"Two hurdles stand in the way of their journey home" Having just came back from Brunei myself, the first thing that came to my mind was rifle cleaning and dekitting.
"sean, i have half the mind to give you a major right now" a major is like a yellow card, 2 majors means you would not be awarded the jcc badge. 2 minors make up a major.
It has been 21 hours since I reached Singapore from Brunei. The past 24 days over there have been amazing, despite every terrible condition the country threw at us. To all future frames going for JCC, you'd do well to remember my wing's motto... "Faith, not fear!"
during the course covered in this video, trainees are entitled to wear jungle hats. during normal exercises, it is usually mandatory to wear helmets unless you belong to vocations such as recce, cdo, divers etc
no idea!! but i have been to Brunei before...and yes helmet is a must for rifleman!! But i feel that ATEC in Thailand is much more fun than in Brunei...esp that Mount Biang!! lol...
Brings back memories from 8 years ago! Back then, it was Chillhermit followed by Chillbone. The hot milo in between the 2 exercises was probably the best milo I ever had, and not forgetting the cold 100 plus at the end of ChillBone! Thanks cyberpioneertv for the last 2 episodes. :)
You will climb every mountain in brunei!! It;s a journey for all rifleman and you will be drinking water from the river during your navex training. It's really an experience that I will never forget!! Sleeping will be on a hammock and its freaking dark at night.
It means he was the designated cadet platoon commander, if there is one line above the loop it would be Cadet Wing 2IC and 2 lines above would mean Cadet Wing IC
question for @cyberpioneertv - is this series aired on any media channel other than the internet? it's a really great series, very well produced, i hope more cyberpioneer stuff can get aired on conventional media, it's good for more young singaporeans to see this.
dear cyberpioneertv (my favourite channel !) maybe you guys can consider an episode with more excitement .. maybe "sergeants vs officers : thirst for blood." .. something like that...
the biggest failure of SAF officer corp is that it is still using the old british regimental regime -- where they completely separate the officers with the men in camp and in the field. Once while my unit was overseas, 700 men packed a small dining sack eating fried bee hoon while our officers were served red wine with proper dining kits!
being NS men, most of us older soldiers chose to stay in our tentages feeling disgusted, with many of them went hungry that night. that day ended with our NS OC going into various tentages calling for us to join the men...for all i know, the Israelis officers sleep, eat and shit with their men in camp and in field to gain respects of their mainly reservist fighters. This does not affect the fact that officers at time need to command their men to dangerous missions.
This place is the worst shit ever for those who came here before. The cynthia gate when you pass by it was the best shit ever. I wasn't an officer that went to OCS but i was a Commando that have to go through this shit before 72km!

They should let people to take a bath first, and rest for the day

Nicely done... but where are all the vulgarities?
I love to see that metal gate!! Thats the rear gate of the Brunei Camp!! lol...
haha the feeling when you see cynthia gate..... priceless
At 05:21 , What does the rank on the cadet means? (The loop above the bars)
It means he was the designated cadet platoon commander, if there is one line above the loop it would be Cadet Wing 2IC and 2 lines above would mean Cadet Wing IC
Do sispec have jungle confident course ?
i think i not taking the course
no.. only selected sergeants who are going to be NS PS/CSM will go for it if im not wrong.
i thought that the A-frame they made was really solid despite the violent shaking...anyone need to solid for what? in case got earthquake ah?
ok , cause i sign on as Regular in the army , so does that mean that i will be posted to sispec after BMTC , or base on SIT TEST Etc ?
Is there anything like the USSOCCOM in Singaporean military??
I heard they train in brunei
hmm cause scs is 6mths? if they had jcc too, then there'd be no difference in the duration of training.
I GOING TO EAT THE BUN ALREADY!

Perfect for a 100 plus commercial
What if they fail the test? are they going to be in deep shlt?
@YZTWR You should have seen the comments below. They have explained the meaning of major. More of like a yellow card.
lol! 100 plus commercial?
Transpiration*
half a mind to give a major (demerit point)
