First phase: Jump over the doors and statues till Emma gets stuck behind either door. it is very easy to do this find a safe place and heal if you get hit too much.
when she does a whoosh up attack only that is when you press R1. have your back slighty away from the door behind. take it slow.
Phase 2: Do the exact same for Isshin get him stuck behind the doors. when he is stuck have your back a few inches away from the door behind and be in the corner.
Attack only after the red Kanji symbol appears (for timing watch the video). If you attack any other time except for after the red symbol dissapears he will leave the door frame. If this happens jump over the doors again to get him stuck again. WHEN HE HAS NO HEALTH DO NOT DO THE FINISHING BLOW YET.
Phase 3: use all your items in the exact order I have them in at the start of the video. (Fire gourd is the only reason this works) after you use all your items have the axe ready fire or lazulite. Come out the door frame and do the finishing blow. SPAM R2 R1, R1, R1. Over and over till he is dead.
Keep him in the door frame to make it easier and so he can't get away.
If he leaves the door frame chase him and keep spamming the combo.
If you are mid combo and he moves stop and chase him again.
If you die ressurect and start the combo again. - เกม
Thank you soooooo much for this. I would have NEVER been able to beat these two bosses without this video. I suck and chose the “bad” ending by mistake but it probably was a good thing after all as I wouldn’t have been able beat the game any other way. I subscribed for your effort.

Honestly Axe OP. Almost as broken as mage in demons souls. Funny thing is non of the boss guides on youtube ever use it. The moment i realised you are an invincible god the moment the animation starts I tried to exploit that for everything.

I think you can't get blue weapons with shura ending "if it's your first playthrough" but that's totally doable with regular fire axe.

I chose this ending for "Man Without Equal" trophy.
First game I chose the first ending "Immortal Severance" and continued without saving after I beat Sword Saint - Isshin Ashina, in NG2+. It worked.

I can confirm this cheese works in 2024 as of today, it took me two try’s to get isshin in the right position cause he tended to drift but the main point is to focus on the wall and make sure he stays there cause the first time trying this method Emma killed me cause I got greedy then the second time Emma was a piece of cake cause I kept her in the corner between knight and door and didn’t even have to go her health bar cause she takes a lot of stagger just attack and move back after she makes an attack she might parry but still you can actually stagger her faster then taking her health, isshin you have to go for health wait for the three combo when on the third attack the symbol shows up like in the vid and attack and once I got first death blow I popped a blue sugar and rice to keep my health up and just wailed on him with the axe too and bam done, also remember this was also NG+ for me
Somehow soemtimes it works great but sometimes they keep getting out with their attacks. but still it worked after a few hours, thanks a lot, if this video wasn't existing id have given up on that platinum

The easiest cheese: just block her inside the door, which is easy, as you can point her to the right of the map and afterwards you hide behind the door. After this, just spam Floating Passage on her (as she's stuck behind the door), you can have lock on, it will work flawless.

@@Blkcoco I don't have the game anymore, but it should work quite easliy if you try, just wait for her Thrust attack when you sit behind the door, then you can go and block her there and spam Floating Passage.

Dude ♥ thank you very much for this guide ^^ I was on NG+ 3 and to be honest i was getting so tired of the input reading and input eating this game does XD I knew the axe was broken but it seems I never could use it to semi stun lock bosses (I tried tho)

Nvm found a way when your fighting isshin if he dose not attack use a fistful ash and it stinks him long enough for two hits if you time it right it also stuns Emma for 3
Its a good strat but I would recommend that you use ichimonji double as it would save a little bit of time
(Also use peletts with the rice, it helps a lot)
Pellets lasts like 5 seconds it's barely enough time. Does the ichimonji technique stop Ishiin from leaving the door cause I found if you hit any other time except after the red kanji symbol disappears he leaves the door.
Yeah I was wrong with the first part, pellets don't stack with rice, but depending on your timing with the double, it should work
@@Nonsensical_Stuff I never found a use for Ichimonji. I didn't even fight a single boss the intended way. I just cheesed all of them and made up most of these strats myself or combined excisting strats. This strat was all me so ichimonji never crossed my mind because of how bad i found it personally. The fire gourd was the thing that makes this strat possible without you always die.

What is the combo you afe doing on isshin phase two ? Divine confetti and normal r2 azure ac ?
Its R2, R1, R1, R1 repeat till dead chase him if he comes out the door frame. Spam the combo.
On another note did you ever try to use the Phoenix umbrella with projected force on his 3rd phase and just keep him stuck in that door/corner?

Try to have isshin stuck on the left side at the door, otherwise he can perform a sidestep to get him out from behind the door. His left side needs to be at the wall, because his sidestep only works in that direction.

Doesn't work on Isshin anymore. He just walks out after 30 seconds.
I just tested it in NG+ and it worked. However, it only worked on the left door wing like in the video; on the right one, he also walked out.
100% works just gotta use the left door.
Worked perfect for NG+3.

I have a guide for owl too on the channel. He doesn't quite work the same way but he is easier.

This works really well on Emma and isshin phase 1. Sadly I don't have fire gourd, only dousing powder but he doesn't allow me to hit him 3 times...
Isshin only works on the left emma works on both

FYI anybody trying this. Its patched. She walks around the doors now. When she trys her Ashina cross it brings her out enough that she gets around the door and fight resumes as normal.
It should not be patched, you have to attack exactly when I attack in the video and stand where I stand.
I know it is not patched cause I get comments every day telling me it worked for them.
There is an attack she does where her sword wooshes diagonally upwards. That is the only attack you should press R1 after. Any other and she will leave the door frame. Guide is in part 20 of my platinum trophy guide on the channel or the description of this video. FromSoftware have not touched this game since I made this video. So it is not patched.
@@Retro471 I'll give it another go later on. Even when I don't attack she comes around the door and boxes me in. I'll give it another go tho. Tried doing it the long way and fighting but she reacts differently than she does for youtubers lol.

He does if you watch the platinum trophy guide it tells you what to do.
You have to hit isshin just after the Kanji symbol dissapears for it to work hence why it takes 8 minutes. But please dont say this is bullshit when its not my channel is litterally here to make these games as easy as possible.
Watch part 20 of the platinum trophy guide on my channel for the exact timing of when to hit him.

Thanks for the Video, just got it with your help today but it took a few tries, cause isshin wanted to leave his place behind the door. I think it depends a lot on how your position is. When i noticed that he tries to get out, i jumped one ore two steps back, so his angle changed a bit and he went kindly back to his place. Hopefully you understand what I mean. 😀
Best strategy i have seen for this fight but when i trap isshin he just moves to the side,do u have any advice to recommend so he doesn't move🤔

Ishiin moves if you hit him any time other than right after his perilous attacks (red Kanji symbol.)

Question about this, once you get them stuck behind the door are you holding back while they attack or are you just standing still as far back as possible? I do notice you step forward to get them to attack from time to time. Assuming just have to practice this to get the feel for it?
I step back as far as I can at first then tap forward the tinyiest bit right after and if they dont attack I baby step forward till they do.
You just need to be far enough back so they cant hit you.

This doesn't seem reliable at all. Emma can get around the door sometimes and getting Isshin into position is not easy when he's cutting you up.

Legit as hell, thankyou... I didn't use my sticky rice ball or rice at all, I just got scared and kept laying down the axe with no sword slashes in between. He got me with one slash, halved my vitality, and boom I got him
