At 72 I am comfortably retired with a nice pension (46 year career in education), no debt, a nice house that is paid off. Yet, I crave the life that you describe. I am thinking of moving to a warmer climate where I can run, bike, be outdoors everyday. Yet I find myself frozen. Stories like this are really helpful and provide encouragement and motivation. We live staying at Blue Karma, the accommodation is amazing and the food is to die for.

By the time you got the grocery store you looked pretty exhausted…..just saying. A persons shopping habits says a lot about their lifestyle and choices. Based on your fixed income I thought you would shop at the open air market with locals, not the equivalent of Whole Foods Bali.

Great video where do you get your fruit & vegetables, salad from as thats what i eat every day, do you have to wash it all to make sure it is clean? Do you use tap water as i worry about getting sick. Also do you have a oven so you can do home made food such as a nice roast with vegetables. 😊

How did you choose where to live ?How did you get your animal's dogs, I love dogs & never considered getting a dog there, but I was over in Suner in November and lots of dogs were being walked now. I love that. 😊 Do you feel safe at night ? Why did you move to Bail ? Was it hard leaving friends & family ? What do you do all day ? Hopefully, you can do a video on these questions. Love the humour in the video. I guess the humid weather can change your hair 😊 mine is naturally curly so I loved it. 😊

If I were to video my families interactions, people would think we are arguing and nasty to each other! However, It's just our dry sense of humour! We are a very close family, but we love sarcasm! 😁

Fun true fact…tissues and baby wipes are not meant to be flushed down the toilet. They don’t break down properly and clog up the pipes. I learnt this during Covid in Australia working in a supermarket. Due to toilet paper shortages that’s what people were doing. I knew a few plumbers and they were run off their feet unclogging peoples plumbing. No joke. That’s an expensive lesson to learn. Plumbers were making a killing from it. Only toilet paper and ‘flushable’ wipes specifically for toilets. I hope this helps people because I didn’t know myself until stupid Covid. Man food is cheap in Bali!

I love your mom’s honesty about Bali (and retirement). I’ve been to Bali. I didn’t find it to be nearly as romantic as it is often portrayed. That said, every place has its pros and cons. That’s life. I’m wishing you and your mom well. 💜

You can’t compare Haagen Dass to Gelato. Try their Belgium chocolate flavour. The taste and texture is worth the price. I’m in South Africa and it’s also expensive here but I buy it if I want ice cream

Aah mom n daughter is always so sweet! Unless you’ve grown up in humidity knowing how to combat it-miserable. I did! Houston Tx and Florida. 98% humidity added to 80 and above-dripping forget cooling off! Times of day you do things, times you don’t! I will say I’m shocked at how high some grocery items were! Almost our price here for items-which prompts me to ask; why grocery store and why not buy local fruits n veggies at least? Is something different or they’re ‘safer’ or something? Or just convenience of all one place get everything? Thanks for answering! Loved the Blue Karma, would want to stay there. That bag idea over the cat is genious and WAY better than those stupid cones! Loved watching you two together so sweet! Thank you 🙏🏻😎

It was interesting to watch your Mom navigate the "gangs" and appreciate you posting the prices of the different groceries.
