- How to fox a P2004 Code: Intake Manifold Runner Control Solenoid Stuck Open Bank 1
An intake manifold runner control (IMRC) opens and closes flaps inside variable intake manifolds, which optimizes airflow into the engine.
Depending on the vehicle, the solenoid can be electric or a combination of electric and vacuum controlled. It receives its signal from the computer (ECM/PCM).
Each manufacturer has a unique IMRC system design.

I'm getting a p2008 code on my 69 Dodge Coronet 392 hemi swap. I thought it was the actuator so I replaced it..didn't help. I've checked the connector it seems fine. Ideas?
The tube that connects to intake manifold runner solenoid is broken. Could that cause p0106 that i'm seeing?
My Imrc keeps working open and closing constantly even at idle and low speeds and I have multiple codes
On my fusion I replaced the whole intake with hoses and both solenoids and I erased the code and it immediately comes back.
