Thank you so much for posting this! I had tried the methods in other youtube videos for ironing a canvas (on low heat) and they never worked for me. But recently I received a 60 x 100 cm canvas from China that was, in my opinion, completely ruined. They had folded the canvas in half down the length of it and they folded it over many times more before sticking it in a bubble envelope (not a box) before sending it to me. I was devastated when I saw the VERY DEEP crease down the faces of the people and all the other wrinkles in the picture, and thought it could not be salvaged. In fact, my husband said "Just throw it away, it can never be fixed". I loved the picture, so thankfully I did not throw it away. And today I found your video and decided to try your method. And it was a great success! It came out perfectly, and no more creases or wrinkles. You made my day!
I tried ironing a new 70/40 canvas. I got about 95% of the folds out. Thanks for the tip.
Thank You very much for this video. I recently got 6-8 canvases with lots of waves on them. I have 4 under a heavy box and the others are laying flat on a table. Now I know how to fix them. Thank You again and God Bless you and your family!!
A very clear explanation of ironing the DP. I can tell you from experience, even 'flattening' on a plank under my mattress with me on top at night will not get rid of some of those deeper creases/waves (I ain't no lightweight, but I'm not ready for my audition for 600 pound life :-) ). I've got one flattening right now, and I will try this technique when I prep it.
I ordered some of those parchment squares as soon as you showed them on your video...Thank you! love em!
Aren't they amazing? I love them also!
OMG! This is the best method for removing creases ! I have watched so many videos and tried every way possible . I received a diamond painting from AliExpress that was in transit for 4 months . It was pretty much ruined . They gave me my money back but wanted to salvage . I used your method. I ran iron on highest setting . Used the parchment paper and water . It worked amazingly good ! Thank you so much ! On the really stubborn creases I used extra water . It dried out and glue was absolutely fine . It was very large as well 80x 120 cm . Can’t say enough good things about this method !!!!!
I'm so glad it helped! Nothing worse than a canvas fill of creases!
Thank you. I am a new subscriber as of today and stalking all your diamond painting tips. :)
Thanks for this video....much much help. I was afraid to try to iron the canvas it is so plastic feeling.
I must have missed it, but you didn't say what setting your iron was at
What temperature did you use?
I will have to try that. I just got 8 canvases from Newfrog and they are a little bit folded. Thank you for doing this video.
You are welcome! Thank you for watching.
Thank you so much for a great video. Gonna try it right now.
What temperature setting do you use?
I had it on the highest setting. Linen/cotton.
@@mydiamondaddiction7673 Thank you!
Is it safe to iron a finished canvas? If so, what settings would you recommend?
I already did one that has wrinkles all through it, where it was folded up instead of rolled up. Do you think I can roll out a piece of parchment paper as long a my diamond painting and put it on as hot as I can and hold it close to touching the paper without actually touching and maybe it'll straighten out a little. Wow! Can you even understand the jibberish? LOL
Thanks for this Valari! Now I won't get stuck to my canvas like a bug on a glue trap.
Haha no problem! I would recommend making sure the glue is completely covered. I had a sliver of glue hanging out over the edge of my parchment paper once and the material under the picture for stuck to it. Now I've got little blue fuzzies on the edge of my painting lol!
@@mydiamondaddiction7673 Thanks for that tip. I'll be careful.
Newbie here , I have received multiple new rolled kits but not sure how to keep canvases until I work on them? Do I unroll and store flat or can I leave them rolled, sometimes squished until I am ready to work on?
Thank you for the information! 😀
I have a large diamond painting that I’ve ironed using your method. Can I leave the parchment paper on the whole time I work on it or do I need to put the plastic back on?
I leave it on, other people remove it. I haven't had an issue with it though.
Can you also tell me what side of the parchment paper to you put down on the canvas...thanks
Have you found ironing has any effect on glue before or after drilling?
When I ironed my ones from New Frog, it seemed to make them more sticky. I have never had an issue with the drills after ironing though.
Brilliant!
Do you keep the parchment paper on till you are ready to work on it ?
