So the blog post beginner workouts… if it’s 10 different workouts, do you just work on each one a different day until you get better at them Before getting training?
Yes please. More beginner content would be great. A couch to confident style video would be awesome. I’m 46 and over weight and see those doing CrossFit and instantly think “I can’t do that”. This video makes me think “I might just be able to do this”.
I joined CrossFit at 58 yrs old and 248 pounds. I was nervous and worried I wouldn't be able to do what the others were doing. the coaches had me scale or do a foundation workout according to what I could do. The first 6 weeks i lost 15 lbs and by 8 months I had lost 48lbs by just doing the CrossFit workout. I didn't change my diet just my intentions and determination to go five days a week and do the workout. Not gonna lie I was sore in places I never thought you could be sore in. I wish I had known about CrossFit earlier in my life but I am genuinely happy I found it now. I started weightless with a PVC pipe and then went to a 15lb bar up to the 35lb bar. I haven't run in years cause of weak knees due to being overweight. I run now, it's a scale run but I'm running and that's amazing. Give it a try. Not a traditional gym. Members are amazing, coaches are amazing and so helpful. I'm trying to reach a goal weight closer to 150 but my main goal first is to be stronger and healthier. My trainer always said 1% every day is what gets you to your goal. It doesn't happen overnight, nothing does but 1% will get you there. 1% of nothing is still nothing but 1% of something is something. I'll take something over nothing any day. Good luck in whatever you do.
Yes please to more beginner content! I’m 52 and new to CF and LOVING it. My teachers at CrossFit sweat shop in Walnut Creek are wonderful but I’m hungry for more!
Yes, more beginner content. Even for those of us who have been going to CrossFit for years, we don't always have the basics covered. The handstand kick up to the wall is still my nemesis.
Loved this video! I am 62 and just joined a Cross Fit gym and feel quite overwhelmed when I go. Burpees are physically challenging for me. I love the weight lifting parts of the workout. Please continue making videos for beginners!
Just had my 2nd class! I love it…I’m 56 and looking to tone up. The pandemic left me unmotivated and a little “soft” so I’m excited to get back into it. I feel like CrossFit may be my answer. Looking for lots of beginner content. Thank you!!
Yes! More beginner content! This is very helpful for those of us who haven’t been in an exercise program for years. I’ve had one week of instruction at CrossFit and need more. I’m going to my first CrossFit class in a few days.
Yes, I'd be grateful for more beginner content. I'm 57 with some muscle and strength however; I've been behind the computer sitting for far too long. Ready to get strong and fit.
YES!! Definitely more beginner content, first off. Second.. I am SO glad I found this video and I will Definitely be checking out your online gym / courses. This video was very informative and easy to follow without being dumbed down to the point of being appropriate for mostly kindergartners. Thank You!! BIG Thumbs up!! 👍💪😆
I'm a 63 year old male and I've been working in an office for the last 20 years. Prior to going to the office I had a 52 inch chest 34 inch waist and ran 3 miles in 16 mins. I was in great shape. So I'm starting over to get back into physical condition. More videos for beginners is a great idea. Please provide them. Thanks Donald Rose
I would love a home video or a beginner/senior workout. I use to go to CrossFit before Covid and was building strength but I need to get back in but probably less strong as when I first started. I would like to have a month or two working up my strength and endurance before going back to the gym
I would like more beginner content , basic steps into rx movements , modifications to work around old injuries , etc. thank you 😊 all your suggestions and advice
Checking in from the Netherlands!🇳🇱 Totally new to CrossFit, but loving it already! The atmosphere is very welcoming. I'd expected to be frowned upon as a newbie, but I felt right at home from the start. I want to lose weight, gain strength and improve my posture, but that's not going to happen by itself. I'm willing to put in the work. The advice is more than welcome and much appreciated! 💪
This is amazing no one ever explained to me how to do squats properly but after watching this beginner content my squats are so much better thank you 😊
Thanks for a great video. I’d welcome more videos on the basics. I injured myself doing deadlifts incorrectly and it has taken a long time to heal.I’m lifting again but taking it slowly. Beginning lifting in mid-life is a big learn and injuries take extra time to heal so any training to help us do lifts properly I’m all for that
Yes please, more beginners content! I HATE burpies... but when you said "If you can't do burpies, then you are one step away from assisted living." That does kinda motivate me to do them more!! LOL
Fantastic thank you, burpee and pull up and skipping 🤣. I'm not new to weights, but want to start crossfit 48 and very heavy.. hopefully this will help. 😊
Yes!! I’ve been lifting weights for over 10 years but I need more cardio to my workouts.. this seems to combine them both and WAY more interesting than just cardio. Love this info.
