Thank you for making this video. I have a few I have done but wrinkles didn’t come all the way out so it’s nice to know I can iron them with drills on. Love your videos. ❤️
Hey Grace you have given me confidence to iron out the wrinkles in my canvases. Even the poured glue ones. Thanks you for doing this. I hope you are well. Take care.
Thank you Grace, great to learn new things. I ironed one last week and used steam setting learned my lesson the hard way. Thanks for sharing the heat setting as well. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
Hello Grave , Hope your doing well. I know this is going to sound silly but i love your iron. Thank You for this video it really help. Take Care and God Bless
@@carmellawright3574 That's okay, the V and C are very close to each other on the keyboard - you aren't the first one that has done that 😊 Have a great night!
You answered that question for me I done a small painting but wasn’t happy with the way it’s laying so you showed me that I can iron them once finished!! Thank you so much.
Glad I just watched this, I have two that I'm working on and they seem to be getting more wavy as I'm working on them. I think I will try and iron them after I finish them.
I’ve had good luck with using a misting bottle with distilled water. Working on a wavy one now and I think I will try to iron it even where it is drilled. TFS Dear
I have had good luck doing that most of the time, but for some reason, it got a bit wavy on a couple of them. You are so welcome - I like trying out different ways of doing things. 😊🥰
I did iron my partial drill but from certain angles faint line is still there, I think when I frame it that will solve it. I seen one person bought downy wrinkle guard on it. 😊
Framing will probably help a lot. I've never heard of using Downy wrinkle guard - interesting. I do know that I used to put water on the backs of mine when ironing them, and it worked really well, but then I found out that it stretched my canvas out a bit. I quit using the water - I just wonder if the Downy has any effects like that on the canvas. 💖
You are very welcome. I got it from gbfke.com and here is the link: gbfke.com/products/angel-5d-full-square-drill-diamond-painting-diy-cross-stitch-mosaic-picture-395629?variant=35619779674280
I have started using the wool setting for all of my canvases now. I mentioned in this video that a couple of my canvases got a little wavy after using water on them. I'm not sure if there is more paper in these canvases or not, so I've decided not to use water any longer, just in case other canvases have the same result.
I have a partial that a good amount of the picture doesn't have very much stick on it. I tried the wipe but it didn't really help very much just a little. Any more ideas?
I'm not sure what you meant by using a wipe. There are a couple of products that you can use to help put stickiness back on your canvas. One is Aleene's Tack It Over and Over: www.amazon.com/dp/B00178QQ84/?ref=exp_gbmaltese_dp_vv_d or you can use the glue that Diamond Dotz sells: www.michaels.com/dotz-stick-all-purpose-dotting-adhesive/10650464.html Hope that helps!
Wonder what makes it stretch like that. It just reminded me of wet mail after it dries when I saw it. I have done others with water, and nothing happened - I know that not all canvases are made the same, so I'm going to be on the safe side now!!
Thanks for this video, very informative and very good knowledge to have!!!
You are so welcome!
This is what makes you a great teacher. You try different options and share with us. Thank you!
Awww, thank you so much Shirley - you are so sweet!!
Thanks for the update!

Thanks Grace.

So pleased you’ve done this again Grace. Even better that you’ve proved ironing after drilling works OK. Thankyou so much! 🐨🐨💕
Thank you Beverley! You helped me know that this could be done - thank you for your help 😊💖💕
Thank you. I iron mine all the time. Will do without water from now on. 😃
yes, helps, thanks !!all the best to you.

Thanks for doing this video. I have been curious about it.
You are so welcome!! It's really easy and helps flatten the really wrinkled ones out nicely.
Thanks for your help understanding this. I have a double side custom that needs an iron.
Glad I could help 😊
Thanks Grace,
Been watching for the double sided glue ironing.
Have a great day🤗👍
You are very welcome Sue! 💖

Hi Miss Grace. It was a great video with wonderful information. I'm definitely bookmarking this one for future reference!
I'm so glad it helped you!!
That canvas you have not done yet is beautiful
I have so many pretty ones - it's hard to choose which to do next.
Thank you for sharing this because I am going to need to iron some of my Amazon canvases since even under boos they are not getting the folds out.
It's so easy and quick to iron them, that I don't even try putting them under books anymore.
I put my hot canvas under heavy boxes of games and my waves and wrinkles came out. They were finished full drills. ~~~^..^
That's a great idea!! The heat doesn't bother them at all.
Thanks for the great info Grace.
You are so welcome!

I have been ordering Amazon dp kits. They seem to be plastic type canvas. I think I ruined one because the heat was too high. Any suggestions or tips.

@@gbmaltese I don't know, the video I saw they tried using downy wrinkle release by itself. I was surprised they didn't try with a iron too lol 😆
@@lsanderfield LOL!!! Using it with an iron would make more sense! 😊
@@gbmaltese absolutely, I was shocked 😲 they didn't at least try the iron 🤣
Have you ever had parchment paper cause more bubbling?
I usually use silicon release paper, but I've not seen any increased bubbling with parchment paper. I do prefer silicone release paper though

poured glue you always use wool setting? and confused from previous video , we should never mist w water and iron?

Wow what set your iron on ?
As I mentioned in the video, I set it on the wool setting - which is the middle setting on my iron.
What happens when you iron it wet, is it stretches the canvas. You can't get the waves out, but maybe in a frame, it won't show.
Wonder what makes it stretch like that. It just reminded me of wet mail after it dries when I saw it. I have done others with water, and nothing happened - I know that not all canvases are made the same, so I'm going to be on the safe side now!!
I would think that it would warm the glue and make the glue stick better
They will either stick better or fall off - lol!!
That’s a good idea, thank you... you said tears with the one painting you ironed the double sided one how many years?
You are very welcome!! I have had several canvases for over 2 and 3 years.
