- Crazy how a lot of the videos on youtube recommend trapping him behind the door when it is very very very hard to even get him there fuck that method. Umbrella just makes this fight a breeze. hardest thing is finding time to heal or gain more emblems.
Wait for him to charge or when he is close then hold R2 then after he hits a couple of times press R1.
Jump back in a circle around the room a few times to empty your posture.
Repeat.
You have your ressurection too if you die which is a good chance to refill emblems and health. - เกม

I have full 999 emblems. I have full of money also :) in plenty of bags.
Go to gun fort, and stealth kill the feather coated enemies, just around the idol not too far back. Great emblem farm

At some point he hits me hard enough to stun me (and then of course he rocks me during the stun) even with the umbrella out. Any suggestions?

I was trying with another method that got me close to winning a couple of times but this one, as soon as you get his move set, this method works perfectly (I had less spirit emblems in the beginning, I had 16+5, and then in 2nd phase again +5, they were more than enough)
If you're having a hard time positioning yourself and Owl using the Mist Raven (I personally found it temperamental asf), try dodging out of the corner (while locking on to him) during any of Owl's charge attacks and then stun him with a firecracker from behind. While he's stunned you have a couple of seconds to turn off lock and position your camera between Owl and the door. Then start hacking away. While I didn't try this (but would love to hear if it works), you might be able to firecracker Owl at the beginning of the second phase to avoid any messiness that can happen from having to lock onto owl for the first deathblow. Hope this helps.
Its something that works, and a good strat, but i got another method
I died to him like 30times or so, but eventually it just clicks and you ace him.
Just keep trying and eventually you can kill him in 3min

Never seen this method, it's GREAT
Not sure what patch you were running but it barely works on mine. He almost always knocks you out of the umbrella shield by doing massive combos that rapidly deplete your stamina leaving you open to a literal one hit death. He also jumps back alot more avoiding almost all counter attacks with it apart from a few movies.
No new patches since I did this, takes a little practice with the backwards jumping, always be jumping back after each umbrella attack.

I used this umbrella against headless and schimen, without divine confetti, as I kept wasting them.
Using it as it sizzles and projected force upon them.
Pretty good stuff we have in hand!

I don't know if it's just my controller or if there was an update to the game but this strategy doesn't work anymore. Owl's combos break the umbrella and your posture so the trick is pretty useless. His sweeping attack goes right under the umbrella and takes off a huge chunk of your life even if you have the umbrella open. The attack will take off life, cause you to stumble and take off your umbrella so you have to use more spirit emblems to restart the trick

I don't know how you're using Projected Force without using up a Spirit Emblem, For me it takes one to use the umbrella and one for projected force, I don't have enough to beat him even with using ceremonial tonto. I can only get him down to half on his second phase.

20 mins 20 secs I think. Tells you all the buttons you need to press. You should follow the guide from the beginning it is the most indepth guide and will make everything as easy as possible.
What are you doing to attack him? Is that the umbrella being used to hit him? I don’t know hot to do that

Projected Force ignores buffs
i think they nerfed this attack my attack power is 7 and it really doesn't do that much damage.
I started this at probably 8 pm ended at 230 am 4 hours of pain and this method only helped me a little bit as he kept doing fuck shit but thankfully I somewhat adapted to his move set and beat the shit outta him
I just went in thinking I would practice this technique ended up eating the rice and finished him off first try..... barely

Think I use the umbrella too but you can cheese the first phase with the axe. It's slightly easier cause bigger arena.

@@thegreatalta Im just doing 2 playthroughs save back up for the first 3 then new game plus for the forth. Dont really know all their names but its the perfect order for platjnum.
@@thegreatalta you keep going on about what endings am I doing and what order lol how can I answer that when I am doing them all? If you want the order just look at powerpyx guide or psn profiles guide they tell you how to successfully do all 4 endings in 2 playthrough. For me to describe it wil, take for ever its in the this guide just havent done it yet 🤣🤣😅😅