Thanks - very helpful!
Can i use like baking sheet pls answer immidiatelly thank you
Hi can I use any parachment paper? I am worried about it getting stuck on the glue. Also does iron help with the air bubbles or should I still try to remove them by myself
I would be careful what parchment paper you use, I have heard some are really bad! The kind I use are the 5*5 squares. For air bubbles, I usually cut them several times and try to flatten them that way, then I iron them :)
Where did you get the square parchment paper
What is the best Parchment paper to get
Good video
Awesome! It is inevitable that we need to iron canvasses now with Newfrog and Peggybuy deals! You can't beat their prices :)
Very true! With their prices I will iron my canvases happily, and I hate ironing 😂
You're a braver woman than I, Valeri!! I wonder how much the dry cleaners would charge me to do that? LOL Great video!! Thank You for sharing!! :)
You can bet I tried it on a cheap canvas first haha! I have ironed many and ruined none. I finished the girl that I ironed in my video last night, I will do a completion review and probably framing tomorrow 😀
Good Call! LOL Fantastic!! I look forward to seeing that video!!
What setting is the iron on?????
I didn't know that parchment paper comes in precut squares. That's genius!
Right! I love it!
Who's on TH-cam the other day that you sell diamond canvases with diamonds can you give me a rough estimate if you do how much they are and do you order from wish or do you order from Amazon curious I like watching your TH-cam channel your fantastic thank you and merry Christmas and a happy New Year's to you and your family from me and Oklahoma
First, thank you so much for your kind words! No, I don't sell diamond painting kits. I have ordered from Wish, but I don't now, they charge too much shipping for me. I order from AliExpress, Amazon, Joom, New Frog, Peggy Buy, Diamond Art Club and I just tried a new company, but I cannot remember their name off the top of my head. I should be getting that painting in today or tomorrow. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well, I wish you nothing but the best in the coming year
What is your iron set at.?
I had it on the highest setting. Linen/cotton.
thanks
Do you iron them if they have the paper covers or do you always replace with parchment paper?
I always switch it for parchment paper, just because parchment paper is meant to withstand heat so I don't worry about it melting to the canvas. You may be able to do it with the opaque covers, I just haven't done it. I do have a couple small ones with opaque covers, and I have to iron a few new canvases that I just unboxed (video coming today sometime) so maybe I will iron one and see what happens.
@@mydiamondaddiction7673 do you leave the parchment paper on till you are ready to work on them ?
Will this get rid of "rivers" in the canvas? Huge newbie here
Michelle Weed take an exacto blade and score the river gently in the opposite direction that it runs in multiple places, it’ll remove the air from the run. Then you wanna put the paper cover back down and smooth with your fingers or a credit card.
Perfect answer! Thank you very much! ❤️
What temp. Is the iron on ?
I had it on the highest setting. Linen/cotton.
How hot did you have your iron please?
I had it on the highest setting. Linen/cotton.

Hi, Did you put water in the iron?
I did not put water in the iron. Not sure how that would work. I may try it and find out!
so you leave the parchment paper on . instead of replacing original cover
Yes. I just like taking one square off at a time and working in that section. It's really just a personal preference.
You made me laugh with your gallon of water 💦😂
😁😂🤣
How hot is the iron please
I use the iron on high and the parchment paper squares are linked in the description section. They are the 5x5 ones.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing id be afraid I'd mess up my canvas
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I made a huge mistake and used “wax” paper. Ruined my diamond painting!!!!! Peeling it off a little at a time was like peeling off wallpaper that comes off in a million pieces. Hope this comment helps someone else from loosing their painting. I see I was supposed to use “ parchement” paper NOT wax paper!!!
I was about to do that! Thank you for your comment 😊
Oh no! Wax paper turns out to be a disaster for sure! Thank you for warning other people!
I thought she dropped the camrea
I no longer own an iron. See one in my future!
That was me, too!
Hej
Jeg er vild med at lave dette produkt, det kunne jeg godt blive afhængig af.
What setting do you put your iron on?
