I used to use an Epson ET-2550 th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 , an early model of the ink tank style. It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.
Thank you for sharing your tips , tricks and mistakes … we are all in this together and need to learn together to get through our mistakes … I felt I was the only one messing up … I love all your tutorials 🥰 Thank you 🙏🫶
Thank you... Not many on here uses the Silhouette cutter... I have learned that DTF hack for dark shirts and I uses 100% cotton too majority of the time... I appreciate the transparency as I made that mistake of not putting of the clear offset vinyl on first... I actually use my Silhouette to cut out the images on the DTF vinyl, glossy or matte (HTV Ront) Brand
Great video. Love how you go into detail. You stated at the beginning you were going to do the image without the white and watching the shirt ending I appreciate you doing that so we could see what happens when you do not do the white background.
Thank you for clearing things up for me after 49 different other videos that I watched about sublimating on a dark shirt.Thank you for let me know about the white backing that I need. It took me 47 different videos from other people for someone to just say that. So many other videos skip over crucial details.
I love how you kept the bloopers in for instructional purposes. I have the Sawgrass 1000 still in the box. Let me get off my butt. You are inspirational 💐
Thanks for showing the mistake, I just had the same exact problems with my Epson Wf 7710 from the dtf paper not going through to pressing an all black image lol. I ended up using the rear paper tray and it went right through. Glad to see I'm not the only one who had this happen and there's still hope.
im only just starting out aka getting all my supplies together and you have honestly made it sooo much less scary, and i cant wait to start 1s everything arrives
So glad I have been able to help you. Nothing to be scared of. Start where you can and it will get easier each day. I had to start my very first day as well.
Thank you so much for this video. I too have an sg500 and have been playing around with the clear film hack. I did not know that you had to create the white backing for the hack to work on black cotton T-shirts. Now I’m excited to play with my sg500 again!!!!😀
Gm Hun I love your videos by the way, I wanted to tell you that I also have the Epson 7710 and it does print up to 13x19 you do not have to cut your dtf film A3 is the last setting on your cassette tray for 13x19🥰
Hi thx for the video. So for the white shirt it makes sense to do it this way. However, for the dark shirt, as we need to have a white vinyl layer first, is the dtf result different from a sublimation one done with regular sublimation paper ?
thanks for be willing to make mistakes that others can learn from! where do you get the white backing from? thanks very informative! do I need cricket to cut out white & design? again blessings!
you can also scratch the side and the one that shows a scratch is the side to print on. Nice Hack!! use white glitter HTV and is sharper image. Usa Tacky spray on shiny side and put full size paper on back. paper can be reused. This hack works well. We just printed a HTV, DTF, and Rhinestone shirt.
Awesome tutorial. You truly make things easy to understand. I fold over the corners of the film just a little bit. Cant remember what video I saw but the youtuber did this has worked great for me. There was no need to add tape and copy paper behind film in my Epson printer, but I also have one that feeds from the rear instead of the bottom of the printer.
I'm late in the game but going to order my films and powder right now. I've got the same sublimation ricoh printer and epson. Thanks for the video. You've got a new subscriber ❤❤❤❤
OMG! I feel so stupid! 😂 I’ve been doing this but I just really do not like seeing the white outline from the offset. It never occurred to me to just duplicate and turn my image white! Doing this next time! ❤
Hey, are the results the same as using printable vinyl??? I use printable vinyl, like Easy Subli, or Cricut printable vinyl, and I think it turns out great on light or dark t-shirts 100% cotton. I'm curious what makes this other better? Thanks!!!!
I also have a Epson sc I tried to do a sublimation print with it but it wasn’t DTF film it was a hack using a different kind of film and the ink smeared and some spots didn’t adhere the ink and I did see roller lines from the printer did you have that problem with your Epson sc using the proper film. If so did you find away to correct the issue?
Girl, I love your videos. They are very informative. I'm so glad that you left the bloopers in. I have used the DTF hack and made the same mistake. I love the feel also. Keep up the great work!
Thank u for all ur great videos! hoping you can help I'm having issues that after I press my image on the shirt, it changes the color for example the pink color of my design turns brown 🤷♀️ do u have an idea of what I'm doing wrong?
Loved your video.... haven't tried this yet ....do you use any special equipment while you're using the dtf powder? I saw some comments on other videos that the curing xan ve toxic. Just wanted your thoughts? Thanks again.
So when doing a dark shirt. Do you just tack down the white htv then press the transfer on top and still cold peel? Also is your pressure light, medium, or heavy? Thank you!!❤
The HTV ront does the pressure I don’t choose it but if I were doing a regular heat press I would do medium pressure. I redid it with vinyl here th-cam.com/users/shorts7uV_jMJ5QfM?feature=share
Wow I love this! I have a couple questions… I noticed you did not put butcher paper ( or any paper) o it when you first pressed it. I saw you used the Teflon sheet on he second press. Do I net need to cover it on a regular heatpress? Also what do you think the pressure should be on a regular press? Thanks
Thank you for a great video. Before you trash the black shirt, is it possible to lay white vinyl over the sublimated image and then redo? If you try, I'd be interested to see what you think. Thanks again
Question for you, your sublimated image from your Sawgrass looks just like mine when I’ve printed them. But your other image that you printed out on your Epson looked much brighter and vibrant. Is this due to the screen or did it look like that in person? (Meaning did you notice a difference in person between the two? (I’m just asking because Id like my images to look like your Epson image that you printed. lol That one looked so much more vibrant and bold!! Beautiful!
dancin in in my chair. lol. i got the film to load using matte presentation paper setting. but my ink smudged. How do you keep the ink from smudging? THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP. Wish I knew how to send you a picture. I could not have done this without your help. also I used the heat gun to melt the powder and it works marvelously.
Hi Katrina! Did you ever try the sublimation with DTF on the white vinyl? I’ve been dying to b know if the DTF hack can be pressed onto white HTV. Will you show in another video please?
Thank you for the video question I tried with the DTF film with my eco 8500 but it smeared with the rollers. I have a WF 7710 will,I need to take out the rollers for the heck to work?

