    Just did this following your video - thanks for uploading. Really helpful video. Those vents are an absolute nightmare to get out! Lots of water in those compartments - hopefully that was what was causing the water in the back passenger footwell.

    Had to do the exact same thing with my 14 plate focus. Seems to be a very common problem. How Ford have not recalled these vehicles is beyond me

    I'm watching this video while I do mine. I have a little pond in my vent. Can I ask how does the water get in the boot?? Or in the footwell

      I think its just were it sits and then overflows and trickles down through the car

    How does the water get from the voids to the boot area?

  • @SH84NOR
    @SH84NOR ปีที่แล้ว

    Bathroom type sealant? Surely you want something like Tiger Seal.

    History shows resealing the vents isn’t really worth it, as they vibrate loose again over time, as they’re just clipped in.
    Remove the drain plugs and the insulation
    Any water that gets in come straight out and lots of airflow to keep it dry

    Has anyone got any idea what these vents are for they don't seem to lead anywhere

    • @mclaren_media9145
      @mclaren_media9145  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vents like these i think are purely there to allow air pressure to relieve itself if you slam doors etc apart from that completely pointless
