Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 review. Samsung refuses to give up on tablets and after using this Galaxy Tab S6 extensively, I’m sort of glad they haven’t. Let’s get into my experience with it.

how is the experience of using your new tab s6? am curious
I bought the samsung galaxy tab s6 as a replacement for my laptop and I don't regret anything because what I do on a computer I can do on a tablet. And now I can use it as my notebook for college. I bought the 8gb ram version and 256gb internal memory.
What do you think about 6gb ram, is it differ frankly in performance with 8gb ram?

I want to replace my laptop with this tablet, but I heard it's not possible to have multiple word documents open at a time in dex. Is this true?

I think the dark horse feature is being able to sync the tablet to your phone and the tablet then receives calls and texts, and uses the phone's data.
I used it last weekend at a workshop, and the note taking amazing, and getting those notifications was a very cool touch as well.
Theres also Samsung flow I dont know why nobody is talking about it

why the iPad has been a fail and why I used Samsung, Asus and Sony tablets: open up TH-cam on your iPad or iPhone. Search for 8K Peru video. Play the video and go into settings. Change the playback quality from 720p or 1080p all the way up to 1440p.
I did this in the World Trade Center Apple store. Except I couldn't. I asked one of the sales people to show me how. They said "sure. no problem dude..." five minutes later he had to call over the supervisor. He couldn't figure it out either. They asked the super supervisor genius dude. He said "uh I don't think you can do that in iOS".
I took out my Samsung Note 9 hit the 3 dots in the top right hand corner and instantly changed the playback quality to 1440p. Took out my Tab S4. Same deal. For any TH-cam video I could increase the playback to 1440p if filmed on a 4k device which is very common now. How this is not possible on $1200 iPhones and iPads is ridic. if this is finally available on the 2019 iPads let me but at those prices I still won't bite. Apple have raised the prices of all their products across the board from a simple device like a mouse to the iphone to the Macbooks. Their sales are taking a big hit on volume of sales so apparently they've decided to make up the lost revenue by charging the fanboys the difference. And they come back for seconds.

Hi Thao Huynh, you have a great high quality content. I really enjoy your candid approach. I have a request, can you confirm about the jelly scrolling effect that the tab S6 might have. I'm kinda seeing this on my tab and is super annoying. It happens in the portrait mode. I read a few articles about this issue on tab S5e.
0:26 I've been trying to find this information for ages. It totally changes my view on whether or not to buy it. By the way, just to be sure, the LTE version supports sim cards to receive SMS and calls directly, right? What size SIM card does it support?

I just gotten my GTS6 and loving it. I got the LTE version from TMobile w/ 128gb RAM because it on special for half off when activating a line. I got a no-name brand case for it without the keyboard since I'll be using the touch screen and pen to interact with and besides I have a separate bluetooth keyboard and mouse when and if I need to use it. Thanks for the review.

Great review, It's nice to see someone who isn't clearly biased towards Apple's iPads for once. Did you find the S Pen flap to not sit flush towards the camera side with the keyboard case? Mine sticks out a bit whereas the other end of the flap is held tight with a magnet

