any reason it didn't engage right off the bat or indicators from the dash light? Thanks for positing your videos.
@@LimitOfN , yes. Restarting fixed it. Sometimes dust can confuse ABS sensors (happens on my discovery 2 quite often), first time it happened on the LX. I blame my cheap $20 chinese sensor. That said, we had it out on the trail again just recently and it hasn't done it since.
Update: That climb bothered me enough that I've since installed an ARB rear locker. I'm still a fan of electronic wizardry, but it's still not a mechanical locker.
Do you need a day permit to get in the Elephant Hill Trail? I heard they only let 25 vehicles in a day or so.. Do you get these permits at the gate or have to reserve in advance? Sweet video by the way.
You can reserve early at recreation.gov. I'm not sure if any are available at the visitor center. We've done portions of White Rim as a day trip by just showing up, but they allow more rigs per day on the Rim.
AmeriLite Chrome Plated. Yeah, I recommend them (be careful with the trim around the headlights, I broke mine taking it off and had to repair it from behind with doublesided tape and some wood (epoxy would have been better). As for the lights, you get rid of that hideous green-tint that Lexus of that era put in that clouds up, and the headlights are upgraded. Make sure you get it properly aligned...they come lowered from the factory so you don't blind traffic. I had to raise them quite a bit. I had a nice vinyl fence I could park behind at night and marked the perimeter of both the low and high beams with painters tape and where I parked. Then I swaped the headlights, went back at night and parked in the exact spot and adjusted them. It's been great!
What trails would you attempt with a stock LX with the AHC still installed? I like mine in my 05 and want to keep it. With a sensor lift and in high position with 33’s I might be good? I’d be interested in what you think.
I did Birthing Cave in sand hollow, bone stock on street tires, so it's quite capable factory with small tires. I'd take it on all the Sedona trails I've done, even though it was lifted before I went. All of the Colorado trails I've reviewed should be stock LX capable.

Yeah, I was pretty stumped myself until I saw the dash light. It was so easy once I restarted the rig.

heading there this summer, with a non ATRAC JDM lc100, only comes with rear LSD
At Easter jeep Safari they have us back up thru SOB Hill instead of trying to climb the ledges
Interesting, I couldn't remember where I was supposed to back up, so ended up going this way.
That campsite was so beautiful! This trip was excellent, loved every second of it.
