Enjoying you and Moms information. My daughter , husband and 3 children are permanently in Sanur and trying to pursuade us to move to Bali. From our home in Florida. We are 68 years old and just retired with some real estate assets in states. It’s hard figuring how all could be managed to make such a big move! You and your Moms perspectives on life in Bali are so informative and honest! Thank you!
funny to read this! my husband and I are 68 too and our daughter has just migrated to Bali with her husband. We are French, retired and in the process of buying the first house they have just built because it is so pretty! they are currently building 2 more: one for themselves and one for rent! that" s why I am so inspired by these two ladies` stories! Bali is obviously a magnet right now!
Don't hesitate go and enjoy your Grandchildren, just leave one property to return to the States and just rent in Bali. If you are active and any medical problems are well managed, then you don't have much of a problem. I am 67 and my wife is 63, but to be honest we couldn't move away from our 3 Grandchildren while they are all so young. Ideally 9 months in your home country and 3 or 4 months in Bali would be ideal as well as another option. There are some lovely homestays to rent that include a kitchen for around US $ 40 a night, with a shared pool.
Hi Linda and Debbie, How fun to watch you from California to your life in Bali. I think it's very impressive and I really loved being a part of the conversation. Big smile listening to you chat about the motor bike and I completely agree with Deb. No way would I want Linda riding on the back of my bike. Linda would take over and be riding you around town. Thanks for sharing your life. I will look forward to the next installment.
I love your videos, Linda at 81 you are amazing and an I think you would cope well on the back of your Debbie’s motor scooter. 😉 Your home is absolutely gorgeous Debbie. Keep the videos coming ladies. 🤩🌸
Wow, your Mom is so funny and cheeky 😂 - what an inspirational, like my Mom as well, which is closer to her age. It’s awesome you two have each other’s back. Debbie thank you for sharing your story. Totally relatable. Loving your dogs & the renovated villa. Just need to figure out how to get enough money & savings to move. Weather is huge - trying to get out of windy weather to warmer one, but yeah humidity is a challenge alright. Stay cool.

Lovely and comical video of both of you, beautiful ladies living your best life! I can appreciate your mom's honesty regarding the heat and humidity. I am a person who prefers different seasons. I say this as I sit in North Dakota as a travel sleep tech. I moved from North Carolina to North Dakota recently to embark on a nomadic lifestyle that will also allow me to still travel abroad between work assignments, as my house still sits on the NC market. 🙃 I say all that to say, and I still enjoy your content very much because I love hearing about people living a fulfilling & peaceful lifestyle on their terms! ❤😊🙏🏽
Thank you Natina for your insight. I've been to North Dakota and loved it. Although it's cold, I know you will be very happy there. If you had a video channel about living where you are, I would subscribe in a heartbeat. I'm the same way, love to see how other people in the world live.

Hello! So much in common! Or kids are building first villa in Sanur Bali now. It is difficult to understand the processes- believe the land for a building is purchased as a lease? Are you moving to the home your kids built? Sounds like you and your husband want to be close to family as we do. We are very hesitant to leave America.. but life is a journey. Through this great channel learning so much. Our kids feel raising our 3 very young granddaughters in Bali is very wholesome. They love it. Best to your new home!
How amazing...Sanur is a perfect spot. Your family will be happy there. I have a 10 year lease on my villa (see my channel for the home tour). Of course we still love America, but Bali is the home for us...for now. All the best to you too!
Love you two !! You make a GREAT pair !!! Thanks for sharing your story, especially from those of us who are heading to our golden years !! I want to be (as brave as you) like you when I grow up !!! Love your videos and the information shared !! Happy holidays!!! Regards from SoFlo !

Hi Debbie and Linda. So cool to see you again. Good information. Just want to mention Goa in India as an alternative to Bali at this time of the year. October till May is the dry season and temperature around 28c-32C. Pleasant - and cheap living. Come and visit😘😊
Hi, yes, we are sharing next week some details on our cost of living. I have a breakdown of what I spend my money on each week. In this video Mom talks about learning to convert the dollar to the local currency, Rupiah, but in actuality, she's paying attention to how she spends her money. That is the true gift of this experiment with Mom living here.
Haha! Which is why you get our videos. It's not about moving to Bali, it's about how 2 Americans are living an alternative lifestyle in another part of the world. :)
You have such a nice way of treating each other. It reminds me of treating my mum when she was getting older. ❤ I’m interested in Linda’s Sports and stay healthy and smart programm and I’m interested how Debbie writes her novels. Dear Debbie, these days I’m trying to write a novel with AI and sometimes it’s working very well and good, and sometimes the AI writes nonsenses. I published 5 books, 2 fictional romance and 3 nonfiction. The nonfiction books sell better. ❤
Wow, I don't know much about AI for the books, but I'm sure there are TH-cams to help out. lol. Thank you for your comment on what you want to see. Love to you:)
OK thanks for letting me know. Can I ask how much your mums vilia is next to yours ? What is the rent monthly yearly? How does it work over in Bail do you have to take a long lease? Many thanks 😊
@@jacquibrown8607 Mom's house is paid yearly at around $6,300 per year. Some owners you are renting from may require more time up front (3 years or more) and want all the money up front too. You get a better price for 3 years. Some places will let you rent monthly but I found they are much more money in the long run.
