What are your thoughts on the Tab S6? A few other things that I didn’t take the time to mention: The Face ID is crazy fast, in display fingerprint reader works fine, not great though, the cameras are good if you need them in a pinch, 15W charger is included in the box, the positioning of the power/volume buttons is annoying sometimes (I always hit the power button by accident), I am able to use the trackpad/mouse in mobile games that don’t even have mouse support, and so much more to say about this great tablet! I'll add to this comment if people have further questions.
I really like the tab S6 and your video just confirmed that I'm not ever going to get a note just a tabS. Samsung has really listened this time. I have a Tab S 2 so no more updates for me ever. Thank you for doing a good job on the break down it really helps us all in my opinion.
This tablet how many years will it last until it becomes almost obsolete. Samsung updates them until the range of years after launch. Because in the case of ipad pro I understand that I have insured about 3 to 4 years by its processor. As would be the case with this samsung tablet
I was thinking of getting a tablet so i looked up crash tests and tablet stats ,the new ipad air 3 did way better then the s6 with the downside of a slight increase in price.Would ask you not to throw shade too quick.
That's probably true! Apparently it is already selling very well. I couldn't get my hands on one here because all three Samsung Experience stores in my vicinity ran out of stocks the very first week and even different shops have a shortage of selection :D Well, the entire industry was saying tablets are dead, turns out you just need to put in features people actually want (current gen CPU, fully functional keyboard, laptop-style layout, etc.). Who would have guessed, right? :D
So true, this is probably the only issue preventing me from buying it. I have Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and love it. It's sad Samsung has abandoned their 12 inch Android tablets line. 10.5 is just too small for me. Currently have my eyes on iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface (Yes, I know it's pathetic ... :) )
It’s actually a bit harder for app developers to do that because Apple comes out with new tablets a lot slower than the speed that android tablets are being released and that makes it easier to make iOS apps since they would need to be optimized for every android device

My husband just ordered me one last night. Our daughter got the latest surface pro and he wanted to get me the same. But I wanted this more with the latest 8 GB RAM and 256 memory plus LTE. It's the perfect gadget to go for me. I am excited to receive and play with it. Thanks for this review.

You must have a really crappy laptop. And your still playing mobile games not PC games. My Alienware would blow this out the water. I'm still thinking about getting it to lighten my backpack. But I wonder if it can handle compiling and running code. Probably not since people with the surface struggle.

That’s what my Channel is exactly aimed at! because I was tired of wasting all of my time watching these countless videos to see if these expensive products are worth the investment and the reviewers are “reviewing” the product before even turning it on out of the box. Real life usage for actual users. And DeX is the reason you buy this IMO, meanwhile other reviewers are calling the tablet a “big ass galaxy s10” which is far from the truth and barely touched on DeX. Thanks so much for watching!
Shane, this is by far the best brief review of this phenomenal tablet that I have watched. You cover many salient points, and it is obvious you are extremely happy with Samsung's latest offering. I only hope people can see past the ipad pro hype, and give this tablet a shot. Not that ipad pros are not great tablets. They are, but do not come anywhere near the functionality of this Galaxy Tab. Also the included S-pen and far superior keyboard case, as well as the much lower price, should cement its value as a laptop substitute for most people. Thanks for the excellent review.

Don't need to be stuck with any native apps. It's enough to just want to use the web inspector in your browser and suddenly any ARM devices are a no-go..

I have the Tab S4 from last year and technically I don't think an upgrade is worth it but this damn tab S6 has been very impressive in every review I've seen. If apple ever does that, all the chinese phone manufacturers would have one (good and bad ones) within a few months after reverse engineering it. Now only Huawei has a desktop mode other than Samsung, need more of them to add a faster progression of tablet-based apps among other things.
Just subscribed some great videos on your channel including some of the mid range handsets which most TH-camrs don't bother to cover. I use an a70 for my work phone here in the UK and it's honestly a very good handset.
@@amanywahba378 The problem with iPad is that it can't side load applications like Dex can do. Also there are third party apps which is not possible on iPad unless you jailbreak it. It is a lot easier to download android third party apps through apk.
I recently have changed to this from an iPad pro, for me personally I haven't looked back , everything you said in the review , plus file management is so easy, and just popping in a 256 GB memory card that I use with my dash cam soni can review back driving lessons I have given is great . I actually prefer the pen on this to , feels very natural. Great review. If any knows if I can pair a ps4 controller with this tab and use it to play fornite, please let me know how . My little boy is desperate for me to game online with him , but I'm not a fan of screen controls. Thanks.
oh just open the blue tooth on your tab s6 and put your ps4 controller on parring mode you will find on your blue tooth list wireless controller pair with it and you will be able to control your tab s6 but only in games
Good info. I ordered one for my wife who needs it for work. She's a teacher and her school has gone completely digital. That means morning attendance and grades are done on a tablet. I want her to be able to streamline her workflow. I just hope she can work files on her at work and come home and continue on her pc. Oh, I found a USB stick that has USB-C on one side and USB on the other. I have been mainly an Apple guy with iPhones, iPad & MacBook. For me, I will eventually go to iPad Pro for editing photos in photoshop.
DeX is seriously a game changer. All that in a secure vault AND you can run it off your phone on any device while your phone pretends it doesn't even notice. Its the beginning of the personal projection computer

