  • This week in the first of what will be two installments of our interview, we talk to NASCAR Hall of Famer andNASCAR 75 driver Matt Kenseth.
Matt discusses going up against rival Robbie Reiser in and around their homes in Wisconsin, and then just a few short years later joining forces in the Busch Series. That deal led to Matt and the team’s first Busch Series win at Rockingham, a victory that Matt to this day calls the biggest of his career.
Very early on in his Busch Series career, Matt was befriended by Winston Cup superstar Mark Martin. That relationship led to help from … and a Winston Cup deal with … team owner Jack Roush. Finally, Matt recalls his competitive relationship with Dale Earnhardt Jr.

1998 Dover was my first race i ever went too as a kid. Huge Bill Elliott fan. Ill never forget hearing that his dad died and being bummed the whole week leading up to it. Remember watching Matt that day. My dad became a huge Matt Kenseth fan that day and the timing for him worked as he was a big Ernie Irvan fan and Ernie was about to retire sadly.

Great interview Matt. He really did earn his way to a cup ride. I always enjoy learning more about drivers and how they got to be the great driver they are remembered for being on the track.

I'm liking the enhancements you are making to the videos: photo overlays related to what the guest is talking about, editorial notes, and playing the contrasting perspectives of different guests talking about the same event.
You are not (in the words of Kenneth) "resting on your laurels". You are working on continuous improvement and the efforts are recognized.