I appreciate your not afraid to show your mistakes. I noticed u said press at 345 but the press was set at 375. Keep up the great videos
That was when I was warming it up I lowered the temp bc you’re pressing the film doesn’t have to be that high

Omg, I’m RUNNING straight to Amazon to but DTF paper and powder. Thank you for the tips and tricks. I learned a lot!
Just to confirm, or maybe I understand incorrectly. Can I not use these films with an ink jet printer?
my video was done with sublimation ink but others have done it with inkjet as well. i will be doing a video on that as well
Thanks for sharing!!! I learn something new from you each time.
I'm so glad! You’re very welcome.

Wow so sorry about that. I actually created a short that actually shows me doing it on the white vinyl.

Is the powder used only if you use 100% cotton shirts?
@@sylvianchambers8055 you use the dtf powder whenever you’re doing DTF on any fabric

Yes stop playing. Get that money! I need the 1000 it’s better than the sg500
My daughter has sawgrass printer. I believe you will love it.
Beautiful colors. You did a good job!
Hey I know how you feel. We can do this lol 🤣😅
Love your shirt and videos. Thank you 💘😊
Hi I love it I didn't look like it's too much work for me. It would be my first time doing this thank you

Great tutorial! Love how bright the image came out on the white shirt!
Thanks I redid it on the black with the vinyl worked great. These colors are popping with the Wala DTF film!
thank you !! My favorite technique and the walla DTF sheets is a game changer !!!
❤❤I had to watch this a few times to understand that dark garment but I'm glad I did cause I was getting ready to buy something I didn't need 😍❣️❣️
I don't subscribe to many channels, but love your approach!
Thank yoi. Question do you not order gang sheets at all and print all of your inages?

Love the hugs and kisses. I wish the other one worked. Both are beautiful designs. And thank you good sharing.
I posted a short yesterday and showed how I made it work. th-cam.com/users/shorts7uV_jMJ5QfM?feature=share

I enjoyed watching you for the first time I learned a lot from you.
That was a smart ideal I would have never thought to do that
Hi thx for the video. So for the white shirt it makes sense to do it this way. However, for the dark shirt, as we need to have a white vinyl layer first, is the dtf result different from a sublimation one done with regular sublimation paper ?
So the sublimation ink will transfer the the white vinyl backing ok
Great tutorial my question is what do you use for the white background on dark colors? Do you mirror your image?
Thank you
I wanted to ask the same question
Beautiful love how beautiful the colors are 🤗
Thanks so much 😊
The white background are you using htv and pressing the image on that?
Hi 👋🏽 ❤ what printer are you using ? Also did u change to software & are you using sublimation ink or regular ink?
thanks for be willing to make mistakes that others can learn from! where do you get the white backing from? thanks very informative! do I need cricket to cut out white & design? again blessings!
Have you tried putting the white Vinyl on top of the print that you made the error on 25:46 and then putting the print back on, if that would work.
you can also scratch the side and the one that shows a scratch is the side to print on. Nice Hack!! use white glitter HTV and is sharper image.

