Peroxide will remove the burn also lay butcher paper on the press and on your garment. I used card stock in between my shirt, it’s thicker and protects the shirt front and back. Great job I love your channel.

First off love your videos 🎀 I use a Breyer roller to push the sub spray into the fabric. I also use like a fine mist as to not soak but to eventually apply the sub spray then I let dry either overnight or just by placing the shirt on the press without closing it just so the heat from the top plate will help speed up the drying. That way I don’t get that burn on my fabric. I find this method works best for me hopefully it will work for someone else.🎀

Good job! But I use Dyepress Sublimation Spray, it turned Yellow because you used too much spray and you should break down the spray a little more with more water it was too concentrated. It is supposed to be sprayed lightly not saturated, saturated but not too wet. just a tip to get the best results. And yes get a spray bottle that has 2 different spray settings and spray across stop go across again below where you sprayed and continue until you finish the area , not up and down or s. I know it says spray twice but I only spray once. Better to have too little than too much because you can always add more. Too much spray yellows it because of the concentration, trial and error we learn from our mistakes.p.s too much spray and saturation is what is making your paper stick. Too wet on the front and was not thoroughly dry on your last shirt. Hope this helps!

I've not used any of the sprays, but when I do my shirts I have a Teflon sheet on the bottom plate, then my shirt (With copy paper inside), then lay my design on the shirt, copy paper on top of that, and then Teflon on top of that then press. I am not sure if Butcher paper works the same as parchment which is what I started out using, but a friend who's been doing this longer than I have let me know when we were talking about my colors not coming out as bright, I knew they'd not be extremely bright because I've yet to find 100% poly, but my shirts at the least so far are 50% with a few 65%, but he let me know that parchment paper does not allow heat through(which after his explanation of using it to bake with made total sense) and to only use Teflon. with copy paper in between. I don't think he even covers his with the copy paper he just puts the sheet in between his shirts. But I didn't want to change it. Mine have been coming out so much better. and with the Teflon on the bottom plate, my shirts never stick and I do both sides almost every time.
Also, Dollar Tree sells some nice spray bottles :) Sometimes they're in the hair/makeup aisle (smaller ones) and the larger ones are over in the cleaning aisle usually where the brooms and mops are I've been buying from both isles for years every now and then I get a large one that is jacked up, will work for a week or two then the handle you pull to spray will break but it's so far and few in between that I just chuck it in the trash and go up to the DT and grab another :D
Anyone have any good sites to buy in bulk/wholesale for the White Shirts though? We have a hard time finding any local that is even 50/50 but we are just starting out, and funds are sparse so trying to find where we can get anywhere between 50 to 150 multiple sizes for under $3 a shirt (going off total price)

Hi Katrina! I just recently found your videos and I really love how informative and generous you are sharing what you know. I have seen a couple of videos where cotton was successfully sublimated. One is by the dye press lady where she put a thin silicone mat inside the tshirt before spraying the poly-t and that protected the back of the tshirt really well. Also you need one of those continuous spray bottles for an even distribution of the poly-t. I've seen another video where a rolling brayer was used to press the poly-t into the fibers of the tshirt after spraying. I hope these tips can help if you ever decide to try sublimating on cotton again.

Hi Katrina. Thanks for the great video & for being so honest and transparent. I love the name of your channel too. I am a newbie here still in the learning stage. I have tried sublimating on 100% cotton tees, but they fade upon badly upon laundering. I tried 400 degrees F for 60 secs as most recommend, but burnt a hole right thu the shirt. I am now going to try lowering the temp to 385 degrees F. Also, when de-sizing with the 50/50 peroxide solution, how long do I press it for ? Any other advice would be most appreciated. God bless !

Hmmmmm I wonder. But you would have to put something thick enough in between not to bleed through. I wouldn’t try it though.
