    This Yoga Nidra Relaxation Full Body Scan is like a massage for the central nervous system. You can find more free full length yoga nidras here: allyboothroyd.com
    Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation that helps with insomnia, anxiety, stress, adrenal fatigue, ptsd and so much more. This scan takes you through the whole body, systematically relaxing every part of your being. If you'd like to learn more about yoga nidra you can also look up integrative restoration or iRest which is the life's work of one of my teachers, Richard Miller.
    The word Nidra translates to 'sleep' and is a systematic method of relaxation, inducing physical, mental and emotional relaxation, while maintaining awareness at deeper levels.
    There is really no "wrong" way to practice, close your eyes and allow yourself to be guided into deep relaxation.
    Yoga Nidra is a state of deep sleep while you remain conscious. During Yoga Nidra you can access many different states of consciousness. You might leave your waking state, go through the dreaming state and into deep sleep state, yet remain fully awake.
    Scientific research has demonstrated that restorative power of just one hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to 4 hours of healthy sleep. This is why some people refer to yoga nidra as "bliss for your brain" or "divine sleep"

    This is exactly what I need in my life. I just recently started therapy again after a few years hiatus. But life was miserable at home, at work, everywhere. I feel little peace or happiness. Nothing is enjoyable anymore. So I knew it was time to get back into therapy and start where I abruptly left off last time. My first appointment back in, and my counselor recommended me to listen to this. Among a few other tasks. All the other things she has had me do, is very difficult and I struggle to complete anything or I get sidetracked or bored or my feelings get too high one way or another to do what she recommends. But listening to this really calmed me and brought me back to reality where I feel I leave quite often. I never wanna feel any current emotions, so I just check out. And feel like I’m always having out of body experiences. I have severe ocd and anxiety and ptsd, and my mind is racing constantly. It’s exhausting. So thank you for grounded me and allowing me to feel 15 mins of peace….in my own body and in reality! I will be looking out for more stuff by you!

    My favourite yoga nidra.
    The practice will give you the most stillness and calmness in your body/mind, and the deepest sleep.
    The next day I always have a clear mindset.
