I seen Roland Kirk who wrote the song Volunteered Slavery at Baker's Keyboard in Detroit. He played 3 saxes at the same time on one tune. He also played 2 nose flutes at the same time on another tune. What an incredible musician he was :-) Peace
That horn section is kick ass. This is one smoking band all the way around. Great guitar playing by all three performers. That was so good that it brought tears to my eyes.
I feel this music in my spirit. Lifting if not simply wonderful! OMG Susan runs a diverse group of the best. THE BEST! Suzan is the most talented of Alphas. Seem each and every member is a master of their music. In my mind I view Susan as a hybrid of Bonnie, Janice, and BB. As diverse as the Beetles. You think you have heard good. But that band is exceptional! Looking for Answers should be standard for all, especially ill, afflicted and the terminally ill. The song makes it clear - there often is no answer. Yet this exceptional piece brings peace to challege. Beyond belief trying to determine the instrument. Watch the video and low - its Derrick playing his slide. Thought it was an electric violin. Behold Derrick's nearly unbeleivable multi - lingual guitar, no wonder he and Susan are such a powerful team. Love it I'm still llokin' for answers nobody knows. R
boring as per usual drum and rhythm section... Periodically i check in with newer shows and have been bored to death for the last 15yrs. Trucks is boring. Good for him
Susan certainly can’t hang with DT or EJ.There are many female players who can such as Lari Bassilio,Nili Brosh, Nita Straus, & many more.Susan certainly can sing w/ the best of them just can’t play w/ the best of them.Anyone who thinks she can hang w/ elite players is delusional and just doesn’t know much about guitar.
Guthrie Govan? Julian Lange? Matteo Macuso? Brent Mason? There are some serious monsters out there these days man. Doesn’t detract from her overall musicianship at all. Give her a guitar and let her sing and she can entertain on an equal level, but the guitar playing isn’t remotely close.
She's a pro guitar player. So what if she's not a monster technically like the 2 other players here? Her playing is lyrical and very tasteful. If she felt she was out of her element in the slightest, she would have bowed out. Her piece was good. Really, TH-cam nitpicking is insane. These are all pro's.
Eric and the trucks, rock it as always. But the trombone lady at 8:35 owns this song. #imho

My favourite band. So much talent; so much going on on that stage.
It starts with two drummers and goes forever from there.
i was at this show and that leaving trunk / volunteered slavery blew me away. this band absolutely never fails to impress me
Best working band in the bussiness!💯💥

@@robgross8856 to me, she is a perfect combo of Bonnie and Joe Cocker with a touch of brother Gregg!
WHAT A SINGER! Killed it!
Holy Sheets 😮 That's outstanding 😊❤😊
I love how Derek quotes Cornell Dupree at 11:38! 😉 Thanks for sharing!
Tasty solo by Eric Johnson 🤘💟
Dynamite. But still, Auerbachs cover is still 🔥 👌 Kudos to Taj!
Susan has an incredible voice
whoa a Rolabd Kirk song! Knock me over witth a feather
They can do it all! And they knock me out every time I see them!
The vibe really changes when EJ steps up. As usual he's head and shoulders above the rest...who do sound a bit comfortable, it must be said
I’m sorry when Derek joined the group they broke loose for the better .
Who the helll is that WOMAN trombonist?
Someone noticed this exceptional musician: Elizabeth Lea.
And dont forget the singer on the opposite of the stage (dressed black): Alecia Chakour.
*FEMALE trombonist. (We don't say "man trombonist.")
E. Johnson is a great guitar player in his own element! This was NOT in his element!! He struggled at times, as to what to play.
Yes, he needs more interesting backing. This just...chugs, like they're all in the van passing round the third spliff...

Dude your music ear needs an aid if you don't think susan can't go toe to toe with anyone

She is coolness, dont need to be the best guitarplayer....

Why did Susan take a solo? Cmon
Susan can hold her own in any company. Find a version of Just Won’t Burn and become a believer.
Derek rarely gets outstaged but I've seen Susan do it a few times. She's not a novelty with a guitar in her hands.
@@ZChoate I’ve literally never seen that. If you know of a link please post
