I got a 2014 2.4L 6-speed. Currently road tripping and had to drive 300 miles. Hasn’t been having problems yet but want to get it done quick. Think it’d be cheap to have a mechanic do it? I’m somewhat knowledgeable but don’t have tools on me like an idiot😅

You need a knife and $10 tool set from ACE, WHICH gonna have everything on you, mechanic probably gonna charge you 50-100 for work + part.
      Good luck man!

My customer had a used engine put in and while resealing it all I noticed his was really dirty. It wouldn't hardly work. So after alot of cleaning and spray silicone it worked like new. Wonder if it's a regular issue with carbon, etc? I've seen a few of these. Bad design. Plastic reacts alot more to Temps than metal.
