    Making concrete candles is tough but making concrete candles without the convenience of having products like Cement All is tougher. Even though I created 2 successful formulas I was never quite happy with them. However, I have a new concrete candle jar formula that is the best of the best for those who don't have access to Cement All.

    Hi, really enjoy your videos and testing. Does one need to use a sealer for the vessels? I can understand when the wax is melted it can discolor the vessel,but doesn't it cool and solidify before that happens. It's just hard to find the proper sealant where I live, that is heat resistant as well.

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. Yes you need a sealant. Either check out my video on sealants or have Earth Safe Finishes shipped to you. If that is too expensive look at neighboring countries to see what works.

    Hi Jai, I'm in the US and looking at using Quickcrete brand cement and sand as well as Dap brand plaster of paris. I can't seem to find any other type of plaster 😕 I'll check back in if you like, I'll test in a candle holder mold as well. Thank you for sharing this!

    Hi! I am not sure the best place to ask this question! I am wondering do you have a video on clean up? I am making a huge mess and I have the silicone bowls but they just are caked with cement now and I live in apartment and I don’t have access to a hose or anything to rinse my bowls out. Please help!!!! I LOVE YOUR VIDS. As soon as I have the $ I am buying your course!

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s so tough to answer on here and I cover it in my course but I basically let my contents harden and crack it off. You could try wiping it off once it’s semi hard or last idea is to use a very very very small amount of release spray in your bowl before mixing. That should help crack it off easily.

    Hi Jai, I really enjoyed this video and have been watching your videos on sealants that can or cannot be used for sealing concrete jars. Would you consider Poly V-7 as a safe sealant for candle vessels? I've been trying to find information on this apart from it being non-flammable and non-toxic but to no avail.

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the love. My first question to you is why are you interested in Poly V7? It's quite expensive. I have never used or tested it but from what I do know it is worth a shot to test out if you have some. Trying calling the company and asking for a sample bottle. Most companies give samples. Let me know how it goes.

    • @janarisalleyne3527
      @janarisalleyne3527 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @upvibecandle Hi, so currently I'm planning on testing out candle making as a small business idea. I'm also from the Caribbean, so Poly V/ Poly V-7 is one of the most common water-based sealants that we have here in our market, and the cost is relatively cheaper than other sealants. In terms of sample products and contacting the companies, it can sometimes be difficult because of international shipping (but I'll definitely keep an eye out). I've also been thinking about importing the sealants, but with the costs and fees applied (custom taxes) at this moment, I'm not too sure. But I'll definitely give Poly V-7 a try and let you know how it goes, thanks again😊

      @upvibecandle  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@janarisalleyne3527 Ok so now I understand. Yes call them up and see if they will send you a sample. It's too expensive to buy for it to fail on you. However, if they won't send you a sample it might be worth trying because it sounds like it will work. Wishing you success.

      I buy mine from Euclids. There is also a store in NYC and Philly that I can buy it from but I can't remember the names. I know you can check out Reynolds. They have multiple locations. Another idea is your local craft store. Hope that helps.

    I'm curious to try this. I wonder what would happen if you do use Cement All instead of concrete? Probably a mess lol but I'm curious.
    Have you tried Let's Resin - Resin Casting Powder?

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am assuming you mean cement and not concrete. Concrete is the final product. If you were to add Cement All to the mix instead of cement it would harden because cement all is a combination of ingredients to make concrete. However, it would defeat the purpose as this video is for those who don't have access to Cement All.