This video is great!! Yes more beginner videos, I need to work on my burgers and my pull-ups, definitely need to start training the right muscles to pull ups, I can not do any at the moment
That’s the most beneficial video I have ever seen as a beginner you made those movements very clear to me and you definitely deserve to be followed, I felt like some teacher showed me the basic as clear and easy as possible ! Many thanks to you please keep doing those videos about fundamentals in sports also fundamentals about machines in the gym please 🙏🏼
I need to work on burpees. Right now I do it by stepping through. This is the first CF beginner instruction I’ve found, trying to figure out how to start and make a plan and start doing beginner classes 3 times a week.
I’d love more beginner content! I live in a really remote area overseas with no CrossFit classes available but I like what I’ve seen other accomplish with it. I’m hoping to learn it on my own to increase my fitness.
Awesome. Yes, more beginner content. There is a ton of information about advanced movements but very little for those just beginning. Amazing content throughout. Keep doing what you're doing.
I'm a 63 year old male and I've been working in an office for the last 20 years. Prior to going to the office I had a 52 inch chest 34 inch waist and ran 3 miles in 16 mins. I was in great shape. I loved the real life movements tied into some of these. I am working one on one with a coach from my box and I learned more from this video than hours with her. I never understood what tight core was, like the bracing for a punch description. Closing the car door with you butt for the squat is genius. I really liked the way you described the press movement being similar to putting away groceries because I used to push the bar in front of me. I do think you made the pull up seem easier than it is. Many people at our box have to do modifications and as a beginner it is a tough one. I love this beginner video, will be watching your other videos explaining more about the most basic movements.
Great video!! As a beginner in CrossFit this was very helpfull. More content please. Pull-up, cleans and snachts are difficult to me. Tips to improve these!! I love the way you explain, it seems easier than in the box.
Aloha.. I just came across your video and it was very helpful for me to get an idea where to start thanks so much. I really want to get better at squats and pull ups. So yes more beginners stuff would be awesome. Have a wonderful day Mahalo
Yes more beginning video's I have lost over 100 lbs and started working out to keep the weight off. I am trying to learn how to do pull ups and to climb a rope
Definitely the strict pull up. I find that in my box we are always concentrating on the WOD of the day. I think I need to figure out how to fit strength training into my plan.
I started CF at 56 and am now 58. I struggle with increasing weight despite challenging myself. I find it frustrating. I'd love if you did a video with tips on how to improve this...ie if you struggle with pushing weight overhead, these are the exercises you can do to help improve that...
Great Great Great video!!!! The BEST video I've seen on TH-cam ♥️❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I'm ready to begin my crossfit training after watching your videos!!🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️🏋♂️💪💪💪💪💪💪
I really enjoyed this introduction to basic crossfit movements and feel they are just the easy step motivation I need to begin my journey to improved strength and health.
I’m on my second week of CF. This video was so useful because it teaches basic movements that for a beginner is something new. I found this video very helpful because I can learn the movement concepts then be more prepared as a beginner when I actually have to execute the movements at the gym classes! Thanks !
I just watched for the 1st. Time, I’m 61, 5’ shorty, I’m interested in more squats, the burpee, also sit-ups, I’m in the process of buying a few kettle ball weights, the bar, and medicine ball, I have a treadmill, and do about 3 miles in the am, & 3 miles pm. After work, I only have a small basement, but do have other equipment, eleptical, and floor bicycle. I hope you do more videos, and I do hope they are longer, thank you so much.
Love the beginners video and kook forward to more as I venture into CrossFit. I going to focus more on pulls ups 5’1, 152lbs and jumping rope. I'm not very coordinated. Thanks again!

Thanks for the video. I have been working out most of my life but really want to get into CrossFit. I have a wrist and shoulder injury so some workouts can be difficult. I want to work on my pull-ups more. I kind of avoid them because they can be sore on my shoulder but I have started doing more shoulder strengthening exercises to help with that and stretches. Also, my cardio does need some work so I have been running and hiking every day. Anyway, I have subscribed and looking forward to improving my fitness.

Starting with my first CrossFit workout tomorrow
Thanks for the video. I have been working out most of my life but really want to get into CrossFit. I have a wrist and shoulder injury so some workouts can be difficult.
I want to work on my pull-ups more. I kind of avoid them because they can be sore on my shoulder but I have started doing more shoulder strengthening exercises to help with that and stretches.
Also, my cardio does need some work so I have been running and hiking every day.
Anyway, I have subscribed and looking forward to improving my fitness.
Yes please do more beginner content!!!
