    Still the best video on TH-cam on chipping. I've been a yipper for years and this video actually cured me.

      If this is the best video for the yips shoot me now! you gotta be crazy if this is a good video! what the hell did you learn?

      @@stiffshaft4060 We probably all yip due to different reasons. The feeling he described of thumping it on the ground helped me, I’ve always been trying to avoid touching the ground hence the yip.

    I like how he explains exactly how to do it, and then the girl asks “oh so how did you do that” 😂😂

    These are awesome shots, until you catch one one the front edge of the club and hit your 20 yard shot 85 yards over the green and into a pond.

    After golfing for 4 years, I've learned chipping around the greens is really what can make or break you.

      Use a hybrid, far more forgiveness than thinning/fatting chip shots with an iron/wedge

    Truth is with that shot he's actually hitting the ground and the ball gets in the way. Hit the ground with your bounce and forget about the ball, the ball just gets in the way and pops up and remember shallow not steep!

    Can you do it with a pitching wedge?

    • @giantsdudeful
      @giantsdudeful 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      48* is definitely possible for a flop shot. You open the face the same, but the shaft length and angle will be different. You’d need to bend your knees and put the ball slightly farther away from you. Or you can set up normally, bend your knees, and choke down on the shaft

  • @chuckgame4210

    How open is that face? It’s like 70-80 degrees open? Really hard the get under the ball clean like that. I tend to close my lob wedge face to make sure I get the ball clean. Opening the face will be much harder to pure unless my swing strategy or something changes. Ha! which i did this weekend and it really helped.

      Completely open like you play a sand shot. Like Billy said use the bounce of the club. That's how the pros are able to spin in so much. I wouldn't suggest this in the rough.

    What is the diff between a 52 and 56 degree? And which one would you choose to play which chips like these?

    How do you hit the ball without swinging down anyway? Those suggestions don’t make sense to us amateurs. The open face I can understand. Really helped my sand play. But sure would love to spin the ball.

    • @jdheelfan
      @jdheelfan หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use the bounce. When you address the ball spin face open to where the bounce is flat on the ground. Do not flip or break wrists at impact. You will get lots of spin on ball

    he gets that spin by having a brand new wedge every round...his grooves are perfect. Good luck with this with your 5 year old wedge with rounded grooves...
