Thank you so much ! This was awesome . I have been buying vessels for 20 yrs but after the shortages dude to the pandemic I want to be able to make them. Can’t wait to try your formula.
Not everyone can teach. You have the touch so I hope you keep at it. Two hints: 1)skip the math by using the tare function on your scale to zero out the weight of the bowl and 2) use an exacto knife to cut that bottom lip of your mold off so you don't have to struggle trying to get over it when it's time to de-mold.
This is awesome! The humor and the education combined. Love it!! I would consider swapping out the white t-shirt but you already know that. 😁 Can’t wait to see what’s next!

I have quite the collection of dry pigments. I can say from my personal experience, I’m always better off just repacking dry pigments from bags into plastic jars with lids. I then tape the manufacturers label to the jar that is it’s new home. I’m done with fine pigment powders in thin baggies. BTW you got lucky with the black pigment as it is most likely magnetite or black iron oxide. Not super staining. Now the ultramarine blues and most of the organic paint making pigments are FAR worse. I won’t even bring this into my house! They stay locked up and used in storage shed!
Hi, in your video at 16:24 right before you added the water you were at 382 grams then the number changed to 421 grams before adding the water is it because the spatula was left in the mix that the weight increased? Thanks in advance.
Hi Jai! Thanks for this video! I used Cement All and black pigment from Direct Colors...every time the vessel comes out charcoal! Yours is beautiful & black. Have you used the pigment from Direct Colors? I'm just curious if the brand you use is more concentrated & that is why your vessel is so dark.
Have you seen my Santa Claus or Pumpkin video? I painted both with acrylic paint and then sealed them. Go to anyone of my videos and read the description you will find the paint I use.
Hi Jai, I love this video it’s extremely helpful for concrete vessels, but I use Hydrostone. I was wondering if you could show how to create a black Hydrostone vessel. I have tried using the Globmarble pigment in the darkest black which works but it leaves my fingers littered in black dust when I remove the vessel from the silicon mold. I’ve even brought the pigment down to 3% and let the vessel dry for a week and still black dust on the surface of the vessel. Please help.

I'm new to this and was wondering.... if the mixture should be 4:1 shouldn't the water be 65 grams? Also, In a different video didn't you use 280 grams of concrete and 70 grams of water for the same vessel? Is the difference due to adding color?
@@briannethomassen215 Are you using Globmarble? I use 3% sometimes and that is super black. 10% is going to weaken the integrity of the vessel. Test it... It might still be ok but I wouldn't do that long term.

Hi, and help, please. I purchased the black globmarble colorant and used less than the recommended amount in my CementAll cast. Upon demolding and also after curing more than 2 weeks, black coloring comes off A LOT on my hands, rags, etc. Have you experienced this?
