I am very confused, I cannot find the part that you have labeled the “anti drain back valve” anywhere. When I look it up, the black plastic spring part comes up. I’ve seen so many others call the part you’re calling the ADBV an “oil in valve.”

You need this valve for propper oil pressure build up. Can you take a picture of your filter housing?

Without of this valve the filter housing drains engine off.

Would this cause Hot No Start Issues , if wrong cap had been installed with a short filter ? Trying to problem solve a 2003 6.0.
I wasn’t aware of this problem ever existing. I changed the oil on the truck a week ago after an extensive engine rebuild. Truck was running fantastic , after oil change, truck started to No start hot ? No codes. Watched a million videos and one was talking about oil cap being to tall, and sure enough the oil cap was replaced after the rebuild.
When we changed the oil last week, we used oem ford filter, sure enough to short. No stumped on what kinda problems that has cause not having proper filtration , plugged IPR screen ? So the question would be; would a tall cap/short filter ruin the bypass vale’s etc in the filter housing and would this cause a no start hot ?