Great review Thao! My wife is looking for a tablet and doesn't really like the iPad series. Hopefully she can check this review out and be persuaded to get this instead. I have the Note 10+, and with the Phone and Messages integration on this, I may have to sell my iPad and pick this up instead lol.
I also got the s6 tab and it really is amazing, my apple loving friends are seriously considering it over an ipad!
Michael Boykin It depends on what she wants, if she prefers watching videos or consuming content on a tablet or a more computer like interface this is a better choice. If she wants a more powerful tablet or one for drawing purposes and one with a better app ecosystem, the iPad Pro is the choice. In fact if she cares about the processor more the iPad Air 3 which is cheaper than the S6 still has a better processor. At least the horrible limitations of iOS has been removed mostly due to iPad OS so the better app ecosystem is not the only major edge over android tablets
@@elevatorfilmersg iPad OS is a joke compared to Samsung DeX. iPad OS reviewers are still freaking out about having two app windows on their screen, which I've had on my Samsung galaxy for 2 years ... :) More powerful CPU and better apps, I'll give you that, considering the fact most Android app developers don't give a damn about tablets, Android tablet experience sucks most of the time, but regarding the fact that Tab S6 has twice as much RAM as iPad Pro and can now run full Linux under DeX, you can really feel that 8 gigs of RAM. So that statement about power is kind of relative. The only reason I would buy iPad over this is the screen size. Almost 13 inches on a tablet is gorgeous, 10.5 is pathetic in comparison. Too bad Samsung has abandoned their 12 inch tablet line, it's their loss. Well, most people don't find it severely limiting, so I guess it's just me. Maybe it's not their fault entirely, when they released their Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 back in 2015, reviewers were saying that it's too big for a tablet and it didn't sell very well. When Apple came with their 12.9 iPad Pro a few years later, I didn't hear any complaints. Some dishonesty in tech community. Same thing about DeX. They say that it's not mature enough to be useful, and yet it's 3 years ahead of iPad OS about which everybody raves about.
Do it. I'm high tech. This tab legit premium. Finally doesnt feel like it's almost there like most cheaper tabs. Will work perfect with S10 and you keep that android freedom.
Petr Soukup: Seriously? I could open 2 app windows on my ancient Galaxy Note 8 tablet which is at least a decade old. I did it all the time while taking notes in class. I’m always fascinated when someone gets excited over a “new” iPhone feature that I can remember having on the Galaxy S5 or even S3.

You mention the case isn't supposed to open freely due to magnets but in my hands it seems it's not working like it should. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? It feels like it won't align nicely as if the keyboard is just slightly being pulled towards the side where it connects to the tablet. Has this ever happened to anyone? I should mention I never had problems with the back part falling although I found it tricky to align at first. Thanks a lot.

Where i come from, the value of dollar is pretty high so even a difference of few dollars means a huge difference in my savings...
But i do cry about lack of a flash on camera esp. when tab s4 had it n also headphone jack! T•T

I have loved Samsung tablets ever since the tab 2 ( yes the the tab 2 not the S2 ) and I just hope that they keep on making tablets
You can use a type c port headphone for these tablets, also there is a type c to aux cable that can be purchased.
Are using this with your note 10+ for work? Do u prefer the ipad or tab s6?

Great review as always Thao! The write on calendar with the S pen is a great function for organising your day. How does writing with the S pen feel as compared to the Apple Pencil? Is the S pen grip better than the Pencil?

I've watched a few comparison videos. Try looking for artist's review because they tend to cover pen usage, parallax (when you use the pen and when it shows up on screen), surface texture and things like that more in-depth.

I love mine. Definitely the premium tab for android. I got the 256gb version love the pen comes free and amazing. I feel like I'm missing nothing but paying $300+ (maybe more like 500) less than getting 256gb apple pro where I have to buy pen seperate. Speakers sound amazing AKG. Beautiful screen. Zero lag since its powerful as heck and great amount of ram. I've already drew a few artworks. Then printed it off on my printer which it automatically found. They even have an app with really good pre drawn art that you that play each stroke and learn to draw yourself.
You can use 2 word docs side by side if you use a secure folder for one of them
Samsung seriously has got a winner here :) this the best android tablet to date, I saw this on the store just yesterday and I was really amazed on how compact and portable this thing really is for a 10" tablet, the iPad really looked chunky when compared to it.

Have you tried the Citrix Workspace app with the S6 or S6 in Dex mode? That is my biggest reason for upgrading to this tablet - the Samsung customer service said I could return after 15 days (even open-box/used) if it doesn't do what I need it to do, but it's really hard to find any insight ahead of time. Thoughts?
I believe the delay with the S Pen is caused but the magnets Samsung put in it and the tablet. I believe they should make it possible to turn the magnets off when in use, and on for storage- as in storing the Pen.

I'm loving the battery time on mine. I am trying to use it as my main device instead of my laptop. Just loving it. I don't miss the lack of headphone jack cos, let's face it, bluetooth is the way ahead today. For me at least.
I have paired mine with a K380 keyboard and a bluetooth mouse. I didn't get the Keyboard cover cos I have not heard many good reviews on it from real world users on forum sites.
This device is the duck's guts and I love it.
