  • Just when I think I've got things figured out . . . nope. Not sure I ever had a low pressure oil problem. But maybe. Definitely a high pressure problem though.

    Not only will the valve not have been pushed correctly, but that spring and ball act as a check valve, when the filter is in place, and cap on, oil cannot leave the filter housing. When you release, it allows the oil to flow back to the engine. and the filter to be removed cleanly. Great Video!

    I have forscan for my 2018 f350 6.7 powerstroke. It is a great tool for sure. The 6.0 powerstroke sounds good, and when the issues it does have been fixed, they are a great motor.

      Agreed. It's been a great truck. The 6.7's are great!

    The truck sounds great!
    What pipes did you from the downpipes all the way back ? I have high flow muffler with original diameter pipe ... the turbo whine is too loud for me .

      @paggre  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks! I have a 4" down pipe, 5" from there back to the muffler and then to the back. It's a diamond eye kit.

    When I had lifters fail there was needle bearings in that relief valve

      That's scary. Did you year it down? Rebuild?

    Great video. Thanks for sharing. I bought a truck with the exact same issue and that spring part is missing. Why are people taking them off? Crazy! Could you tell me where you purchased that spring part? Thanks again

    I’m doing a 6.0 egr and oil cooler right now, and mine is missing that spring and top to? The truck ran good but had steam and coolant dripping out of the exhaust.

    • @paggre
      @paggre  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow! That's no good. Do you have chocolate milk in the degas bottle? That was a mess when my oil cooler went.

    What gauge is that on top of your fuel filter cap?

    • @paggre
      @paggre  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's a pressure gauge that I got off of Amazon. 0 - 100 psi I think. www.amazon.com/dp/B0C366DKFL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

    I think the next time my truck dies via oil pressure, I may rip it apart? I have a less than 50k on my oil pump and IPR, maybe I will take off the valve covers, redo injector seals, stans, and gasket of valve cover. I think I am covered on the fuel with a newish pump, FICM (via Diesel Tech Ron, RIP), blue spring.

      @paggre  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely. I try to do as much as I can and have time to. I'm thankful for my local mechanic. They have a million mile warranty. They have stood beside it multiple times for me. I've dealt with sooooo many bad shops though.

      Can’t argue with going with powerstroke or Cummins both great trucks I love my 6.7 power stroke I have a 160k happy miles on my baby my brother has 2018 3500 dully Cummins he tows with and that thing now has 400k went through one transmission but I think that was because he use to overload his rig and going up the grapevine in California is like a truck death sentence

    Thad - I'm no expert by any stretch, but I saw somewhere that if the ICP doesn't get to 500 psi., the engine won't start. Probably no help, just info.

    • @paggre
      @paggre  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is true. It needs 500-600psi to idle. Thanks for watching!!
