"We do the work, you cannot do without. We do the work, you cannot but be proud O' Combat Engineers of the SAF. A force to reckon with in defense of our land"
Still can smell the salty air over Seletar Hotel with this video. Old boatmen use to ride their boats standing and delaunch by ramping up te slipway alone. Pity most won't get to see or experience that nowadays.
Our Army is one of the reasons why we enjoy the peace and sovereignty that we have now. These guys work hard, regardless NSF, NSman or Regulars, to keep the nation safe so that our loved ones sleep peacefully at night. I think that they deserve our respect for that.
They had changed the Outboard Motor (OBM) in the assault boat... Miss the assault boat cos once upon a time, I was a Boatman Class 1... We don't sit down to operate it. We stand...
brackpersian this series is on the pro-term (final 3 months/out of 9 months) of officer training in OCS (Officer Cadet School). So they are all cadets, not officers YET. They are trained on everything they need to know, in every position of their vocation, while in their pro-term. After this, they will post to units, working with specialists and enlistees under them.
There are political and societal impacts to doing this, both to the regions surrounding Singapore, the political repercussions within the nation, and to the citizens of Singapore. Imagine if we send a battalion to fight and we suffer casualties. Even though its an inevitable part of fighting in a war, imagine the political and public outcry. So yeah, have to consider a lot of things, not just send.
Haha, I don't think so. My coy was the last to move out of the pre-war bunks ('last' meaning even reservist units had the new bunks!) And yeah, the new buildings macam hotel, man :D
its nice to see him so excited and happy :)