@@ozgundemirr not really impossible anymore. iPhone already put out a statement saying they slow they phones down after two years and Samsung aren't know for that yet. Also the devices like the s10 and galaxy note are very high standard now and are beating apple in the market.

I enjoy them both and cannot bring myself to like one ahead of the other. I agree that the keyboard cover is unique among tablets and makes the tab s6 a credible laptop replacement if necessary. I was watching another youtuber review the tabs6 and she showed the the pen can magnetically stick to the top of the tablet whenever you don't need to charge it. Far easier than putting it in the pouch while working
Great review! I have Huawei's MatePad Pro which has certain pro and cons compared to DeX, but have to say both EMUI and DeX desktop mode makes a whole lot more sense than ChromeOS. Much better implementation, and integration with phone. Also have to state that I like the S6's case pen holder design.
Thx for the review, saw it by accident and ditched my IPad pro. Iwas tired of changing my way of working so it fits my hardware. This devices is really what I was looking for and at this time the price dropped a lot. It was even cheaper then the money I got for my ipad lol. Happy user here and subbed!

That vacuum seal is pretty unique. Don't like Samsung's take on Android but I gotta say, they always have had stellar and unique hardware options.

I LOVE my iPad Pro 11, no question, but I'm salivating over this one. If only i waited a couple more months and bought this one instead!

If you're not stuck with some native windows apps then definitely s6 is amazing.

Great review, getting one of these even it's a 2-3 years old.
Finally a real alternative to the iPad and also a much better laptop replacement. Having a real desktop is so much better for productivity.

I have the tab s4 and I use hancom office which mimics Microsoft office from the desktop for free

yea, and two years later after some updates it will be sluggish as hell, typical of samsung.
Same with apple phone aswell rlly.
Sam Spotlight not really, mine is as fast as the day I got it after 3,5 years, which is impossible for any samsung device
@@ozgundemirr iam using s8 since day 1, currently typing on it, no lag, u havent yet trying newer samsung device dont you. In comparison, i saw my sister's iphone 8 getting laggy though 🤔
@@ozgundemirr not really impossible anymore. iPhone already put out a statement saying they slow they phones down after two years and Samsung aren't know for that yet. Also the devices like the s10 and galaxy note are very high standard now and are beating apple in the market.
@@ozgundemirr Nope. I get Samsung Galaxy J6 at 2018 and now 2020 still as good as new. It just how you manage your phone

An excellent review, Shane. It is thoughtful and salient points are treated without bias. I am happy that you resisted comparison with iPad pro. I have the tab s6 as well as 10.5 in iPad pro. I enjoy them both and cannot bring myself to like one ahead of the other. I agree that the keyboard cover is unique among tablets and makes the tab s6 a credible laptop replacement if necessary. Thank you for the superb coverage of a truly excellent device.

Great review... I just picked this up and love everything about it.
I was watching another youtuber review the tabs6 and she showed the the pen can magnetically stick to the top of the tablet whenever you don't need to charge it. Far easier than putting it in the pouch while working

Great review! I have Huawei's MatePad Pro which has certain pro and cons compared to DeX, but have to say both EMUI and DeX desktop mode makes a whole lot more sense than ChromeOS. Much better implementation, and integration with phone. Also have to state that I like the S6's case pen holder design.
Thx for the review, saw it by accident and ditched my IPad pro. Iwas tired of changing my way of working so it fits my hardware. This devices is really what I was looking for and at this time the price dropped a lot. It was even cheaper then the money I got for my ipad lol. Happy user here and subbed!