We just printed a HTV, DTF, and Rhinestone shirt.
If you use the white glitter htv as the bottom layer, then you don’t need the dtf paper or the powder do you?
@@irenegarcia118 you would no need them. Glitter sublimates very well.

Thanks for showing the fail as well as the success.. It encourages the rest of us to keep trying, even if we don't get it right the first time! :)
Hi Katrina. I have the same printer and I used the back feed instead of loading and I didn’t need to add tape. ❤❤❤❤
Yes thanks I was told to try the back
what paper setting did you use for the workforce printer?
TY for your sharing your hack
Premium matte
I love your energy! I love seeing creators that look like me in the crafting space! I just bought my first heat press! 🥹💖
Awesome! Thank you! First heatpress yay so exciting.
@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 yes! The HTVRONT! I saw your review and it was love at first sight 😍
Amazing video. For the dark shirt how would you print on white background? The image would not be png? New to this. thank you!
I have a short video please look under shorts. But id you are using the sublimation Jack you need to add video vinyl
Thank you for showing/sharing, did you ever re-do the blk using white vinyl background? I'd really would like to know how that went!
Awesome work as usual! Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome
Good job. Excellent video you teach very well
Would this hack work on other surfaces like dollar tree mugs?
Katrina If I have a inkjet printer regular ink, can I use sublimation paper to print images Thanks
No you need sublimation ink
Hello! I am loving your shirt!! You are so inspiring! I am ready to start making shirts again!
You aren't late at all. I'm feeling like I'm so late I'm last to learn any of this, it's all still new to me.

Love this! Thank you for showing the white backing hack! ❤
Yes I have a video in my shorts that shows it in full
so you used white htv lay it down then put the dtf film that was cured on top of that? AWESOME VIDEO BTW!!
Hi Katrina love your videos , I'm getting better by the day.
Fantastic! Congrats!
How long do you wait before you peel?
i got a question do you need a white toner to put on for colors without the white inyl

Did you print it with sublimation ink?
How does the image look after washing and drying? Is it still vibrant?
Thank you! I’m a beginner and you are my mentor ❤
You got this!
I have to agree with you. She's my go to.
gonna try it today so excited. Using my sublimation printer
Good video thanks looks good so do you use regular white htv for dark shirts
This is a hack for the DTF.....so yes with this method
For Sawgrass do I have to change any settings ? Even with tape i can’t get it to print .
Awesome white.
So? How long do you think the shirt with the vinyl backing will last
It’s been washed 3 times so far so far so good
Ok sounds good
Thank you for taking the time to respond

This is excellent! However, please use the necessary protective gear. It is now being disclosed by DTF preferably, the powder is causing cancer
So excited to see this!!
So the powder that you dumped off the image is that still usable?
Yes for sure
I did the same thing on the black, I’m going to try my image on the white background 💃🏾
About to upload new video with the new results

I’m going to post it by tomorrow I have seen it done once so it should work
I may have a dumb question but is it just plain white vinyl you use or a certain kind?
How many washing will it last through please.
hey can i use my epson L8050 for this hack
Time to get pressing! Thank you so much for putting out great content.
Absolutely gorgeous I love it , where can I find that kind of r shirt if you can please let me know
can this be done with the epson eco tank
love the DTF hack I have to try it.
Thank you for the video question I tried with the DTF film with my eco 8500 but it smeared with the rollers. I have a WF 7710 will,I need to take out the rollers for the heck to work?
I didn’t remove any rollers in my 7710
what setting do you have your 7710/7720 mine are not coming out right, the photo when pressed on to a dark or white shirt look like melted sugar.
If you put that Blessed design on top of white glitter HTV, I bet it would be gorgeous!
Have you done a wash yet on the white shirt? Did the colors fade like a normal cotton shirt does with sublimation?
Awesome been searching for how to do on dark colors. But I am confuse how long do we have to press the white vinyl and then when we put the dtf film with the image how long to press that. And second if we put it for the sublimation timing will that melt the white vinyl.
Yessssss I love doing this hack its a game changer for me until I'm able to upgrade, I use the photo setting and it put my film sheet with no problems and I don't get any roller marks
