Lucy is always the new player, the kind of person that tries to be a goody two-shoes when at the end they diverge off the path. Maximus is that kind of player that knows the games but wants to experiment, wanting to already diverge themselves off the beaten path when they realize they want to get back on that path when it’s too late. The Ghoul is that Seasoned Veteran Player, the kind of player that doesn’t give a ten shits about the people around him when he makes his decisions. He will get a certain ending no matter what the cost.
Lucy basically represents fallout 3 because her initial goal is basically the same as the fallout 3 main characrer. Max represents new vegas because we all joined the BOS for that power armor. Ghoul represents fallout 4 because of how incredibly OP you are if you get Maxed level. You could argue for previous games though, but I feel fallout 4 scaled incredibly higher than those games.
Okay, but listen, I keep hearing people bitching about the Ghoul not using his one-hit KO trick on Maximus in the shootout, but if you watch the scene-- He's pretty clearly messing with Max. He's having fun with it. Mans is well and truly doin' it for the love of the game.
8:52 As good as this kid's acting was, I thought he was gonna be a reoccurring character... but they killed him off almost immediately, and in the most Tarantino fashion! lol
its intresting how in this show there are characters that are Tarantinoed like that boy and are given backstory family and everything then just die and then their are insignificant characters that would seem to die like Maximuses squire and he gets away scot free as a ghoul

I love that Cooper is leaning into the whole cowboy thing. Human development gets set back by like 300 years, he becomes an immortal zombie and he’s like “screw it, I guess I’ll be a cowboy forever.”
Tbh, PA usage in the post nuke age was underutilised. The thing is much better at carrying shit that deals damage than literally being something that tanks damage or punches hard without a gun. It's supposed to be an on foot Infantry Fighting Vehicle that can carry a shit ton of gear. And the BOS use it like a fucking German Panzer instead.
"Where's my fucking family" was a friggen legendary moment. I'm not familiar with Marty Goggins' work, but he steals the show this season. Absolutely perfect casting.
He's probably surprised that The Brotherhood didn't fix the flaw but there's also a smug arrogance in his expression and the way he says "I guess not." like he's absolutely reveling in the fact he knew something about power armor that The Brotherhood didn't
He got a natural charm perk or something, I mean he was an actor. Really high on perception points with aiming and such Intelligence is mid Endurance gotta be high for a ghoul Mid strength? I like him! Hope we get to see more of his gun action on next season
"endurance gotta be high for a ghoul" - ghouls can regenerate from most wounds (unless its a headshot, decapitation or limb removal) and if one is exposed to radiation he can regain his strength even faster
My mum and dad decided to start watching this, I got a call at like 8pm along the lines of "This was really confusing, we don't know why he looks like that and other people aren't." Without a moments hesitation I lowered my voice to a growl and said "What's the matter smoothskin never seen a ghoul before?" There was a long pause followed with a resounding "No" Bless their hearts, they are trying.
For the record that small pistol he uses is like a mini grenade bullet that can blow through a concrete walk. It’s like a bolt round in a bolt rifle, the weapon of a space marine (WARHAMMER 40k)

@@ltmongaThe ammunition he was holding before loading the gun and shooting at the armor is of the piercing type; perhaps he didn't have this type of ammunition when he fought Maximus; it would make sense for him to have gone after this ammunition after facing Maximus and realizing that the Brotherhood could be in his way.
This is accurate cause i started fo3 and right now am a good person
His secret is he's LITERALLY always on jet
Wdym jet?
@imperiumgrim4717 a drug in the games that slow down time
Jet doesn't do much for ghouls, he's on ultra-jet.
Jets don’t cut it for ghouls, maybe Ultra-jet could do the trick.
That's a very small drop in a very large bucket of drugs.
The yodelling kills me every time lmao
Anyone with over 200+ years worth of experience is someone you don't want to mess with.
Coldest lines in a long time, very great acting
Okay, but listen, I keep hearing people bitching about the Ghoul not using his one-hit KO trick on Maximus in the shootout, but if you watch the scene-- He's pretty clearly messing with Max. He's having fun with it. Mans is well and truly doin' it for the love of the game.
And he didn't have his little armor-penetrating drill shots.

