I am at 146k 2.4 L Auto Dual VVT. Have been through 3 major accidents (two hit the same spot front left wheel, still rolling. On axle #3 ,front left fender #3 front right fender #2 front grille #3, Lower bumper #3 front left wheel #2. I still have 3 wheels/tires spare from another jeep owner. A car smashed my back have a new trunk door only made the head rest air bags deploy (pop bag in easily.).This jeep is a fucking beast. Started experiencing this and am glad I have. It’s been through so much and it still works great. As long as you maintain it, I’m sure it’s gonna go very long. Minor sensors have been changed out, k&n high air flow filter…. I bought my 2016 with 3 miles off the lot brand new on New Year’s Eve of 2015. It is now 2025 today. At the end of the year all 10 years have been driven/owned by me.
@@hongchongtang the gasket was around $30 and the labor took me around 1h to complete. if u go to a mechanic they will charge u for the labor of course, the amount may vary depending on many factors $150-$400
Nope, OP is correct; this is according to the manual: 1. Clean all RTV from the cylinder head. • Note: When using RTV, the sealing surfaces must be clean and free from grease and oil. • Note: When using RTV, parts should be assembled within 10 minutes and tightened to final torque within 45 minutes. 2. Apply a dot of Mopar® engine sealant RTV (or equivalent) to the cylinder head front cover T-joint (1). 3. Install the cylinder head cover assembly to the cylinder head and install all bolts, ensuring the studs are located as shown. 4. Tighten bolts in the sequence shown using a 2-step torque method as follows: a. Tighten all bolts to 5 N•m (44 in. lbs.). b. Tighten all bolts to 10 N•m (90 in. lbs.). 5. Install the ignition coils and tighten fasteners to 8 N•m (70 in. lbs.). 6. If the PCV valve was removed: • Tighten the PCV valve to 5 N•m (44 in. lbs.). • Connect the PCV and make-up air hoses to the cylinder head cover. 7. Install the engine cover.
Well done. Thank you for making this video.

I wonder how much it costs and how long it takes to replace a valve cover pad

@@espanglishGarageA washer like this costs 30, which is too expensive
those valve covers are one use only. Replace it with one from amazon and it comes with the pcv valve. Its not available at the parts store.
Need a dab of rtv where you scraped off the old rtv. Tighten all bolts first to 44 in lbs. then again to 90 in lbs. 👍🏻
