    So I got a '19 RKS with a stage 2. I bought it 1 year old slightly used. I did my 2nd oil change on the trans before winter storage- both time I got a lot of metal stuck on the plug. Overall the bike runs great... figured I'll wait until total failure before fixing since it's out of warranty.

    So people modify the crap out of a stock bike then wonder why the transmission fails?...almost double the horsepower and a chain drive conversion through a stock transmission, FAIL, not rocket surgery.
    Good explanation to at least not pass the blame to the mothership HD. New subscriber!

      You'd be better off just building your own motorcycle and spec'ing it the way you want it instead of buying one for 25k-30k only to end up having to upgrade everything. That's what I'd do if I was going to try to get more power out of the mill.

    The Performance Machine Roulette wheels I had at one point also had no cush drive. One thing you learn from rideing various performance motorcycles is all V-Twins eat cush drives, compensators, chains/sprokets, and tires. But then, that is how you get traction and phenomenal rear wheel control, even down a loose dirt flat track, no need for trac. cont.. Nothing beats two 45° offset common crank, pushing 2 out of 4 long strokes.

  • @Firestorm637
    @Firestorm637 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    All engines vibrate. The chain driven Harley drive actually helps with some vibration to the clutch to the Transmission. Most other bikes are gear driven as transmission is housed in the same wet sump. A gear goes directly from the crank to the clutch basket, essentially

    Are y'all familiar with the M8's--specifically the 107s--issue with Fluid Transfer, or migration? Does Baker also make the PUSHROD, clutch release (OEM PN: 37000218) "REPLACEMENT"? I know that Cycle Solutions Racing (Ft. Myers,FL) carries/sells the replacement as does Macomb County Choppers(MI). But as a HD Indee I'd prefer to go directly to the source of this "Fix It" part!

    It seems to me that the 131 tears up the drivetrain, compensator , clutch , drive belt , transmission. I have a 114 Stage 2. I was gonna do the 131 but I’m holding off because I like relatability over power anyway ! I’ll wait until HD beefs up the drivetrain from the factory someday besides I’ve spent enough on this bike anyway !

    Had to bring my 122 (110hp/140tq) in to HD yesterday because of some crazy noise centralizing from the trans and derby cover. I just had a man o war put on last week and a rekluse clutch basket and then Wednesday I shift from 3 to 2 to go up a hill and it sounded like shaking a paint can. I still have all my gears and no slipping but in N it sounds the worst. In gear riding no issue, in gear clutch in the sounds is there but quieter. HD did all the work and I have a 6yr warranty just curious to know what it is. Have SE Clutch too🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks for the vid. Might upgrade to this trans at some point

    I've been using baker parts for years You failed to mention the price point of that monster which is $3,400 for the 6-speed overdrive also it's an actual real live overdrive and not geared like the 6-speed Harley where sixth is just another gear This thing lets you cruise at very low RPMs at very high speed.

      I have a m8 107 with a stage ll and after 3 years & 60000 miles, my stock shit box transmission went to hell. It's my opinion that we (USA) should build our own bikes again instead of letting foreign entities ruin a good design by using bogus materials.
