Just put the BPV kit on myself, Thanks for the video! It was very helpful and easy to understand, as I did just get this car last month and pretty new when it comes to applying mods!
@@SmokieTRW 🤣 yeah mine almost flew off when I checked on it a few days later. I just zip tied it very tight and haven’t had an issue since. Which BOV did you buy?
@@PetrolJuice kia forte gt panda works $5 kit I double checked too but yeah I just didn’t tie it enough, then again I was doing hard pulls so it must of just blew tf away. Suprised it snapped the zip tie tho cuz I still had it on
@@PetrolJuice only lasted a day lol, towards the end of the day I could hear the turbo spooling up louder than usual. Popped the hood cap was gone and so was my zipties. Bought the kit again tho but I’ll make sure to tighten it
The turbo won't stutter recirculation was created to cut down on noise, that's it. The bovs job is to vent the excess boost pressure when you let off the throttle, and the plate closes to prevent turbo stutter, which is where you get the stu stu stu sound from.
I chose not do the BPV but I don't need it with my AEM intake. The turbo spool noise and blow off is super loud now and sounds so good! Fuel economy for my daily 80 mile commute has gone up too.
Its sort of faint, and you have to be in boost in order for it to make the sound. Try pressing the accelerator 100%, letting it ride to 4-5000rpm and letting it go
@@maoinc13 The car comes with a recirculating blow off valve. What you are referring to is a vent to atmosphere blow off valve, which is the doing the same thing he does here. It forces the air back through the air box rather than recirculating it. The reason a venting BOV is louder is because it has more pressure due to a smaller hole and usually has a trumpet on it to make it louder. This mod and a venting BOV are doing the exact same thing
No it wouldn't. This is essentially replicating a vent to atmosphere blow off valve but instead of a dedicated hole + trumpet, it forces the air back through the air box
I just did my own diy version and it sounds sick. People definitely turn their heads but you'd be surprised at how much air pressure comes out of that return hose
So beside trying to get a blow off sound a lil more. Does it help with any performance.. or no. I can hear it a lil as it is. When i slow down with it atock.
In stock form, the car recirculates the air that’s not used from the turbo. My best guess is it wouldn’t hurt performance more than expected, since it came from the factory like that. The best solution to improve performance would be getting a cold air intake. Hope this helps!
I have my cold air intake pipe down to the lower left corner of my bumper so it's getting true cold air into it instead of up where the air box should be pulling in all the hot air from the motor and such. I installed my intake on my 2020 gt up by the motor when I first got it then piped it down lower and it sounded much better in my personal experience.
@@toxic_dim_yt1498 hi! It does not mess with the car at all since the forte GT doesn’t have any sensors for that tube. It is very easy to put back how it was, takes 5 minutes

Just did this, I only hear it when I drive but it’s well worth it, almost bought a BOV

You should buy a BOV bro instead of doing this .
Is the car manual?
@@princesssabado1905 yes it is!
Now that it's not recirculating the pressure, have you noticed any turbo stutter?
Zero turbo stutter or any performance loss. Still runs the same from what I have noticed, just with more fun noises
The turbo won't stutter recirculation was created to cut down on noise, that's it. The bovs job is to vent the excess boost pressure when you let off the throttle, and the plate closes to prevent turbo stutter, which is where you get the stu stu stu sound from.
Will this work on a 2024

So installed this on my Kia forte GT 2023 and I don’t hear anything. I wonder if my ears are bad or I did something wrong

I know this videos 8 months old but have you noticed any difference since release? Any loss of gas mileage, performance, anything like that?
@@NicolasCiminelli nope! Nothing at all but the sound. There’s no sensors where this is connected so it shouldn’t effect performance at all
What size cap is it? Is it 1 inch or 1/2 inch?
I just measure the ID (inside diameter) of the hose that you remove and it’s a 1” cap that is needed.
I bought a 1" rubber table chair cover and it fit beautifully

zero performance gains, strictly only for sound/fun.
If you buy a real BOV yes it will
can this be done to a Kia 2021 gtline ?, got the BPV delete kit just don’t know where it goes
Unfortunately it cant, since the GT Line comes with a naturally aspirated engine, not turbocharged.
If Air is recirculated, then it's not coming in cold, so does that hurt performance??
