Saw a performance of this 2nd night at the back to back Roundhouse shows in London sounded great live . Su's tone just fits whatever the song she performs 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Yesterday they finished the Europe Tour but so far this song wasn't part of the setlist.
Cool to see you reacting to this song, its even one of SuMetal's favorite from this album. I like the progressive metal elements, that heavy breakdown and the existential questions. There's also a reference to Macbeth in the lyrics besides the obvious lines famously known by Snow White tale.

Mirror Mirror was the 5th and final single they released from this new album called The Other One released in March showing us a new sound and a BM side we've never seen before with this metalverse.
This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with MomoMetal debuting as the new official third member, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and we're all proud of her, but don't think this as a replacement of YuiMetal, she's like a new incorporation to this group for this new lore and metalverse era. Also the BM logo changed, it doesn't have the skull and the heart in the B letter, as well there's only three feathers in the logo unlike four prior to this.
The Western Kami Band was in charge of these shows but the audio in the official MV is studio album sound unlike this live clip you have found.
They performed this at the World Tour 2023 and everyone was having a blast with their classic songs and the new ones.
I highly suggest you to check it out "METALIZM", "MAYA", Believing and every song from this latest album.

Babymetal has been hitting the European festivals lately. In their social media, they’ve posted pics with a lot of the big names like Megadeth, Phil Anselmo of Pantera, The Offspring, Slaughter to Prevail, Avenged Sevenfold, Avril Lavigne, and much to my surprise, LOVEBITES!
Nice one, love your reactions! Just an FYI: on Babymetal’s channel, “Official” = Studio Audio (over live or MV). “Official Live” = live audio.
I suggest searching for an actual live from sources such as “For The Fox God” channel, and others, so you can hear them actually live!
You mentioned how every Babymetal video feels like “a movement”. I agree! Here’s a fun suggestion:
*Catch Me If You Can (Budokan 2014 show):* For me, this was a face slapping moment early in my Babymetal journey. The most rediculous dichotomy of heavy brutal metal and ultra adorable cuteness when they were still kids!

"Mirror Mirror" is probably my favorite song from The Other ONE album. I absolutely enjoy the prog metal mixed with metalcore, the hardcore breakdown and that very, very BABYMETAL chorus. Also very fan of the pre-chorus (where they quote Shakespeare's MacBeth) and the modulation they did there.
Su-metal said about "Mirror Mirror": "it talks about how other people can see you, but you can only see yourself in a mirror, and that may not be your true self - yet ultimately, you’re the only one that truly discerns what you really look like. So in the end, it’s like asking yourself who you really are."

Great reaction. This is the official video so the audio is from the studio recording - the footage is actually a clever mix from both concerts on 1st and 2nd April 2023.
If you look closely whenever you see any of the girls mirrored the two images are wearing slightly different costumes - the darker costumes were from Black Night on 1st April, they had the iridescent costumes for Clear Night on the 2nd April. 🪞🤘🦊🪞

Great reaction! Some Shakespeare lyrics, some Grimm brothers lyrics, put together with the Kami band sound and Su-Metal´s mesmerizing voice, make up another BABYMETAL masterpiece! The breakdown is nasty, isn´t it? 😄 This is studio audio, the real live performance sounds even better, IMHO. Yep, BABYMETAL songs always feel too short, as do their concerts 🤣

This is the studio audio put over the live performance. If there is no "LIVE" in the titel than you can asume it's the studio version.

This was live footage with the studio track over top, when searching for BM videos and it says "Official" and it is a concert video it will be studio over live video, when it says " Official Live" it will be both live footage and audio. I think the recording engineers don't get enough credit on the live performances videos because they always sound better than the studio tracks.
Music video is playing in the back (bird flying in chorus). Studio sound used (Most music videos have the lyrics in the video in Japanese or English, especially BxMxC, you have the words just as Su is speaking them so fast!)
Ok now go back to the beginning. iine or doki doki morning music videos. It will put a big smile on your face. 🤘😎🤘

This is the state of vocal recording today. So heavy on the autotune and pitch correction that you create an AI robot voice. Rata- tat- tat suffers from the same excessive vocal processing to where Su-metal's voice is barely recognizable. Great heavy metal musicians, as always with Babymetal.
