    Jai, you are just the best. Love your sense of humor, and the way you’re able to teach us new things.
    I’m just starting my candle making journey, and am interested in your course.
    Is it a complete course, or is the $49.99 for a few modules or chapters, & then you have to pay more?
    Let me know, and PS …
    I’m leaning on being a hydro stone gal!

    • @upvibecandle

      You are too kind. Thank you for your lovely comment. To answer your question it's the complete course with 11 modules and there are no additional costs involved. The "Winning Formula" simplifies your learning experience through a straightforward, step-by-step process. This approach not only demonstrates each task but also provides educational insights into the underlying reasons for your actions. In addition, there are bonus materials and of course me. Once you purchase the course you will immediately join my private FB group where I help members in the community. Sometimes members are a little shy so they reach out to me directly via messenger. Either way I am there to help you master the art of concrete and hydrostone jars. I hope that answers your question and I look forward to having you on board.

    This is epic 😎Does the dye effect the dry time for the Hydrostone ?

    • @upvibecandle

      Each technique has different dry times depending on which you use. I didn't find it to be any different then using other coloring products.

    Someone who doesn't like waste either, what do you do with the dye after you are done? And about how long would you let cure until you seal?

    • @upvibecandle

      It's best to use what you need. You can try storing it but it's always best fresh.

    What an entertainer!!
    So wondering if you can keep using the marinade multiple times adding water and more dye as needed? Any thoughts on how deep it penetrates? Thanks.

    • @upvibecandle

      While I don't fully know that answer I would think it will only penetrate to a certain degree. Think of it like painting a wall. You can paint it 2 times or 10 times and the color will be what the color is. Make sense?

      @@upvibecandle Thanks, I make soap dishes not candles so was wondering if they got chipped whether or not the color would show. Meanwhile the other part? Have you done multiples with the same batch of "dip"? I have some Rit coming on Monday and can't wait to play with it.

    How to cure the cement jars

  • @luihort7645

    Jai, I used RIT Dye colors with cement and the purple dye reacts differently from others. It changed the consistency of my cement mix - made it too runny; then during the drying process many tiny bubbles formed at the bottom and top leaving many air pockets/holes. I tested it twice and I got similar results. Have you tried Purple?
    Also tried dunking my concrete candle vessel in a mixture of water (at the recommended temp) and Rit Dye. At first the color looked vibrant, but as it dried the color turned opaque and when handled the color comes off. I'm assuming it needs to be sealed.

    • @upvibecandle

      That is interesting. I bet there is something in the color that is making it react that way. Good to know... Thanks. Yes the color will lock in once you seal it.

    I don't have any litmus strips. can anyone tell me what the PH of the RIT liquid dye is?
    i need to make sure it is neutral for an experiment.

    Is this able to be used on concrete structures that would be outdoors? Does the color run if you put water on it after its dried?

    • @upvibecandle

      I would think it could be but you would need to seal it.

  • @jennifercampuzano1105

    I've always heard that using acrylic paint with the cement weakens the vessel if mixed while making the vessel & could cause issues with using it as a candle vessel. Do you think Rit Dye would do the same?

    • @upvibecandle

      That's not true if you are using best practices. That applies to RD too.

  • @crystalmathews3892

    • @upvibecandle

      Wear gloves. Baby oil sometimes helps or mix sugar with hand lotion to exfoliate it off.

      No. MP isn’t very heat resistant and will start to break down at high temperatures.