As good as this kid's acting was, I thought he was gonna be a reoccurring character... but they killed him off almost immediately, and in the most Tarantino fashion! lol
its intresting how in this show there are characters that are Tarantinoed like that boy and are given backstory family and everything then just die and then their are insignificant characters that would seem to die like Maximuses squire and he gets away scot free as a ghoul
The dad's still alive, and the implication is that he was a former NCR ranger of some esteem. Plus he is played by an older famous actor. I bet we haven't seen the last of him, especially as they head to New Vegas.
A man livin' in the new world with an old soul... That's how I decribe this guy.
Great description
A soul so old it's been twisted
@AnthonyNelms he comes back around some at the end with Lucy
Thought I gave ya some cherry tomatoes. But you got a hole in your neck.
The guy choking to death: 💀
I bet that outfit makes ya'll feel like a big man don't it?
Well i know cause well I used to wear one back in the day
There was only one problem with it
There was a flaw in the weilding
Just below the chest plate
I wonder if they fixed that in this new model.
Guess not
Makes you wonder why he didn't expose that flaw when fighting Max the first time
@@happybeingmiserable4668 He used another flaw, cutting a miscellaneous hydraulic tube probably powering the armour.
@happybeingmiserable4668 yes I agree to what @thememays3285 commented. I believe he exposed that flaw before this situation where it's kill or b killed
@@happybeingmiserable4668 More than likely because he didn't have the ammunition, probably got it from the "govermint" station.
@@happybeingmiserable4668it’s pretty clear that he realized it’s some green horn recruit in the armour. Mostly toying with him. Didn’t nearly get down to business like he did with the squad
The Ghoul is that one player who's played through every fallout game 80+ times, maxed out their character, completed every sidequest, and did basically everything
he even modded in a ghoul skin.
4:56 sorry WHAT????
the world worst censor ever known to mankind
"You gotta be fucking kidding me"
You heard the man
You gotta be fucking kidding me ❌
You gotta be fucking me ✅
That's what this video says but the actual show says what I typed.
Walton Ghoulgins
The way they showed VATS without actually showing VATS just solidifies this shows greatness!!!!!
Their interpretation of V.A.T.S. of simply slowing things down is perfect.
Like when the ghoul takes out the guy on the balcony with the rifle in fily
i genuinely feel like goggins played this role the way kilmer played holiday in tombstone its just unforgettable man, the one liners are especially in line!
I love that Cooper is leaning into the whole cowboy thing. Human development gets set back by like 300 years, he becomes an immortal zombie and he’s like “screw it, I guess I’ll be a cowboy forever.”
*throws caps in the air*
“FOR THE TOMATA’S!”
All these power armors moving around like they ain't got no fusion core in them
Because they didn't use cgi, those are actors actually wearing giant suit of armor.
You would walk slowly too.
I understood that I was speaking from nostalgia
@@justblueboy2939 i'm deeply found of that
Tbh, PA usage in the post nuke age was underutilised. The thing is much better at carrying shit that deals damage than literally being something that tanks damage or punches hard without a gun.
It's supposed to be an on foot Infantry Fighting Vehicle that can carry a shit ton of gear.
And the BOS use it like a fucking German Panzer instead.
I want danny trejo to reprise his role as raul and the 2 to meet up in new vegas
The series is 50 year after vegas
@@yusuprifan6008 yeah, Raul then either cannoically settled down and met another ghoul or became a gunslinger in a sombrero
@@yusuprifan6008 Isn't this sets 15 years after????
this series sets in 2296, but NV is sets in 2281.
@@yusuprifan6008 15 years. Not 50.
Trejo Is perfect for a role in this.
Cooper and Hancock would be a hell of duo
Man, the new RDR Undead Nightmare looks SICK!!!
Ma man maxed out his charisma
"Where's my fucking family" was a friggen legendary moment.
I'm not familiar with Marty Goggins' work, but he steals the show this season. Absolutely perfect casting.
His name is Walton not Marty
The face he has after "Toruring" and he just drops her... top notch fallout. Thankyou.
“Weeeeeeelllll maybe not, but I’m gon make maself welcome”
Absolutely flawless
I just love the: “you gotta be f***ing kidding me”
😂I love the "guess not" while chuckling, hes kinda surprised he killed that dude in 1 shot 😂
I think he was 50/50 on the "Did they fix that welding problem?" 🤔. If they didn't... Nice😈, if they did... F*ck🤬.
He's probably surprised that The Brotherhood didn't fix the flaw but there's also a smug arrogance in his expression and the way he says "I guess not." like he's absolutely reveling in the fact he knew something about power armor that The Brotherhood didn't
11:46😂😂 just had to put him in biting off that fork in the end.
