Why is everybody so fascinated with battery buses? batteryfree electric mobility is even more environment friendly. It's called a tram!! Even an 80-year old museum tram is more environment friendly than any fancy new battery bus. Battery buses should really ONLY be used when trams, subways or trains are no option. All too often we use buses where whe sould build tramways.

Why will there be a need for public transport? We are always being told that robots will do most work, so people will not be travelling into the cities so much - only small numbers will need to get to work. We are told online shopping is killing off shops, so people won't need to travel to either city centres or out of town centres. We are told that cities will have huge skyscraper residences containing all the facilities people need. Transportation will be by omnidirectional pods that will also take people to nearby towers via sky bridges. The roads will be almost empty except for delivery vehicles, emergency vehicles and a small public transportation system for the few with jobs who cannot work at home.
We will no longer have the freedom to go where we WANT to go. We'll go where THEY let us and be HAPPY!😳
I think a complete national bike infrastructure would be the best initiative and metro loops with buses as the last need for areas that are out of reach
