At last a video fully explaining and demonstrating the use of a bearing removal/installing kit.. Now I am confident on how to do my Peugeot 308..Thak you!
Great video. I am changing a wheel bearing on my Citroën c4 with your video as guide. I have the exakt same problem as you, the split bearing and the lock ring that just don't want to come out.
I've just bought a CXP 2006. It has problems with rear axle suspension, I suppose. I hear sometimes cracking noises from the rear (I can't decide the correct side), I think it's the drivers side (left side in my country). I'm considering to replace the suspension on rear axle - both sides - and also the right side brake disk is rusty on the outer side. What could be the cause and can I do the replacement - both suspension and brakes - on my own or do you recommend to go to the workshop?
+skru2b . the rear axle has torsion bars. Those are a real pain in the arse to replace! In your case i think the bearings in the axle are bad. If you are going to replace them. You can beter buy a refurb rear axle. But if you want to do it, remove the whole axle from the car! Good luck!
I have replaced 3 wheel bearings on this vehicle and they keep failing after a week or so! I dont know what is causing it, i have changed the driveshaft im thinking maybe wrong cv joint would this cause the bearing to fail? also do u not tighten the bearing with wheel on ground? or is there no need on this car. thank you
Hallo, the knuckle design is different (lower ballpoint is the biggest difference)but the proses is almost the same. They use the same bearing. But be sure to get a bearing with a ABS ring if you have ABS. and also be sure that the abs ring is pointing to the back were the sensor is located.
Great video. Thanks. I'd only add the air wrench is dubious on the drop link without a spanner on the ball joint side too. The new looking boot splits at 14:07 but these links are now very cheap for a pair ;-)
Hallo, i used the midlock 2520 slide hammer. I dont know the brand or number of the bearing puller. But here is a link to a just like it. rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F202091066761 I hope it helps you out.
You didn't actually show the circlip being removed. It's a lot easier just to remove the knuckle from the car and put it in a big vice...one that is actually attached to a bench and not sliding about on the floor!

Very good video. I am about to change a front wheel bearing on a Citroen C3 Desire 2004. Is this the same for this car?
I don't know if it is the same bearing but it looks like the procedure is the same. Just be sure to check the torque specs.
Very informative
Thanks Kevin!
Does the bearing have to be magnetic
Good video
Thank you.
GREAT VIDEO,THANKS
No problem, thanks for watching.
very nice job! ur a good teacher! do u know if it same in citroen c5 2009?
Thanks! No the suspension is totally different. Off course the basic principle is the same. But the bearing is punched out and in from the front side.
very good video
Thank you! Thanks for watching.
Is it the same type of setup on a Peugeot 307?

Thank you, yes your better of supporting the ting you are completely right there. Those things are fragile
For the ABS?
No, these have a ABS ring on the driveshaft.
What size is the nut on the driveshaft please
Hi, 34 i believe it is.
Mine is bigger thought it was 36mm but even that's to small guessing a 38mm
Do you have a part number for your tools please ?

Yes sir, same car. Happy wrenching!

why you didn't take mcperson out?
I could have done that but it isn't necessary.
Nice job
Thank you!