He’s brilliant. Needs to get an award.
The Man with No Name meets Mad Max Rockatansky, with a tad of Roland Deschain thrown in good measure, and with that you have The Ghoul!
See now, you get
It.
Yes!!!
Also a bit of buster scruggs
@@derwinkuipers2005 Very Good one, he also like John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart, as well a tad of Roy Rogers before the bombs fell!
1:02 You know what they say. 11:25 “War never changes.”
Walton is fucking so badass. Most underrated actor in a long ass time.
“I would offer you one of these cherries but you got a hole in yo neck”🤣
I really really want a reference to Mysterious Stranger somewhere in this series
Me too, I just wanna hear the music somewhere at least lol
He got a natural charm perk or something, I mean he was an actor.
Really high on perception points with aiming and such
Intelligence is mid
Endurance gotta be high for a ghoul
Mid strength?
I like him! Hope we get to see more of his gun action on next season
"endurance gotta be high for a ghoul" - ghouls can regenerate from most wounds (unless its a headshot, decapitation or limb removal) and if one is exposed to radiation he can regain his strength even faster
My mum and dad decided to start watching this, I got a call at like 8pm along the lines of "This was really confusing, we don't know why he looks like that and other people aren't." Without a moments hesitation I lowered my voice to a growl and said "What's the matter smoothskin never seen a ghoul before?"
There was a long pause followed with a resounding "No"
Bless their hearts, they are trying.
I just realized, does the show actually explain how ghouls happen?
@@arolurker3511 Coop glosses over it real quick while he's dragging Lucy around, but no they do not really go into detail over it.
Now i wish i watched it with you
damn that was cringy

I'm glad Lucy and The ghouls are a travelling duo now, a seasoned badass with an up and coming badass
My favorite part is when he gets shot in the back and is like "God dammit, lemme finish my tomatoes -"
I really hope to see more of lucy and the ghoul next season 🙏
For the record that small pistol he uses is like a mini grenade bullet that can blow through a concrete walk. It’s like a bolt round in a bolt rifle, the weapon of a space marine (WARHAMMER 40k)
😮
His accent is my favorite
one thing i havent seen people talking about is how badass his theme is, it gives me chills when it plays
Vault-Tec turned this man into a marketable plushie, a fate worse than ghoulification
“Best of the Ghoul”. In other words, every damn scene 😍🍿
“i would share these tomatoes but… you got a hole in your neck” (spits out part of the tomato)
admit it were all the ghoul once we become op as hell
4:01 For the tomatoes 😂
‘’I’d offer you one of these cherry tomatoes but, you got a hole in yo neck.’’ The Ghoul after a snack.
3:07
I love this! The perfect amount of realism and fantasy.
I used to wear one of those things but there is a flaw in the welding just below the chest plate i wonder if they fix one of those things BANG. I guess not
weird continuity issue tho is that the Ghoul doesn’t shoot Maximus in that secret spot in the armor after the whole massacre in Filly
Furthermore, it became clear that he was practically playing with Maximus in Filly after realizing how inexperienced he was.
Bro missed the Ghoul's best line. The RPG player's Golden Rule: "Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time"
Reminds me of the man in black from westworld.
Same showrunner
Same dark gray morality, similar scary cowboy vibe.
I agree! Damn! Now I just want Ed Harris to appear in the fallout universe
This guy is just my New Vegas character every playthrough lol
Ghoul is how I imagine Arthur Morgan to be if there was an Undead Nightmare 2
The Ghoul is awesome. Kudos to the producer and director for adding a Western gunslinger element into the Fallout tv series
I loved how this scene was so much like the shootout in Django Unchained, all while Goggins plays in both Django and Fallout.
Why do I find his character so attractive.
Smarm, confidence and is obviously good at what he does.
Not to mention the "cool, slick bad boy" appeal
It’s that 7 charisma talkin
@@chief5457when your charisma stat is so leveled up it broke the 4th wall and rizzed up the viewer
Because you cant smell him. lol
The ghoul: You drive that thing like a fucking Shopping cart.
he has hundreds of years of experience, cant blame him for having such skills
I think he is in love with the word "well".
Jesus, he really paused and ate cherry tomatoes to restore HP
The Ghoul reminds of The Man in Black (William) from West World. His clothing, skill, and demeanor.
I've thought the same. They would see each other eye to eye.
