    "DIRTY THIRTY" is the little sibling of the popular "FILTHY FIFTY" workout - just fewer reps per movement (30 instead of 50). But it doesn't hurt any less; you just get to go harder and faster. Ian and Jenny both said the knees-to-elbows were where the grind started. But they had pretty different strategies, with Ian breaking up movements to moderate the work, whereas Jenny said she pushed past her targets, even on the first set of a movement. It worked for her, as she finished in 11:10.

    I clipped my foot on the box during a box jump and landed on my shin bone on the edge of the box. The box sliced through my leg down to the bone and I ended up with a bacterial sepsis. I still do crossfit, but I won't touch a box jump.

    @warchild9750 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i understand that there is a technique for everything, but form is the most important aspect. i am a stickler on burpees. burpees should be done with form. why? because you will get stronger. This is why i would never do crossfit. yes it brings results, but the consequence is more likely to be injured. i get the giant sets for time is a challenge, but this crossfit gym disregards form. i guess that is why waivers are signed so they are not liable if a serious injury happens. i am not a form nazi, but proper form should at least be taught so it can be attempted. js . Get Money!!

      @hi5_centipedes874 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But wouldn't you want your form to be strict and on point all of the time? What's the benefit of high reps with bad form?

    • @wodwell
      @wodwell  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes ideally we’d all strive for perfect form always, in sport and in life. But that’s not reality. Both in sport and in life we constantly compensate and balance risk and achievement. This is true in almost every sport.

    • @asianbarista
      @asianbarista 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's because crossfit trainers are too preoccupied with getting their reps in than to focus on their actual progress through proper form. Notice they constantly commentate about how they get their reps out of the way, or how they don't even know if some times get the full proper form for some of those exercise? How are people still taking this stuff seriously?
