I first roll the canvas the opposite way. Leave a few minutes. Then dry iron on really low. Gradually increasing the temp after each pass. I love the diamond drill stuff with bigger pieces, like half pearls and so on. Usually for kids. But easier on the eyes! Enjoyed your video.

Thanks for the dry iron ironing video. I was getting the puckers in my canvass when I ironed them with steam. The dry iron works much better.

Hi Deborah, so good to hear from you again. Hope your husband gets better fast. I iron mine a little differently. I set the iron on wool and place a damp tea towel on the back of the painting. I move quickly but press hard. It works like a dream for me!
@Andrea Kovach Hello!! Thank you for the well wishes for hubby... he needs them. Oh...I did try a damp "towel" but I used a bath towel... not a tea towel. Maybe that makes the difference. So glad I found this video. Thanks for doing this. I got a diamond painting in that has some really bad deep wrinkles and the canvas is a stiff type, not the softer canvases I've had. The wrinkles are so bad that heavy college text books aren't helping at all. 😊 At least now I know just what to do to fix my canvas!
Hi Deborah! Glad I came across your video and learned something new! I just finished my FIRST Diamond painting and also was nice to see how you used the green tray to straighten the drills! Rather than ironing, get a piece of mat board the same size as your finished artwork (you may need to trim off the white boarders of what they send you). Spray one side of the mat board with 3M spray glue, evenly and consistently across the entire board taking several strokes across. Carefully affix your artwork on the glue side of the mat board, using your fingers to smooth out any wrinkles. You will have a wrinkle free surface to work on and not need to worry about the heat affecting the piece.

You could always seal the diamonds after you put them on. That way,they won't fall out!!
U can get the diamond art stuff on temu. Even the sealer glue. U can also use hairspray. Not the pump

Good Video! Just out of curiosity, I wonder if you can use the heat and then take the edge of an old credit card and smooth them out instead of fingers. That method is used for smoothing window tint, it might work for that too. Try that experiment sometime on one of your videos.
Do you have any suggestions for a wavy canvas that's completed? After this video, I'll never be starting a canvas that isn't flat. Thank you for sharing your tips.

Can this be done with dp canvas that uses double sided tape instead of poured glue?
How would you this if you dont have an iron? Any tips?
The iron looks like a skillet. Can you explain how hot it gets even though there is no fire? How fast can u warm up a tortilla?

I have a partial diamond painting ,… no success at getting creases out …. Help

I've tried ironing the canvas with a cool iron and ruined 2 paintings so I've gone back to putting them under a heavy weight for a couple of days.

What is washi tape for?
The sides so.yr hand dont stick onto the glue. U can get that at walmart or temu
